    Another great run and video guys! Good luck for next week!👍

      Thank you! I think we’re both dreading Chester, the route just isn’t us! Mile after mile of canal or similar - think it’s going to be as much a mental challenge as a physical one…

    Great video - inspired myself and a friend to do the route today. The heat was tough but amazing views and a good challenge. Looking forward to the next video 👌🏻👌🏻

      Thank you! Such a great route isn’t it?
      I bet the heat made it very tough indeed though. Hope you popped into the shop for your free buff, cake and cuppa!

      It’s a great little route and gives us yet another goto option when in the Peaks. I’m sure you’ll love it 👍 Thanks 😊

    You always discover this cool long distance routes. I've never heard of Hope Valley Round before. And now I know about it thanks to you two.

      Thanks Olga, we didn’t even know about this ourselves until a week prior to doing it. I saw it mentioned by somebody in a reply to one of our comments. What would we do without the internet? 😂

      We had a brilliant time, absolutely loved the whole experience including meeting and chatting to others that did the round yesterday in the cafe. Such a friendly experience. We’ll definitely be back to your shop for a proper browse when we’re less salty! Also great cakes so would be rude not to pop upstairs 😊

    Some nice trails - I need to get out that way and explore a bit.
    Good luck on your Chester 100 next week.

      That area of the Peak District is fantastic for running, highly recommended. Thanks, think Chester will be a tough one for us…

      We only saw a mention of this round last weekend. Glad we did, it’s a great route and well worth doing. Best of luck with it when you get to it 👍

    Well done. I did it last Friday ( I think you did it the day of the Hathersage Hurtle) and I have to agree that the raspberry and coconut crumble at the café was well worth 20 miles.

    • @TrailRunningCouple
      @TrailRunningCouple  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Sarah and well done on your round. Yes, same weekend as the HH. We started the round only to run into the start of the race on the first field after the bridge so stopped the watches and walked back to Outside and started again. That gave the race enough time to thin out so we only encountered a few people.
      Definitely a round to do again though next time we’ll buy the cake - it’s worth it!!

    Loved it and on my list, though not sure I could run it. I've walked the whole route in sections (didn't mean to, I found this later!) and I was amazed by your dry run off Win Hill, especially the nature reserve part. Only a few weeks ago I precariously slip-slided my way down there, not helped by some cattle churning up the path.

      Great route isn’t it? Some lovely sections which flow together very well. It’s the first time off Win Hill that way for us, lovely area 😊

    Great work Mort's, nice taper for the Chester 100. Looks like a very nice route, think me and Karen will definitely get over to do it.
    Fantastic account of the route thanks!😊

      You too, enjoyed the chat after the round. Definitely one to come back to and may even try it anti clockwise though think clockwise would be the better direction 👍

    I'm glad you put up the name of the mast near the start of the run because I thought you'd just said something rude 😂
    My mate ( the one who insists that Yorkshire has tea fields ) had to buy some walking trainers from outside in hathersage,he turned up for a weekend away with odd shoes on ( not. even same colour or height !) he didn't even realise until he went to put on his hiking boots in castleton car park 😂, always an interesting day out with him 🙄

      @TrailRunningCouple  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your friend sounds like a right laugh! Still makes us giggle when you mention Yorkshire tea fields 😂
      Shatton Moor - needs must 😂 Lovely area though, made even better with the weather yesterday…

  • @AndyUltra
    @AndyUltra ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lovely day. No mud woohoo 😁. Glad you didn't show any items in the shop. I'm trying to save the pennies for a project and trying to avoid looking in mountaneering shops as they always give me ideas on what to buy that i dont actually need 😅

    • @TrailRunningCouple
      @TrailRunningCouple  ปีที่แล้ว

      No mud at all, getting pretty dry now though also getting warmer which brings a load of other problems!
      Good route for you to try if you’ve not done it yet. As for Outside, always better leaving your cards in the car, you could spend a small fortune!

    Another great run from you two seems like you had good conditions underfoot. Is it another camera you are using lately or is it my eyes seem really clear videos not that the others were not clear.once again thank you for sharing these with us on here really appreciate it

    • @TrailRunningCouple
      @TrailRunningCouple  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks again Martin. It’s not your eyes, I think it’s the lower light limitations of a GoPro. In bright conditions with blue skies they really shine, same again in bright snowy conditions. They lack a little when the weather is overcast but still do a good job. Still they surprise us with the quality from such a small camera 👍
