I love both of these. I like the size and second hand on the MM200 reduced, but the bezel and general design of the 62mas. Honestly I’d go with option 3: the Willard!

The bezel on the mm 200 reduced has a black aluminum insert with Seikos hard coating for added durability and gives it a glossy finish. As a reviewer that is kinda important info.

Great review. I have the 62 and sometimes feel that it’s just a little too thick, but I still love the watch even with all of its “flaws” (fitment of endlinks, accuracy).

I previously owned the older mm200(blue hole), spb143 and mm300
I am now torn between the spb213 limited edition and spb185 steelmaster as my daily wearer. Thanks for your video, my only issues with any Seiko comparison is that they’re all so inconsistent now, the bezels, QC and movements are a lottery and the range between good and bad is so vast it’s just a matter of luck on the one you get.

Thanks, you helped me a lot... but I'm really undecided!!! :) I saw both in a shop, I don't know which one could be the winner

Glad the video helped! It’s a very tough decision, luckily I am able to have both, but you can’t go wrong with either of them. When you make your choice, let us know which one you picked.

62mas wins for me. I have the 143 and 147 and love them. I’m now looking to add the 213 to the collection!

Same here, I have the 143 and 149 limited edition, and love them to death! Now on the hunt for a 145 and saving up for a Marine Master 300 SLA021 now. It's way better looking then the MM200 reduced in my opinion.

Interesting to hear that the mm200r wears better. I own the spb143 and love the size, and I also love the mm200r but I thought it would be too big at 42 mm and 48.8m lug to lug...
But after hearing this it seems like they wear similar in size on a smaller wrist

I hesitate between the two, I will go to a Seiko store to try them. this will be my birthday present 🤗

That my friend, is the correct answer. Don’t forget to come back and let us know which one you chose.

what did you end up with?

Both nice watches. I prefer the MM200 Reduced out of the two, but only slightly, mainly because with the offset crown it "feels more like a Seiko" in my own opinion. On aesthetics alone, the SPB143 is probably nicer for me, but its very marginal. The brushed bezel is really cool on that model. I'm hoping they bring a Pepsi Variant in either of these two watches, that will be for me, but something tells me maybe they won't.
I think if you want a point of difference get the cheaper Gen 1 MM200 as the big diver with a more modern/transitional twist, and get the SP143 as the dressy diver. But Gen 1 MM200 is quite large. I have largish wrists, so I can pull it off, but I do like the sizing better on Gen2 MM200, and SPB143. I guess if you already have the SKX, then the SPB143 is a good watch to add with it.

I have both as well. SPB143 is probably my favorite of 6 seiko divers but I do not own a MM300 yet so that might change :P Yes these watches are getting more and more expensive but so is everything. I owned the gen1 MM200 and 62mas and prefer the latest versions even though they are more expensive.

These are the exact models that I am torn between them and an SBDC051.
