Thanks for the info and FYI, Whiskeytown is not a sleeper. Probably the most consistent Kokanee lake around, limits or near limits always and most fish 15-16” and thick. Been that way since the fire several years ago
Great video! Gotta get out to the delta next week, hopefully the stripers are still there, it’s been a busy spring for me! I wanna go scoop up those big mamas out there!! Thanks for the update!!
Just met him at EG Toyota the other day as my daughter n wife had service on their vans. Milton was talking to my daughter and I came up in the conversation lol
Yes its a very well put together boat. It's rigged with the best and perfect for stripers, trout, kokanee and out in the bay for halibut n stripers. I'm only using it for kokanee and trolling for stripers in delta. After the year I bet it will only have 30-40 hours on motor.
Thanks again Alan really like your channel. Quick question what would you recommend for a Kokanee rod. And do you use a different rod when fishing while using lead core off the back of the boat vs on a down rigger?
Lots manufactures make kokanee rods. There are usually light action with parabolic bend so it can be loaded up in the DR. I prefer 7 ft and 7'9" to 8ft as I stack n use the 7' for the top rod. For lead core I use a little heavier rod and prefer fiberglass as it more flexiable. I'm using a 7' cranking rod designed for bass fishing.
I still think that striper are in the rio vista area also. Going out this weekend. I typically do good up until July around sandy Beach rio vista. Usually anchor out in 15 feet deep water or less.
Good morning Alan thank you for the report. Very helpful How much do you charge just for a basic setup and to do the updates on a Lowrance fs9 ? I have two of them. #TugLife
I'll get the model in the next day or so for you. It's a 20 ft Duckworth with 4 Optimun 10 cannon DR, Minnkota Ulterra auto deploy, Lowrance HDS 12 Pro and a HDS 9 Pro in back and Yamaha 150 four stroke

Yes I know but lots folks from Sac and south don't know. Most of the lakes are fishing really good now as the weather is heating up.

Went to Union Valley today trolling early morning Mackinaw & Kokanee 👎 caught one 14in rainbow 🌈 Other fishermen said poor fishing ☹️
I was going to try there this weekend maybe I'll go Bullards, thanks for the update.
Thanks for tip on leader length behind the dodger. I'm going to shorten up a little and see what happens. 🤞
Good luck!

There are still a lot of stripers in the Liberty side so they should be some out in Rio Vista. Lately its been real windy too

I do electronic consulting which are two hour sessions. I update the units and go over GPS N Sonar which takes about two hours for $300
