That still requires you to insert a second instance of that VST first and then copy over the event. The macro does it all in one click. Regardless, use whatever works best for you!
Nice video with some pretty useful macro. FYI for pattern you can also do ctrl double clic on the timeline and it create a pattern instead of a standard midi event

Not on the channel but once you download the free toolbar you’ll get a link to some instructional videos. There you’ll find a video on how to setup the FX macros.
I think this is amazing. I am going to download this today. I have one question or request. Would it be possible to make a macro to gainstage every step of the way. For instance. I make a beat I bring all my tracks to negative 12 or as much as negative 15. Then I'm working on a single track let's say the kick. I add compression and then eq. Each time I add a plugin if the plugin doesn't have auto volume compensation I have to manually bring it back down so I am getting the real true sound rather then just hearing the signal louder and thinking it sounds better. I hope that made sense. If I could have a macro that after every plugin added I could press the macro and ensure that the sound is coming out at the same db that it went in. So I have my kick and negative 12 add a compressor which makes the track ply out at negative 14. So I press the macro. It brings it back to twelve. Then I add a eq. It raises it to negative 4. So I press the macro and it brings the track to negative 12. Would something like this be possible
Hey Ivan , thank you for this amazing Video ! One question , is it possible to add all those Shortcuts that you have in your Timeline to a Stream Deck ? I am thinking of switching from Cubase to Studio one because there are some features in Studio one that I miss in Cubase.
Not for every track. Without getting too into the weeds, DAWs have a ton of internal headroom now so when I'm gain-staging tracks I do it either so that the gain matches the threshold that certain plugins need to operate properly (hardware emulations) OR most of the time so my master fader doesn't clip.
Great video, I’m totally new to this and I’m currently frustrated. I got a lot of waves plugins and I have no idea how to install them. It’s confusing what version to select v13,14,15 etc. I let the system choose that as well as were to send it. It says they downloaded but don’t show up and I don’t see any licenses. There whole system is weird, I really need help, thanks
I feel you, it can get really overwhelming. Waves has a handy plugin installer called Waves Central where you can download them all from one place. They have a weird update business model where you have to keep paying to get the latest updates so I would just say download the latest version that Waves Central let's you download.
