I remember when the family traveled back to New York for a bridal shower or a baby shower. These gatherings the day before the event were the food prep day. A hundred plus family and friends would be attending so it was a lot of work feeding everyone. Crab stuffed mushrooms were a staple appetizer on the menu.
This has been a classic in my family for as long as I can remember! We actually consider it one of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve! (I know not traditional, but it's our tradition!) Excellent recipe gentlemen!
@BrooklynBrothersCooking oh no I thought I was commenting on the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat video. Sorry. With the mushrooms I was thinking maybe put a little mozz. In the center of the stuffing in the mushrooms, but not sure if it would be better on top the last few minutes.. I don't really want to skip the pads of butter on top, that makes it *chef's kiss* good. Just wanted to know your opinion. Thank you for responding 😊
Actually you both do but I would say Chef Dom more. You speak like he did. He was a big marshmallow !! He was also a chef on a ship but he didn’t cook when he was at home. My Nanny did all the cooking.
Oh my yummy gosh, these look amazing! I had bought stuff to make these today, using a different recipe but to heck with that, I'm going to do them your way! I'm drooling just thinking about how yummy they're going to be for dinner!! 😊😊😊
@@BrooklynBrothersCookingI made these tonight and they were so delicious! My mushrooms were a wee bit on the chewy side... Did I overcook them or undercook them? Thanks so much for sharing this recipe 😊 I will definitely be making them again and this will be added to my collection of recipes... I have already shared it with my mom, who is planning to make them next week 😊😊😊
you guys are the best, thank you for a good presentation. Have my Moms recipe for Italian mushroom's but can't wait to try your recipe and have guests tell me what a cook i am even though I am not a cook
Cheese or no parm cheese? Later in reply, you say parm on a comment. Also how much butter goes in with celery , garlic and onion. I would guess 2 to 3 tbls? Oh and 1/4 tsp pepper and the 1 tsp salt goes in the stuffing. The mushrooms in the saute stage only get a bit of salt and pepper? Thank you . Fun watching! Going to make Clam chowder for l my husband sometime using your recipe. Pizza too. Stuffed ahrimp! Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎄 🎅 . 2023
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Sorry I missed that. You two are so fantastic and your recipes are the best! I did have a problem with the wine when I added it to the mushrooms. It didn't reduce and it seemed like I overcooked them. Any suggestions?
So sorry, but I watched the video for about 4 times and in the video, you said after you stuffed them, you said now they're ready for the oven...no temp was given, you just said put them in for about 10 minutes. Nothing was mentioned in the written description .
I’m about to attempt crab stuffed mushrooms! I may add some creole seasoning, a bit of Parmesan cheese.. I truly enjoyed your video! I just don’t want to be a copy cat lol oh.. maybe some jalapeños and Louisiana hot sauce… I’m from south Texas after all! Wish me luck!

Ive made these before and they were amazing! If i wanted to include some mozzarella this time, how would you add it for the best results?
@@N0O0PeEe333 once the artichokes have cooked at the desired time, go ahead and add the mozzarella cheese and then bake until melted

Does it say somewhere how hot to bake them? I think I saw 425 on the video, but I can't be sure. I want to make these!
Yes, 425 😊
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Perfect, thank you!!
can i substitute foe the celery?
Nothing
what temp did you put them in the oven at for the first time?
425°F
@BrooklynBrothersCooking ah...no wonder! Lol I cooked them at 375 and they were kind of gummy... put them back and broiled...now much better! 😉
Wait, what temperature??
450
Yum! What is the oven temperature and bake time?
Hi Kath! 450 degrees for about 20-25 minutes
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking 😘💕🥰 Brooklyn Rocks! Happy to find you today!
How long ovens
425° for about 30 to 35 minutes.
Is the oven set to 350? I don't think I heard it. You said put them in the oven for 10 minutes. I'm making them now. Thanks!
Sorry for the late response. It’s 450. The temp is actually in the description of the video.😊

Absolutely love this recipe, but I am surprised you didn't add any Parmigiano Reggiano cheese! Yummmmm....
The cheese over powers the crab
I have a stove like that… at our rent house, how do you clean it up well? Mine has like burnt on stains from previous tenants… HELP!
I use WEIMAN Glass Top Cleaner. The kit also comes with the razor blade for tough spots.

Italians have a real problem with eyeballing measurements. That ain’t no 2-3 tablespoons of olive erll! 😂
Cream cheese? Parmesean?
Parmesan cheese

I'm dumb when it comes to wine so is there a certain brand you get? I know there is a white and red. Don't laugh 🤣
