    Great job on your daughters hair. This takes me back to my mom doing our hair coming up, and then me taking care of my daughters hair when she was a kid. My mom took such good care of our hair. Contrary to what some of our people are saying that we shouldn’t use combs and or brushes, we used both coming up. The 1st phase of detangling is with the comb; 2nd phase is with the brush. Along with completing the detangling, the brush will help to distribute our natural oils on the scalp plus any products that we put on the scalp and hair. The best oil is the oil that comes through the pores and curly hair will not allow those oils to travel down the strands because of the loops and bends. Even people with natural straight hair was taught to brush. That’s where the natural shine comes from. Peace and blessings! 🙏🏾❤️

    She’s so adorable. This video brought back memories for me. You’re so patient with doing her hair. ❤ I had hair this thick and almost to my mid thigh when I was a child and no one wanted to do it. 😢
    I was and still am so tender headed that it felt like my brain was being pulled through my hair follicles when anyone would just comb it. It’s just to the middle of my back now and I still dread getting it done because it’s still super thick.
    It tangles so much it’s ridiculous. Especially when it’s wet. I considered that RevAir dryer but the cost makes me reconsider. It looks like it does a good job at drying the hair though so, I may have to just break down and get it because conventional dryers take forever to dry my hair and my arms get tired.

      I understand girl. All of my kids hair is thick. I had to learn how to be gentle. And that is also me loving to do hair in general so its not an overwhelming task for me. Although it can get overwhelming at times. Lol..love seeing children looking pretty /handsome so being overwhelmed is worth it! 😉
      💙 Revair has payment installments that are interest FREE. You can pay it in 4 payments. Biweekly or monthly I believe. Price is a bit steep but girl, its worth it! I use it on my kid clients and its so much easy for them and myself. Tear free might i add! I have the old revair but will be purchasing the new one. The new one is smaller , less noisier, and more suitable for my salon space. Black friday sale is still going on. Link down below 👇🏽 whenever you're interested. Thats my personal link

Tell her to enjoy it. Its beautiful. My daughter is grown and I still do her hair because it's to much for her🤣😆. So thank god for TH-cam I have learned the braiding to keep her pretty. Your daughters hair is beautiful and your devotion to caring for it is commendable!
    I grew my son’s hair out like that and his hair is very coarse, dense and thick…the only thing I noticed is the way you separate and derange the ends of her hair may tighten the tangles at the roots more because you are finger detangling from the ends up her hair but you never really concentrated on pulling all of the tangled down from the roots once you detangle her ends…I would also work with even smaller sections because her hair is so dense! Overall…her hair is beautiful and you are doing an amazing job!

      @Maryanns_space. I too suffer from the mating and tangling really bad. I have plugs throughout hair where I cut out the knots because I dont know how to free the hair. Any help on how to properly detangle knots is greatly appreciated. Whatever I am doing seems to tighten the knot.

    • @HouseofOrganicBeauty
      @HouseofOrganicBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว

      Making sure to do protective styling(tucking ends) will help with lots of knots. I usually do the 'harp method'. Where you hold the knot and gradually pull a few strands at a time from that knot until the knot is loose. Sometimes you would have to cut that small knot afterwards. The 'harp method' is a name i came up with. Ill try and look for one of my videos showing you on how i do it then link it in this chat

    You mentioned that matting is occurring. While I am researching this item the company sponsored video on type 4 hair specified small sections, had it on level 7, and had it up to the scalp for 90 seconds minimum. Trying the recommendations in that vid may help with the matting at the roots concern. The dryer seems to work well, I may get my sis one for her birthday

      @faithwilliams7978 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@rosejames5172 Have you ever cared for your own hair in a similar fashion? While I do think genetics play a factor, I think hair care practices are even more important. My hair is mid-back length now, and even though I have had the same genes my entire life, I never saw anything longer than between chin length and shoulder length until I got my hair care practices in place. This is because it really doesn't matter how much hair you grow if it is breaking off as fast as you grow it. A person could have genes that allow for butt length hair and not know it if they never get the breakage under control.

    • @rosejames5172
      @rosejames5172 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@faithwilliams7978 My hair is almost mid back length and i have never done any of these hair care things, because its genes. I comb and wash it normally. I think black women should stop being obsessed with long hair. Long hair only takes more time and cost you more. You have to use half bottle of moisturiser and half bottle if shampoo while short hair uses less. Make sure your hair is clean and mosturized and stop worrying about it, no matter what length it is.
