No wiring diagram nor nothing, but came with greasy fingerprints yet didn't look like anyone mounted them prior. I should've sent them back but it's a pia living out in the woods.

    As only a few of us know the 99-01 F250/350 didn't come wired for the Heat and Turn/Park indicator in the truck. You have to build two custom wiring harnesses for those two functions to work. Once built it can be installed in the dash between the doors. I've already built a prototype for it and should be installing it this week. I took my turn signals off the funny Grey connector on top of the steering column under the clamshells. I did have to pull ignition key tumbler to get the top clamshell off. I used the LTGRN/WHT & the WHT/LTBLU for turn signals. The Parking light I used the brown wire on the Headlamp Grey connector. Heat power I pulled from the ignition switch BLACK/LTGRN wire. I used a 7.5 amp fuse in line with a power switch with an indicator light to power it. On a side note I chose the BLACK/LTGRN because it's hot only with the key on, that way if I forgot the battery doesn't drain down. Best Wishes n Blessings. Keith Noneya

    I know this is a old vid but had a question, i put 08 mirrors on my 2000 with the lights id assume the wiring is the same. Haven't run the light wiring yet. What would cause both mirrors not to turn right? Being as driver mirror won't tilt inward and pass wont turn outward? They came with adapters that only have 3 wires for them. This was suppose to be "plug n play". Thanks for any input

    I just installed these on our 2006 today. Install was from scratch because truck had no power.
    I drew up my schematics the best I could. Heated mirrors work, lights work, but something is not right with the power mirrors. One of the contacts fried on the switch. Fuse did not blow, but mirrors do not move. There are 3 wires to each mirror. I am scratching my head bad. I double checked my work and if diagrams are right I dont understand why the switch fried.
    I had to order the switch, and am going to have to wait for another but do not want to fry another. No idea what could not be right.
    I will mention I do not recommend wiring the mirror heaters to ignition. The elements will not last long. Max runtime is usually no more than 15 minutes unless it is cold and wet. The elements overheat and burn apart

    • @ProjectTimeGarage
      @ProjectTimeGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว
