I'm sure it's a GREAT engine and sounds like a conservative build (very smart), but many people think a 2 yr. warranty on this is the same as a Ford, Chevy or Dodge factory warranty, where they do all of the work. If you are a hardcore gearhead, then this engine is probably a perfect marriage. Me? I'd rather buy the car right in the first place and be happy with it.
I put one of these superchargers on my 2012 Mustang GT automatic (3.73 gears). The motor lasted 5 months. I had it dynoed and data logged when I first installed it and was told it was a conservative and safe tune New motor cost me 10, 000 dollars. I sold the supercharger to a guy who owned a 2012 Mustang GT convertible and his motor lasted 4 days. The stock coyote with 11.5:1 compression and sintered metal pistons doesn't like boost. With a 9.5:1 Aluminator you would be able pound on it and have it last.
My gen 1 coyote threw a rod at 111k miles after 1 week on e85 and 670wheel. Lasted 111k miles on 92 octane and 600wheel. Stock gen 1 rods are crap. This set up with built forged coyote and 9.5: 1 compression will last forever at 800wheel e85 or 750wheel 93 octane. Gen 1 coyotes are timbombs over 600wheel. Did both you guys throw rods and wreck engine like me..
these dohc coyotes blimp reves so quick they respond faster they rev higher and make more power but as Jeremy clarkson said if you want a proper car you pay a proper price
Tee Z yeah i kind thought the same as well ....there pretty steep lets say you beefed up the 5.0 with aftermarket engine internals to withstand the 700hp ....i dont think you would hit 22000 dollars blue printed (money spent on engine) there has to be another way
+Faisal Abdulaziz stock block can handle over 700 hp just fine. now if you do install forged pistons and rods, you can also turn up the boost to 20 psi or more, pushing 1200 whp +.
A lot. Look up the aluminator. It's upwards of 16k. For the motor. And the blower. Yes ya looking at 6k more at least. Duel upgrades. Brake upgrades. Trans upgrades. May I keep going.
Cuz it is a crate motor designed for racing. Many of these engines are designed to last far longer than any civic engine on the track. Plus liability reasons as many who buy that engine install it with basic tools rather than spending extra for a shop to install it.

On a coyote if you buy anything other than a vmp blower then your making a mistake. The edelbrock is literally the least efficient of any blower you can buy
I'm a mod motor guy I will say these motors havet ben around long and look how ford put no effort into them the 2v for 20years 210 to 260hp 300tq the 3v had a 6year run 300hp/tq the 4v without blowers were 300hp/tq now ford thinking harder 30years late ford made to 2v head cast both didn't flow well without work the 3v they made one head that flowed OK they did the 4v right but n/a it was still hard to make big numbers without a blower if the coyote and 5.2 motors were out 15years ago they would get more respect

Stupid rant since you, apparently, have never looked up the definition of "motor" or "engine." You might want to do that first. You'd find out that a motor runs on electricity OR internal combustion, while an engine is a much broader term and is a device that converts power to motion.
No stock engine Coyote will make that. But yes we make a supercharger capable of over 1000hp. You need a fully built engine in order for it to survive.

9.5:1 aluminator or any built low compression coyote with 2650 blower will last 200k miles at 800wheel on e85
