Chelsea's issues are part of a bigger issue in world football. The game has transformed into an athletic, technical battle rather than any emphasis on skill and creativity. This seems to have created a generation of relatively average footballers who produce little to entertain the crowd.
I wanted 10-8th last season & 5-7th this year before challenging for top 4 next year. We have the tools to do it, I wouldn't swap our squad with Spurs / Villa / United's or Newcastle's.

In the end, I think it will still be, can Maresca's Chelsea break down teams who play with a low block? This has always been a problem for Chelsea the past few seasons.
With Maresca tactics, yes for sure. The problem is now is the high intense pressing team. Our back player are so nervous when they get pressed and make silly mistakes leading to goal. It needs to be resolved.
You guys are berrating Chelsea as if no club goes through rough patches. Compared to the first year, we are making much more sensible transfers. the 45 man squad? Worrying is the quantity of simple defensive mistakes and missed conversions. This current group is not a fine tuned, slick running machine. Overall 90 min match fitness still concerning. Uncertainty about starting goalkeeper, cb pairing, lam and a cf add to those woes.
I have always said that chelsea was not bought off from abramovich for footballing reasons. The new owners see the club as a big financial market and the more commodities (players) you have, the more you can trade for profit. It is all about buying and selling commodities, not winning anything. That is why they allowed the club to be coached by a championship level coach, coz deep down they don't care bout the football side. Chelsea will suffer for that for years.
Football is a very simple game actually. Why do these managers make out they are so "inventive"?? Defend and attack...play your position. How f*&^kin hard is that!
unfortunately, a much more difficult fate awaits Chelsea than last season... a terrible defeat and a blow is yet to come. This is obvious according to all the statistics, unless a miracle inspires them like last season, a miracle called Palmer...otherwise they would have ended that season very painfully without him...and this time they will have even more confusion!
Additionally..having an entire club play under the SAME STYLE OF PLAY is not a route of success for the long term. It’s a route to become like the City Football Group & all about money. But nobody wants to talk about that bc “bLuE iS tHE cOLoR”. That club. Is. Gone.
Atrocious for Twomey to suggest Gallagher is good enough to start for Atletico, but not for Chelsea. Atletico are far ahead of Chelsea, as a football club, have a steady structure and recruitment strategy, and are way closer to challenging for La Liga and the Champions League than Chelsea will ever be. You'd never see a club like Atletico giving a manager with one season in the championship under his belt, a 5 year deal because they are not a club run by amateurs without a clue of what they're doing. The arrogance of English journalists to try and elevate PL clubs over continental European clubs, when they are nowhere near that level, never ceases to amaze.
Say what you will those continental clubs you describe would find it very hard to play in the premier league the level of competition is just immense from top to bottom ,Liverpool Chelsea united arsenal spurs have all finished out of the top 6 in the last decade or so . In other leagues that is just unthinkable for the traditional big hitters.
Chelsea have a lot high potential ceiling than atletico Madrid and as a club worldwide are bigger,You sound like you’ve just got a lot of hate towards Chelsea if I’m honest
Agreed. I love Conor’s work rate and pressing energy, but he’s erratic in possession. It’s a big challenge for him to hold down a place in a top-10 European club, but he has the mentality and professionalism to make a go of it. The Chelsea he loves doesn’t exist any more, thanks to the chumps in charge, I’m afraid
Maresca does not come across that well. Quite arrogant. Owners have no connection with fans and see it as a money making operation. Poch managed to get fans onside and some decent results and he was kicked out. At least there was some excitement in attack. Leicester fans seemed worryingly not bothered at losing Maresca. Chelsea should have appointed Fabregas with Terry as assistant.

