- I finally got to install the Vevor Garage Flooring Tiles in one half of my new garage. These cheap alternatives to the big names like Swisstrax and Racedeck give you the same showroom look but on a budget. They are easy to install and I was able to transform a 2 car garage in just over an hour and at a fraction of the cost. How will they hold up? That s the main reason I went with these... I wanted to save some money, but I also wanted to be able to test these day after day so I can provide the real expectations for you if you are looking to upgrade your garage flooring on a budget... great video, looks awesome, i recommend you start at the garage door and have the cuts at the back end of wall..... also at homedepot, in the paint section, you can get the tool that opens the paint can? that tool is perfect to remove the tile for cleaning.

The big disadvantage I see is if people who actually work on their cars instead of park them on here is, if you spill oil or some other slick substance is the ability to clean it up quickly with rags or towels. That’s just me

As for the spider, screws, cleaning under them, ECT. I’ll tell you I’ve had to get a few screws out while working on my car/dirtbikes ECT and it’s so easy to pull up a tile or a few tiles and snap them back or use a magnet it’s not a problem at all!
On the other hand, spiders or bugs, it’s actually really cool. Any bugs or spiders stay under the time and I have yet to see a single insect or anything on top of the tiles. It almost bug proofs your garage and keeps them on the floor instead of on the surface of all your “stuff”. Actually pretty cool!
That sounds great! Atleast for the smaller bugs and stuff. Without the floors installed ive found 2 scorpions in the garage so hopefully they wont like walking on these floors ha!

Great video as always!! On that slanted edge will water dam up or flow out? You would the companies would have some type of that that will support a vehicle and let water and other debris out!! Thanks for showing all this work Josh. I'm thinking about this product for our concrete outdoor patio that is a little over 600 square feet. My worry is that the patio has a bit of slope to it for water drainage and was wondering if these tiles would conform to the slope or if the edges would stick up as the patio slopes.
If you drop something you can probably use the shop vac to pull it up. Or put the shop vac end where it sucks into an oil funnel to get it up.

Hey Josh, would be awesome to see some additional detail like some of the Swisstrax install videos have. Like you, I don’t want to pay out for the name brand if not worth it:
1) how to cut them around the edges and garage door tracks
2) try jacking your car up without something under the jack. Many have lowered cars that that wouldn’t work on (and do the same with your Swisstrax samples to see the difference)
3) we all need a front angle piece to finish the look and make it look clean. Your notes on top of your video said the solution you tried wasn’t good enough. I can’t get these unless I know of a product that would finish the front edge and also drain (I live in Seattle and my garage gets lots of water tracked in).
4) part of my garage is a wood shop. I’m super curious if the sawdust falling through would actually look cleaner and then just be vacuumed up, or if it would be annoying.
5) I have a refrigerator, table saw, big tool cabinets, etc, in my garage. Swisstrax appears to handle those fine. Do these ones?

I have friends with the snap in tiles (different brands) and I haven't done these due to the items you mentioned especially the bugs, can't really use a jack properly, but also the noise. Every time you step them or drive on top of it they make noise. Not sure if yours does but they all did at varying levels.

I've been wanting to tile my garage floor for a long time and I stumbled across the tiles made by Vevor while looking at shelving. In addition to these "drainage" style tiles, they have solid tiles, which are a bit more expensive. Did you (or any commenter) look at the solid ones as well? Any info would help me decide between the two styles.
They look great! I just ordered them for my garage today. Any luck on finding a nice clean edge that works for the entrance of the garage? I’m trying to finish it off nicely.

hi and great work always fun to watch you, I'm from Quebec Canada, question for you, I have a lot of clients and every year I have to paint my garage floor because with chemicals the paint doesn't last, what do you think you of his tiles to hole, do you think that the tiles full of vevor would be better for someone who washes a lot of cars in his garage? sorry for my English translator obliges
If you had to pick one that's best for dropping nuts bolts that aren't the flat coin style, what would it be?
If you do any carpentry or even dust, means those mesh floors are a never. Secret low maintenance: a roomba to sweep a flat roll out flooring while I sleep. It also goes under the cabinets. Works great have not done a manual vac in over a year. Flat rollout is the way!

Really most people don’t have shavings, dust or sand, spills or little parts? Seems these would need to be taken up and cleaned under a couple of times per month at least. While they are down can’t sweep either and even a vac won’t clean from above it. So HIGH COST of maintenance needs to be added to the product cost for your viewers.
How is the Vevor for rolling a detail chair on? Is it way too bumpy and hard to move on or just a minor annoyance for this purpose?
I live in a different climate (MN) how are these tiles when your show are wet? I am trying to find a solution that allows the snow and ice to melt (heated garage) but also isn’t as slippery as wet smooth concrete.
If you get any kind of leak at all, it's going to be a nightmare removing these things just to clean it up, especially oil.
How do you cut it for odd corners ect.
Have we found a better edging for it yet? or how is it holding up

I guess I don't understand plastic floor tiles with holes in them. In my climate, we get salt, sand, cinders and of course chemicals that get spilled. How would you clean them? Yes you can vacuum, but how do clean off chemicals?
How about rolling things besides cars-carts, chairs, etc-no problem?
Let us know if you're doing epoxy floor. Maybe DIY? if so it would be really neat to find out the process through your understanding!
Question for anyone, really. I have no experience with these but have been looking for a bit casually. In regards to using a jack, can you cut the outside edge off of a section of tiles, say like a 3 foot by 2 foot area & lift out that section to place a jack when needed? After you're done, just drop the 3x2 section of tiles that are all still connected back in the hole. I would think they'd stay well unless you were turning the wheels while stationary. You could have one on each side or two on each side to lift from any corner. This wouldn't be ideal for someone who does a lot of that type of work but for the occasional every few months kind of garage, I've wondered if it would work well??
Yea I think that would work! Alternatively you could just lay down a flat piece wood or something that would distribute the pressure… I think that would work as well
@imjoshv thanks! I know some cars are tough to get even a low profile jack under. If removed, this would drop the curb height a half inch too!

what happens if you have your car sitting on top of these tiles and turn the front wheels?
It will most likely buckle up. I wont hurt the tiles but you will have to put them back down. All of this style flooring does that

From what I've read you can install rubber underlayment under floor and it will prevent this. Will be putting in a floor soon in a 3 car garage and will be using rubber under tiles.

Yes a little, definitely more than just concrete.

Did you consider Vevor solid non drainage Tiles ?
I personally didn’t but those would be a good option as well
Check out Tuff Seal. Industrial quality and completely sealed from water.
Ive considered these for my garage but just for looks, it's too expensive and there's not enough room to wash the car in the garage because it's a split 2 car garage with 2 doors and house support beams going down the center and just barely enough room on both sides for our cars and not much else.
I think that for whatever home we have next, it's going to be a bigger garage and I will just bite the bullet and get epoxy put in.

PRO: It definitely looks better than bare concrete, I'll agree with you on that. And, all dirt, etc. is automatically "swept under the rug."

Just use a good perimeter bug spray around inside of garage and outside and you should be fine.
