    I remember when my dad used to have a 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE when I was 10 years old. Because my dad had the HSE specification it was pretty much loaded to the gills with all the bells and whistles, including but not limited to, tri-zone climate control, heated front & rear seats (which were upholstered in a really nice cream leather!), rear audio controls, you name it!
    It also had a DVD player as well, which I don’t think was fitted from the factory as it was actually a third-party Rosen unit, but it was a nice bonus. Plus, its air suspension meant it was a very comfortable and relaxing car to travel in too...

    The disco 3 and 4 are hands down the best cars Land Rover has ever made. Theres a reason why they are STILL being used for any offroad filming being done. The suspension is honestly next level. The power is perfect for off-roading too, the gearbox (even the auto), can actually handle low-range. The only car I'd consider better (as an SUV), is the Volvo XC90, which is honestly just perfect.

      Bibin Kumar yep and in the long run Jeremy was wrong as there are more discovery 2’s on the road than the d3’s. Far better looking and much easier to maintain and the td5 is the best engine Land Rover ever used/made.

      I don't like any german SUV. Seriously, you can say anything you want about their performance and everything but they are all so damn ugly in my opinion. To be honest, i don't like SUVs in general, but the german ones really take the cake for ugliness.

      Elliot Redding "hating" almost any German car barely makes any sense, you might dislike them, but what is there to actually _hate_ ?

  • @Dodger2879
    @Dodger2879 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I didn't know that actually! That is why I pointed out the early ones.
    I do think that first Discovery is good base material to modify. The Series I (1950's) was a nightmare with big front axle (CV?) ball joints and leather gaskets to keep the oil in and water out! Mine had no heater and blankets and ear muffs were kept onboard. My girlfriend must have been a saint.
    I trusted Land Rover but had no other option at the time.

    “First of all, it’s a handsome looking brute”
