I also like the way you name the folder/buses using all caps and have started doing that myself.

Did not know that, but I just edit all the tracks in the folder by editing the folder track.

A playback preroll option would sure be handy to hear that fade in context without loosing your zoom view. (knock on wood)

Thanks, Joe, for the tips here on using folders and setting up groups! Super helpful.
However, to accomplish the multiple simultaneous edits, can't you simply: quickly select the events and immediately edit them together? Must they be first officially grouped?

When I press #1 repeatedly, the tool options do not cycle. What's with that? I've got 6.5.

If you look up 'self-effacing' in any dictionary there should be a picture of Joe Gilder

how do I group tracks into a folder can't get this to work

I was hoping this would tell me how to create and populate folders. It's a nice short cut to be able to manipulate multiple channels at once but a bit pointless if I don't know how to group them all together in the first place.

Select the tracks, right click, "Pack Folder"

I'm getting won over to the folder process. I use groups a lot in editing already, but the folder thing a bus and the group button and all that together looks much easier than grouping and ungrouping bassackwards like I've been doing. Franks, JoeJoe!!

Is there a way to group the individual drum tracks in Impact (and other drum plugins) into one folder in the mixer view? If it's not possible yet then I think it's something Presonus should look into.

      You can do it!
All you need to do, just make separate tracks on workspace for each individual chanel. I doing it manually, but if you right click to your event or pattern with drums, you can find something like "separate pitch to individual channels" (I don't remember that)
After this steps, all channels in the mixer view will follow the folder. At least it works with Impact
