Too many cars these days lack character. This car doesn't. It's got loads of character, it sounds glorious with that Supercharged V8, it has got a lovely interior, modern, elegant and warm, is quite a nice looking vehicle, not overly bling, relatively discreet, Handles very well especially for a vehicle of it's size and is brilliant off road. Even if you never utilize most of it's abilities, what more could you ever want or need from a car.
I think this is the best Jeep in the world, one of its model has a marvelous Jeep that can climbed the Rocky Mountain just like a Spider. Great Jeep ever made.
Range rover sport is officially the god of vehicles ... practicality , luxury , toughness . Do not whine about reliability and mpg , with big shoes come big responsibilities , handle them .
I have her. Love her too much. I would never take her off-road. But the engine is perfect 3.0 DTT. Amazing. Few things: Not very reliable though Steering is bit hard No other issues
People always talk about the "smooth, plush ride" in this car but I test drove it and I disagree.... It felt planted and firm, but it wasn't "smooth" by any means and this is coming from a 335i driver! I could actually feel bumps and small imperfections on the road. Is that the goal for this SUV? I thought it aimed to provide an S class-like driving experience on road and off road. I'm not bashing it in any way, I'm just wondering.
Adam Rosenberg I don't mean to sound rude- but have you test driven the full sized range rover? I've driven the full sized 2011 range rover and it didn't feel smooth and S class-like. I would compare the ride quality to the 5 series BMW: comfy but firm. I honestly expected it to feel like a pillow. I've never tried the brand new 2014 full sized range rover though.
I have test driven the full size 2012 range rover. It is a large improvement from the 2011 Range Rover (suspension is all new), and the sport is meant to be firm because it It is meant to give a sporty feel. Even the seats are harder than in the big one
richie s Compared to other SUV's that can genuinely go off road would say the Range Rover is smooth. I am a Range Rover owner and have many other cars.
0:06 "Prices starting at £ 50,000.00" Anno 2019, the base price of a Sport is £ 64.000,00. I can't believe you see so many of these cars on the road. But then again car loans are at an all time high. Cheers
Wow Hammond is starting to get old with the crows feet and wrinkles! I never thought that would happen any time soon:) Still better than all of top gear USA's producers combined!
What is the point of a car that can do both. If your life actually entails doing circuit racing/B-road blasting AND hardcore off-roading, then you could just buy a second hand caterham and land rover defender, which would be cheaper and each much more proficient at the task by lack of compromise.

I own a discovery. Mine is good, for now
Too many cars these days lack character.
2:10 The music is something that arouses mystery or intrigue.
no one can do what them did
they were best top gear
usf soliman
Have you watched The Grand Tour?
off course
them old but still active
Just start worrying when you feel the water coming in lol
12.5l per 100km … it's more "Rover" than "Range" …
Markus Birth to be honest it’s not that bad. I’m getting similar results in a 2.0 discovery sport. The real world stat of that car would be around 15
Luxurious off-road beast
Woiuld love to have seen this comparison if he'd used an SVR to see just how muchj faster that is.
Is there a biker gang setting in the Terrain Response?
HAHAHA! That's great xD
Ahah!
Oh I get it
3:54 look in the side mirror who is driving this car
The stig 😂😂
Well spotted sherlock 🧐
2:51 This is why I DON'T EVER take my Range Rover Off Road... I can't afford it...
And I thought it's because it's hard to find off-road capable towing service
@@piotrnapora5810 hah! true dat
I think this is the best Jeep in the world, one of its model has a marvelous Jeep that can climbed the Rocky Mountain just like a Spider.
Great Jeep ever made.
I miss my Rover Sport they truly are something else
Range rover sport is officially the god of vehicles ... practicality , luxury , toughness . Do not whine about reliability and mpg , with big shoes come big responsibilities , handle them .
Benjamin sorry land cruiser the range cannot compare
5:32 his god damn face XD
Somebody screenshot it and make it a meme!

sonyviva308 Great thought. Hammond's reputation is at risk. lol
*When the Range Rover hasn't broken down yet*
I know lol
Good brand but too costly and too much to repair everyday :D
Don’t repair it everyday, I know people who’ve had ones for years with no major problems
@@JL-jg2jg Most people buy these new and in warranty.
@@rhards no shit
I have her. Love her too much. I would never take her off-road. But the engine is perfect 3.0 DTT. Amazing.
Few things:
Not very reliable though
Steering is bit hard
No other issues
I have Tata safari car
And I always having many off-road trips and its have some less digital technics but its perfect on the off-road
0:41 is my favourite part
Adam Rosenberg ah, I see.. I'm probably just used to decent ride quality to begin with so the Range doesn't seem that special to me
I have test driven the full size 2012 range rover. It is a large improvement from the 2011 Range Rover (suspension is all new), and the sport is meant to be firm because it It is meant to give a sporty feel. Even the seats are harder than in the big one
It's got off road items so it can not be smooth as they can be bumpie
richie s
Compared to other SUV's that can genuinely go off road would say the Range Rover is smooth. I am a Range Rover owner and have many other cars.
What year is this? Show/car?
0:06 "Prices starting at £ 50,000.00" Anno 2019, the base price of a Sport is £ 64.000,00. I can't believe you see so many of these cars on the road. But then again car loans are at an all time high.
Cheers
But what spec wheels and tyres were used on the 494 in this episode? Between the off road park and the race track were rims and tyres swapped?
NASA should have sent Range Rover on Mars instead of creating and sending their their own Curiosity Rover..
too heavy and lack of enough oxygen stopped them
@@ChandranshuDwivedi lack of oxygen for IC Engine..I didn’t even think of that when writing the sarcastic comment..
@@Siddeo maybe your wish will come true when we will have an all electric Range Rover. Mars tested!
THIS IS MY DREAM CAR
Wow Hammond is starting to get old with the crows feet and wrinkles! I never thought that would happen any time soon:) Still better than all of top gear USA's producers combined!
It's produced by the same team. Our at least it was.
sweetcheels Pretty sure he meant presenters. Pretty sure you knew that too.
PommyDownUnder98 No, I don't make assumptions, I merely replied based off of what I read. No biggie, just adding my two cents.
i can see that. Either way you could have put in you reply "however if you were referring to the presenters instead of the producers"
What is the point of a car that can do both. If your life actually entails doing circuit racing/B-road blasting AND hardcore off-roading, then you could just buy a second hand caterham and land rover defender, which would be cheaper and each much more proficient at the task by lack of compromise.
Wow. Its better than I expected
