    I love Jordan Peterson. I always hear the media ask why he seems to resonate with young men, but I’m a woman, and I love hearing him.

      the media loves asking that question as its a loaded one. The reality is that its mostly young males on platforms like TH-cam. Doesn't necessarily mean he isn't heard, appreciated and followed by older individuals or females. Its the media simply being disingenuous in their questions.

    I love Jordan. Been listening to him for the past 5-6 years now. I am a Muslim and I am a Pakistani. What Jordan teaches is not just limited to the western world. He has taught me to read and read intelligently; he has taught me to look into myself and to think. When he says the Nietzsche is one in a billion. I was thinking man, so are you.

      @Warren Ross Giving someone names doesn't change or deny his arguments. This nonsence about "darling of the right" just proves, that you couldn't find any argument to use against him, so you decided to label him. You just don't understand, that you tell more about yourself, than about JBP. So next time you want to write about him, make it realy about him and his views, not about your own lack of arguments. @juangringo3906 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha ha me too. Not from the Phils but live here. I point out to my friends here why it is the way it is here. Dont get me wrong I love the ppl but when all the politicians have paid their way into office the ppl cant complain when their government sells them out because they themselves has sold out. The only thing that has held the ppl together so well imo is that most everyone here has faith in Christ but I worry that the totalitarianists who have kept most down here will only get worse. It has already gotten very strict just over the last year or two. Anymore rules and I'll probably be forced out of the Country. If the U.S. doesnt restrore its constitution were all gonna be fkd. Of course unless youre very wealthy and I dont mean peso wealthy either. I think ppl would be shocked to know besides labor and services everything considered a actual asset is actually more expensive here. Especially for the average person. I know even you may think that sounds crazy unless youve been to the U.S. Yes it can be more expensive in the U.S. but that depends on how expensive the person wants it. The buying power of the average westerner obviously far surpasses the average filipinos buying power but when you (ppl) grow up somewhere all your life its not as noticable. It would appear normal but the truth is theres a monopoly here on everything and it makes it almost impossible for the average person to gain wealth. Not that wealth is the most important thing but the opportunity should be afforded to everyone not just the few.

    • @davenoelle1388
      @davenoelle1388 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Agree. Part of my disillusionment with progressivism was because I actually DID the charity the left wants to rob the rich and have the government magically fix. I realized there is no quick fix to move people out of a dark place of despair. I'm not suggesting there isn't a place for UN aids, the Red Cross, etc... Sure there is. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes close to getting your own shit together enough that you can come alongside a person or two, maybe a family, and taking them by the hand to help them to do the same. The government isn't going to teach people how to meal plan, go grocery shopping, cook dinners, and make kids lunches. That seems so simple, but if it was a family that never learned any of that, it can revolutionize their life! It frees up their budget, their kids start thriving in school, they lose weight, have more energy, sleep better... I mean you can't really address upgrading education or small business loans and so on before people can take care of their most basic needs. Like the good Dr says, get your house in order first.

    I love when Jordan says that life’s meaning isn’t about happiness, and that we are too complicated and profound and difficult for that. When you think about the moments in your life that have made you who you are I’ll bet 90% of them were difficult obstacles you’ve overcome - not the simple easy days as wonderful as they may be. It was my parents divorce at 2 years old that made me who I am, growing up with a single mom who worked two jobs, being ostracized by my best friends and finding new friends, overcoming the odds and working hard enough to get into my dream university, applying to over 200 jobs before finally being offered one that made me who I am.

    A 90-yr--old in Canada who loves to listen to Dr. Peterson. I've said it before, God is using him in a great way and I can't imagine what young people would be like today if he hadn't come on the scene when he did, as difficult as it has been for him. I had Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's book and mentioned his story to my husband. I don't think I suspected that he admired the Soviet system but his response shocked me. It was: He is lying. May God open the eyes of this generation to the dangers of communism, with the help of someone like Dr. Peterson. Studying the Bible knocks the naivety out of people I believe.

