Great DIY, but I'm guessing you'd need to apply the "rub-ons" immediately ... that they can't be stored for later use!!!???
Yes wouldn’t store well
Oh good to know. How soon do you have to use them?
Beautiful look both ways!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
Hi Deidre! Wow this video was informative. I've bought many transfers and I am excited to try this method. I was wondering if you did reverse imaging on you prints and can any printable images be used? Thank you for your amazing tips, tricks and ideas.
Anything can be used just if you use words you’ll have to reverse !❤️

Wow 😮
Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Thank you thank you ❤❤❤
You are so welcome
Fabulous technique!!! Thanks for sharing this 😊 Hugs....Janie
You are so welcome!
The prints look blotchy, because the are blotchy. The ink does not "sit" well on top of the silicon coating, it "puddles" & "pools" and then spreads out when pressure is applied to help it transfer. Please do not expect high quality crisp prints using this method as you will be disappointed.
HOLY COW!! You are amazing! I love this technique! AWESOME!! Firstly, is the shiny side up going through the printer and does it need support using copy paper? Like tissue paper does? Any special tips when using material like cotton, denim or burlap? Do you Mod Podge the material too? I HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO!!
The paper can go directly through the printer. It doesn’t need any support.
You come up with the most creative ideas!! Would this work with freezer paper on the glossy side?
No it doesn’t work well
You are AMAZING 😲☺️🙂 Brava 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much!!
Thanks so much and yes, I want to use fabric
A couple of questions - can the paper just be peeled off without printing on it first?
Your images are gorgeous - would they be safe for use on fabrics in the kitchen? Thanks for any help you can provide.
You don’t have to print on . It isn’t washable
i am going to try this ! a vintage sewing machine image on textile for the sewing machine cover i want to make.
Wonderful!
LOVE THIS❣️❣️❣️
Glad you enjoyed
Game changer! When using the mod podge how long does it typically take for it to dry before can remove the sheet?
It doesn’t take very long at all. It would just depend on your weather conditions.
Wow! ❤️😊
Thanks for watching ❤️
This is an awesome tip!! I will definitely try it. My question is, if you are using fabric, is it washable once the Mod Podge is dry? Or it's more for decorative rather than wearable art?
Just decorative
Can the sheet be re-printed and reused? That would *really* reduce the cost! (I've never seen a printable CD label, so I'd have to try backing sheets from ordinary labels, fablon, 6" wide double sided tape.....
❤fantastico🎉🎉🎉🎉 bellissima 💞 idea 💡 😊😊
Glad you enjoyed
Can you heat set the image on fabric? Can the fabric be washed. Been watching from the your beginning posts I often buy from your etsy store.
You come up with the greatest and most inventive ideas - can the glossy label sheet be reused after the transfer?
I have been able to use one twice, but after that, the ink sticks to it
I splurged and bought some IOD transfers last year and now I don’t know what I did with the envelope they came in. I can’t find it anywhere anywhere. 😭
Just to clarify, do you apply the transfer sheet to the Mod Podge when it is still wet?
Yes exactly
Can you use the slick sheets more than once?
I have used twice but then starts to stick
What setting did you use for the paper on your printer?
I did not adjust any settings on my printer. It is just how it came from factory.
Would this work using waxed paper
No unfortunately not it smears to easily
@@OurUpcycledLife thanks
Would waxed freezer paper work the same
No unfortunately not
Can you use the CD sheet more than once? Can you wipe it off removing any left overs from the previous print before printing on it again.
That's also what I'm wondering. Can it be reused as long as any prints are gently wiped away? Is it possible and if not, can you still use it for a grunge effect? BTW, I love this idea and your channel!
I have been able to use the sheet twice and then after that the ink seems to absorb into the paper and doesn’t transfer well
I was able to buy a lot of the release paper, but I have forgotten what it was called a print shop was able to find it for me. I did a print on the paper then rubbed it on a damp watercolor paper. It comes out slightly distressed
Just remember to mirror any type face.
Thanks for new techniques
Glad you enjoyed
Did I miss it? Does the transfer have to be done right away while the ink is wet?
Yes works best
Just wondering if you have tried this on smooth sanded wood?
Yes ! Must be very smooth thought and works best on painted surface
I think you must have read my mind. I was just wondering if there was a way to do this. Thank you for sharing.
Glad I could help!
By chance, have you tried this technique, printing on a clear acetate sheet??
No, I have not sorry
Can it transfer onto wood? Thanks!
It can transfer if it is a smooth flat surface
Can you use this method on glass bottles?
Yes if painted so it has something to stick to
Thank you 😊
Can you please post the make/model of your laser printer? I and a few others are requesting please!!
I used a ink jet for this project not a laser
Would wax paper be too thin to print them on?
Yes it doesn’t work well
@@OurUpcycledLife Ok thanks!! ☺️
