  • A lot of students have commented requesting a lesson about the future continuous tense... So here it is! 😀
You probably know that the present continuous tense looks like this:
    I AM working
    I AM leaving
To form the future continuous, we simply change I AM → I WILL BE, so it looks like this:
    I WILL BE working
    I WILL BE leaving
    It couldn't be simpler!
The tricky part, as always, is knowing when to use this tense, so in today's lesson I'm going to teach you the 5 different ways we use the future continuous.
As always, leave me a comment on the video to tell me one sentence using this tense. It's always a good idea to practice what you learn as soon as you've watched the lesson! 👍

    1. When we’re describing a situation when a specific moment the future:
    - I’ll be watching the game at 9pm
    - This time next week I will be travelling to Mexico
    2. Predicting or guessing about future events.
    - You’ll be feeling tired after that holiday.
    - I will be sleeping when you arrive.
    3. In the interrogative form, the future continuous can be used to ask politely for information about the future:
    - How many nights will you be staying?
    - Will your boyfriend be coming to the wedding?
    4. To talk about continuous events that we expect to happen in the future:
    - I’ll be seeing Pete tomorrow so I’ll ask him then.
    - Next year I’ll be working for a different company
    5. When used with "still", to talk about events that are already happening now and that we expect to continue for a long time into the future:
    - He’ll still be living with his parents when he’s 50
    - You’ll still be eating that bowl of spaghetti at bedtime

Could you get a little deeper into the idea of using will future progressive as a means of politeness? Like in "will you be needing anything else?" versus "will you need anything else?".
There is no such grammar structure in German. We simply add a "please" to the sentence instead of using a will future continuous. Hence, it's a little tricky for us Germans to know when and how to use the will future progressive in order to be polite. So... Is the expression "Will you hand me the glass, please" really LESS polite than "Will you be handing me the glass?"....
    strange.....

I think the difference between these two is being formal and informal. Be going to and present continuous are used in formal sentences and will is used in informal sentences . And I think will is 60% sure and be going to is 95% sure , that is just my opinion.