This is obvious according to all the statistics, unless a miracle inspires them like last season, a miracle called Palmer...otherwise they would have ended that season very painfully without him...and this time they will have even more confusion!
Let’s just hope these are teething problems
Additionally..having an entire club play under the SAME STYLE OF PLAY is not a route of success for the long term.
It’s a route to become like the City Football Group & all about money. But nobody wants to talk about that bc “bLuE iS tHE cOLoR”.
That club. Is. Gone.
The last time we had(chelsea) a good defence we won the champions league
this was awsome
its fun to see the absolute horrid attemt to spend money mindlessly and to see it fail. Almost pity them honestly.
Hows it going man. Are you ok
We literally haven’t played a competitive game yet. No reason for panic as far as I’m concerned
Those Chelsea fc owners are there for business and not for the fans such a pity...regardless we remains blues till 💙
Maresca must remove Badiashile, Colwell, and sterling from the starting 11 if he wants to progress forward
No they aren't, we've won two more Champions League's than them recently. Stop lying and yes Gallagher is awful
This is amazing. You think you are offering a reality check. But you have no idea what you are talking about.
Chelsea is no longer a top club. Thats their reality now and fans and pundits needs to get used to it.
RIP
Chelsea are pound for pound the most expensive pile of $#@& team ever assembled. Palmer is single handedly keeping them afloat
Fabregas? Nah mate. All the tension between the fans and the owners will be forgotten if the results are good.
Good day to laugh at Chelsea ☕️
You out here laughing while the fact that your team haven't won the League since 20 years ago, haven't won any European trophies, or the fact that "TiTLe CoNtEnDiNg" Assna actually have the same amount of trophies as mid table Chelsea last season is nothing short of ironic to me. Ignorance is bliss 😂
@@Trapattoni21 cope harder mate lol
@@streetjustice4287 last time I checked, you lot were the ones who cope harder after finishing the season trophyless last season. Talking big about bigger fish to fry only to end up with no fish at all. Peak delusional right there 😂
@@Trapattoni21 lol do you even hear yourself? title contenders vs....whatever you lot are, maresca in is all i can say 😂
@@streetjustice4287 celebrating 2nd place finish like winning an actual trophy cuz you're not even good enough to win a real trophy says a lot about Assna and their heritage. Even Chelsea managed to get to a cup final last year while Assna aren't even good enough to get to a final. Maybe next time win an actual trophy, then you can talk all you want. IF you can actually win one 😂
You guys are just worse at what you are doing. You can't judge a team based on a few preason games or first games of the season. If you guys knew football you would have waited before blowing hot air like you are doing 😂😂😂
Chelsea think Gallagher isn’t good enough to start in a team that wins leagues and challenges for CLs so they send him to Atletico? Where he’ll be a starter and challenge for La liga and regularly go deep into the CL?
when have Atletico won the CL? Also they aren't challenging for no La Liga, stop lying.
@@denzel9086 ?? They won la liga in 2021? And Barca are a wreck as always? Real prolly win it but they’re up there? And Atletico have never won, but they’ve made the final and made it deep, that’s why I said challenge
@@waltdraper1 wow 2021… the same year Chelsea won their second Champions League… how ironic. Stop bigging up Atletico. Gallagher is gone and Chilwell will soon be next. Mount was awful for United tonight as usual. We won. Stop crying. Our side of the fanbase won and there’s nothing you can do about it.
You cant have the front/middle 6 all be skilled finesse players. You need a dog!! In there and you sold your dog to la liga where i guerentee he does well. Gallagher was a huge mistake to sell. It's clear its not about winning its about the pound note.
Also you will lose Palmer. He wants to win you guys finish 6th with snother mighty season of Palmer snd he will force a move. Chelsea will be happy to cash in and thats the problem.
No chance of top 4
Symptom of American ownership. Liverpool are being saved by inspired coaching and sporting director hires.
Do you think what you just said makes sense?
Just hope you all do a video on how wrong you are about Chelsea.

Manager from Championship already making excuses to be sacked by October...
Relegation within 2 years

As an Arsenal fan im here for it....
But as a football fan I actually feel bad for Chelsea fans
Whats the samemold chelsea. Our fkn gov took down chels like it or not the mens and womens game flourished. Geoploliticalness postures thanks boris bell head johnson. Am i wrong
I love when people who never managed and maybe they managed their kid when they were 7 years old, talk about managers that do that for living. LOL That is why I never watch these sorts of things. The minute these people talk about management and training, I look them up to see if they have done it, if they have not done it, I do not waste my time, that is why I just watch 3 minutes of this.
The israeli government and the chelsea ownership group are the only 2 entities I hate with all of my heart.
Yank ownership
Once someone brings a new style of football ie (pep) at man city! Leicester got enzo maresca , stated well but fell away for a spell, but got it going again, anyway hope it turns all right for you.
