    I really need this for me and my daughter. Your daughter hair is just beautiful without a flatiron. Tamika, do you know of any hair products that does not have any kind of nuts in them that will work on straight hair? my daughter wants to wear her hair straight this year since this is her last year in school but allergic to all nuts. I know you know lots of products that's why I'm asking you.

    I love this thing. My only complaint is, my hair is over 2 foot long and it gets tangled at the end. Other than that I love it. I hate drying my hair as I have too much. Arms hurt. Sweating from the heat. This thing is GREAT!

    • @SimplyTamika
      @SimplyTamika  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes. I love it too. I’m getting ready to shampoo and RevAir my hair in a bit. Long hair does get tangled but here are a couple of tips. Be sure your hair is fully detangled before inserting it into the wand and if that doesn’t work turn up the speed to increase the airflow. I find that sometimes, depending on your hair, it may get tangled on lower speeds. Be sure to comb chase your hair from the wand as well.

      It also helps to not put in your hair all at once. Maybe put 6 inches in at a time and wait until that part is dry before inching up.

    Is there a timer or do you count to 90 seconds before removing the hair from the Revair?

    • @cfoster6804
      @cfoster6804 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to keep time yourself. I use my phone but that is a great suggestion for Revair to include a timer on it!

    I'm terrified of heat. But am really sad that I have to blow dry my hair to get a few natural hairstyles. Do you use a heat protectant?

      Yes, always use a heat protectant. It's much less intense heat than traditional blow dryers but still heat.

    How much difference is there between the new Revair and old Revair reverse hairdryer? I can only get my hands on the original one through EBay sellers in the U.K. and they have issues with these hairdryers working in the U.K. 😭

    Tamika, you did a beautiful job with the new RevAir. I really would like to purchase, however my issue was with dryness. I used a spray on heat protectant. What do you recommend for heat protection? How do you keep it straight in the dead of Summer? Thank you for sharing!

    • @SimplyTamika
      @SimplyTamika  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The spray heat protectant is fine. I do prefer to use silicone based ones. Try using a light and creamy leave in on your hair prior to putting on the heat protectant. That should soften the hair a great deal and provide an extra layer of protection. To keep hair as straight as possible in the hotter months, you have make sure tie your hair up nightly. Try bunning your hair or even wrapping g your hair to keep it straight.

      @@SimplyTamika Thanks! Do you have recommendations for a silicone based heat protectant?

      @@mjgarner123 Sabino Moisture Block is an excellent one. I've been using it for over a decade. Don't let the name fool you though. It does block out excess moisture for humidity control but locks in essential moisture for hair health. I like it because it's just 2 pure high quality cosmetic grade silicones. No fillers to dry the hair out. No I'm not affiliated with the company I just love this stuff and I use to email back and forward with the owner/creator of the product, Victor Sabino, so I learned a lot about it and best usage.
      Tamika knows about this product because it was all the rage for awhile on Long Haircare Forum when we were both members there.🙂

    How do you lock in a blow out? My nieces hair goes back to curls w/in two hours.

    • @SimplyTamika
      @SimplyTamika  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm. That’s not very long. A blowout should last at least a couple of weeks unless humidity hits it. Try using a thicker heat protectant and take smaller sections. Be sure the hair is completely dry. It takes about 90 seconds per section and if her hair is thicker it may take just a little longer. Let me know if this helped. Best, Tamika
