Her hair is so long, healthy and pretty. She is so blessed to have a mommy that knows how to take care of her hair and takes the time to do it! Great job! My mom did the same for me and taught me how to care for it and I have done so all of my life. Really only go to the salon for major haircuts.

I think thats very true. So many things I've tried on my hair and I'm still searching. Growing up grease water and sometimes pink moisturizer was the hair care staples. I need to go back honestly. *as I eye the products I just bought 🤣*
The old tried and true doesn't work for everyone because our hair and scalps change over time. I've tried to go back to 'greasing' my scalp and all I've gotten is flakes. That's after trying different products and giving them at least a couple of months.

I remember doing this with my baby… she’s 10 now. I had no choice but to because the environment is so dry here in California. I grew up in the southern states and was used to the humidity. So when I realized the difference, I pulled out the Doo grow grease and always sealed her with grease to lock in the moisture. I also used a steamer with her conditioner step. Again, just tweaks for a drier climate. Her hair grew so long doing these things. Your baby’s hair is so beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍

I am 71 and grew up using plain Vaseline on my hair. Today I still use it after a shower on my body, especially on my face every morning and at night, and in my hair along with leave in conditioner and my homemade rosemary water mist.

Amazing! It protects from heat styling, pollution, etc. We began using it since day one. It revolutionized modern styling. We even used the grease left over from food during slavery.
Wonderful mother and smart! My daughter hair grew super long like down way past her waist, so long that people couldn't believe she was only under ten years old with hair that long. and I sealed with sulfur 8 grease and I used rose oil, tea tree oil and olive oil. Twice a week I use moisturizing type curl cream or castor oil moisturizer and I gave her acv and water conditioning treatments once a month and as a scalp detoxer. I used only olive oil conditioner and shampoo or sulfur 8 shampoo once ever other month. My hair is growing super fast, I seal with Shea butter moisturizer or sulfur 8 grease only or design essential moisturizer. I get by weekly scalp treatment with peppermint in it. I use tea tree oil, pepper mint and rose oil every other day on my scalp. I keep my hair platter or braided. I have no breakage at all and I sleep on satin pillow cases only. My hair is super gorgeous with bright silver strands. I get a little trim every 5 months, I don't keep any dead ends and have very few when my stylist checks. I plan to do a tutorial on how I grow my hair and my daughter hair. Licking the hair with tea tree and rose oil several times a week, makes the hair thrive.

Their conditioner is pretty good too and a decent amount of slip (you can add extra oil and a little bit of guar gum for more).

Even through high school I grew long healthy hair with the usage of Nature Blessings grease. Now I use grease to seal the ends of my natural hair style. I once had give beautician tell me stop using grease because it wasn't healthy for the scalp. 🙄 So I stopped using grease and started to get knots, breakage and splits at the end of my hair. I went to what my mother taught me and nurse my hair back to health.😉 Grease is special hair care "secret" only for Black people.☺️

I wish my mom had taught me how to take care of my texture hair. I account for it to the fact that I have very tight coils/circles; she had very loose coils. However! It could be a form of societal prejudice: the "bad hair" vs "good hair" dichotomy.

I think mixed textures can sometimes actually be a different kind of challenge because of how the looser strands get tangled up in the tight coils.

Moisturize it, then put it in twist. Grease the twist to seal the moisture in. That's what I do when I wear my hair under my stalking caps under my wigs.
You should shampoo your hair, condition it, then do an apple cider vinager rinse, then use a leave in conditioner of choice, then seal it all in with blue magic hair grease, braid and style hair. The vinager rinse will equal out the porisity and bring the hair into balance. Your hair is not to dry for grease, grease is what your hair need to lock in the moisture. Your hair will remain moisturized for longer.

The same method is used for extra dry skin like eczema. Moisturizer, then oil to seal in the moisture.

I use Africa's Best Maximum Strength Super Gro on my scalp. I apply it to my scalp every 2 or 3 days. It smells amazing and my hair is growing!🥰

Moisturize it, then put it in twist. Grease the twist to seal the moisture in. That's what I do when I wear my hair under my stalking caps under my wigs.
You should shampoo your hair, condition it, then do an apple cider vinager rinse, then use a leave in conditioner of choice, then seal it all in with blue magic hair grease, braid and style hair. The vinager rinse will equal out the porisity and bring the hair into balance. Your hair is not to dry for grease, grease is what your hair need to lock in the moisture. Your hair will remain moisturized for longer.

You're welcome! Coconut oil is a great pre shampoo treatment. I do this too overnight using coconut oil or avocado oil then shampoo in the morning.
can you use a liquid leave-in conditioner then appy the grease, or should it be a cream leave-in?
Leave in or cream followed by grease works fine, it all depends on what your little one's hair prefers 👑
