Here in the US, a Land Rover is either a drug dealer or a stay at home mom. I think they are beautiful trucks. But here, it's a trophy to be polished not a utility vehicle to be abused.
@@twotailedavenger it depends, the soccer mom leaning SUVs get treated as such. Most people over here that want to go off-road, haul things, and have a vehicle that they can generally beat up tend to get a truck or a Jeep. Dedicated workers and off-roaders. The SUV of today here is more "compact crossover" than "sport utility", they're filling more the role of the minivan and the station wagon of years past. I work with Porsches and it always makes me laugh when I see them advertising their Cayennes and Macans with rugged off road imagery. They're built with the capabilities, sure, but not one of the owners Ive worked with would dare take it over anything more treacherous than a nasty pothole. Same story with Land Rovers. It's just the market they sell in
To be fair the standard spec is much higher but yes, even having factored the additional standard equipment, it is expensive. A range rover will always be expensive
The Urus is limited to 190mph, so no it doesn’t, still no production has broken 200mph as of right now. Ferrari might make it happen though with the Purosangue.
I agree... not very impressive 0-60 for a $73k supercharged auto! The base Cayenne does it in 7.5, gets better fuel economy, and costs ~$27k less. Sounds like the RR Sport has a better feel than the Porsche tho according to Mr Clarkson; that plus adding a few extra goodies in the RR may be worth it to some people. Regardless, I'll stick to a car for now when I want to go fast :)
If it pulls up at your house, you would go "Oh no, a drug dealer has pulled up at my house." What, isnt that a good thing to scare the crap outta my friends?
you're probably the only one, There is nothing wrong with 4x4's if they are used but of the hundreds of thousands of owners a handful of them do get used. All the rest do is burn more fuel and provide something bigger to crash into for other drivers. Any-way good to hear yours is used, cheers from Australia.
No, didn't get the chance to drive a GT500, but I drove a regular Mustang coupe. Classic american muscle car: fast on a straight line, average in the corners. Honestly doubt that the GT500 is all that different. Couple of months ago I was driven in a DBS, and you really can't compare it. I see them kinda like this: the Mustang is a big, heavy butcher's knife while the Aston is a precise, surgeon's scalpel. They both do the job, but in a different way
Range Rover? racing truck? wat are most of you thinking? Simply the Bowler Nemesis is actualy Bowler's answer to the Range Rover since parts of the exterior of that were inspired by the original Range Rover itself
Buy an automatic one, you will not regreat (; You only need manual in a car that you sometimes want to "play" with, with a Range Rover you don't need to do that kind of playing! Hope I helped (;
Totally agree, except for the tires. The Touareg also weighs almost 3 tonnes, minus a few kilos. And I've driven mine continuously with 250 km/h in Germany when I bought it. Even if we put aside performance and extras, which obviously are nowhere close to the active suspension, low gears and what not on the german ones, design is terrible compared to Q7 and X6, being the most recent SUVs. In fact I reckon the BMW X6 must be the prettiest SUV so far, even though I dislike BMW in general.
i live in Michigan United states. the rust belt the salt belt the snow and ice and rains. the Chevy Suburban and the Ford Excursion is all we use around these parts in the winter time. and you couldnt get to the snowmobile trails with a trailer full of snowmobiles without one.
I've seen a different clip on utube where he just totally bashed a range rover sport, I'm not sayin he gushed over this one but he did give it some good marks.
you are right but them naming the car "SPORT" again also means that they are contradicting themselves! Anyways, what I really meant is that the S in SUV should stand for Supersized and not Sport
The ranger rover sport and regular version can be used each the regular can be used on off road and could put a 50 caliber machine gun on the back and so the same thing on the sport but for on road
After all these years, *I finally found the clip*

Isn't that how all SUVs in the US are treated?
To the point where they *can't* be abused anymore?
Basically how they r in uk
Truck is something different this is a car/suv

2020 and I still think this is the best looking Range Rover sport yet.
nah
Not me, it still doesn't look good. The second-gen RR Sport launched in 2013 look miles better.
@@FAT8893 not really the second gen looks like a Ford Explorer with a body kit on
Agreed, the shape is great.
I love the first generation range rover sport

I'd definitely get this if I wanted to get a big vehicle. No competition, absolutely stunning!
"You'd think....oh no, a drug dealer is here."
XD
10 years later it’s a popular trend
More like " Oh yay, my drug dealer is here"

I love Jeremy for his commentary!
7 seconds is pretty damn impressive for a 2,5 ton SUV.
Ye but fuel
In 2010 it got updated and then it use to do that in 5 seconds
Me: Wow, the diesel version is quite cheap! I'll get one.
Clarkson: 4:14
Me: 🗿
Clarkson is incredible.. one in a million.
The greatest Clarkson review in history lol
Props to Land Rover for still trying to make a box on wheels "sporty".
*brick
This was absolutely the best vehicle I have ever owned. Luxury on road. Sporty. And rugged off-road. And the best looking one of them in my opinion.
34000 for a new RR sport. Including inflation now it should have been around 45000 but the prices are much higher
Yes I noticed that too. Crazy, isn't it?
75-80k now 🤦♂️

How far things have come when a big SUV (Urus) will now do over 200mph and go around the ring faster than a 997 GT3 RS
That is aerodynamic