    We had a "safe to talk" program at western electric Denver Works after I participated in local contract negotiations. In large part because of the dynamic at the table on both sides. The bargaining agents agreed that truth would be told at the table and there would be no consequences for telling the truth. It was one hell of a negotiation but in the end we fixed the big problems facing the Denver Works. In the 80's cost cutting was the big push at AT&T, our parent company. When I told my truth and spoke truth to power, it is hard to describe the power I gained over my adversaries in management. The were hand picked , like me, because we had fought over playing the attendance "game". The entire plan was rewritten but more importantly, the management team agreed that there was a real problem in the factory because people were afraid to resolve problems out of fear of telling the truth. My success as a union officer came from telling the truth. Years later don Miguel Ruiz, in his book "The Four Agreements", put it in his words, "Be Impeccable with your word: speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.". I highly recommend reading it and doing your best to put it into practice. Doing your best is one of the agreements. It would be interesting to get JBP's take on Mr. Ruiz's approach and analysis of living with integrity.

    Excellent Sir Jordan. There has been progression. I just look at the crowd, a lot of intelligent women, the crowd is evening out, finally. Everyone listening, and learning. The best thing about your Australian visit, is you and all viewing this are learning Australia is more of a community, than a massively populated country. The population numbers, being so few, makes people accountable for their actions. Everyone, it appears, is now listening and learning from people who must be heard regarding the matters of our societies. Perhaps all are now understanding, yes our societies are not perfect, that is why diversity of ideas is so important. People from the left have an important CONSTRUCTIVE roll to play. So some need to regroup and think with common sense, remembering our fathers, grand fathers and great grandfathers gave their lives for our brilliant communities. Forward vision, is a vision to improve what we KNOW already works so well and has improved ALL our lives so dramatically in just 100 years or so! @@1b0o0 Of course he is. It was a jab at Pangburn, thinly veiled perhaps. I do think Anderson has great production though, Peterson et. al. should hire Andersons people instead, and so on.

      I don't think women are changing, but women we hear a lot from, have bad ideas, creating the impression that women in general are changing. It's more a result of the game than anything else. We just have to agree more on the game we're all playing lately. Through the relevant history (last 800 years or so) this was done with laws and government. Takes a lot of time, but I'm not sure the current "go back to witchhunts"-model is better. It is very fast though, let's give it that.

    This is the best public vehicle for JBP. Smallish group, a couple of smart people with him at the front, enough time and no pressure to perform a show for an audience of a few thousand. Well done John Anderson!

      I love JBP and honestly don't get his association with Joe Rogan - just don't see the appeal of JR, like at all. To each their own, I just don't (as a woman, maybe that has something to do with it, like maybe he appeals more to men?)

      Maybe I agree. He has already done 5 solo episodes with JR and one with Bret Weinstein, so 6 JR episodes in total. I dont think so much more can come from the solo interviews with JR. Actually if you listen to them all you notice the exact samr topics come up and JP sometimes almost have said word for word in one interview as he did a previous one. I would like to see a JP and Sam Harris interview where they both now afterwards can look back and reflect on their 4 talks.

    This man is putting his chest out to spread the truth most people are afraid to say. I am following him for several months now and, oo far, I have only heard words of wisdom, facts, nononsene and thoughts that make all the sense in the world. He has articulated my thoughts ( "I couldn't have said it better", applies here.). He might have some mistakes and faults, I guess, like any other human being, but so far . .... I couldn't find it . He is brave enough, educated enough, superintelligent, excellent memory. He did his homework, as he said. He read lots of books from both sides of every theory. Even the books of Books and he has meditated over it vert seriously and intensively!!! (More than me, and I am a Catholic!). How many hours of his life devoted to reading!!! And "digesting" what he read and now he is sharing that with us!!! If we weren't such absurd fools, we would take advantage of this. Well..... Do your homework, too. I am not suggesting you just let him "feed" you. I am saying, I reached the same conclusions on my own, without all the statistics I wouldn't be able to remember. I'm turning 60 this year, and I made my share of "poor decisions", too so I had a lot of time to think about all these things, as well We should be thankful he is changing our youngsters one by one. Is the only hope since when youngsters are in a group... They behave like fanatics. Youngsters: listen to him!!!!
    I pray for doctor Peterson so he continues to use his words very wisely and that he reaches as many youngsters as possible. He has reached me!!!!

    I loved how he discussed the convictions of those who choose good and bad directions and how they both deserve more respect then those who sit on the fence . I believe this is the true definition of the word "evil " The place between good and bad where people settle easily. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”― Edmund Burke To be good ....you need to do good .....not nothing
