I love seeing Holland in more videos but this was really awkward and I felt bad for him :( This would have been a lot more entertaining if they just treated him like a friend doing exercises together.
This is just my opinion, don't get me wrong, but: Yumi is like that one friend that you'd have a blast with at home or out and about. Jei is like that mother figure friend that'll keep everyone out of trouble. Holland is the type of friend to be done with everyone's chaotic asses and just want to go home. To sum it up, Yumi and Holland are me whenever I am with my friends.

Okay, so recently, the videos Giggle has been putting out have been AMAZING. Bringing more awareness to LGBTQ+ media, talking about it, watching it, giving honest thoughts on topics like girls love and boys love, Holland’s first appearance and the discussion around idols, dating, sexuality. But this, this one is straight uncomfortable to watch because Holland is just being treated as “different”. In order to include him in this exercise, they’re essentially trying to “normalize” him (putting him in hetero situation bc Jei and Yumi are both straight) so of course he feels like he’s not being accepted as who he is. They either could’ve just done like bonding exercises to increase friendship or just did like an in depth discussion on how LGBTQ+ is viewed in Korea! That was the whole point of having Holland expose himself to a bigger audience!!! I don’t know, although the three of them tried their best to laugh it off and stay good humoured, this was painful to watch and I’m sad that Holland outright said he wouldn’t come back to Giggle after this (sounded like he was joking but I’m sure he felt slighted too). This was a rocky start, but I hope going forward there is better content that is enjoyable for all of the participants ❤
I'm sorry you feel that way, but as someone in the LGBTQ+ community I'm not worried that straight people and Gay people hang out or hold hands...Just because a Gay person hugs their Gay friends or even plays Twister with each other and gets close to eachother...DOES NOT mean anyone in the room is saying you are forced to love them or be straight... I have many straight AND Lgbtq+ people I know and chill with and they are ALL cool people... The problem is when we seperate gays and straights as if only Lgbtq+ are allowed to hang out together and only straights are allowed to hang out...If someone is my friend and a cool person, I'll hang out with them AND even play party games and if a Gay or straight person hugs or gets close...it's not forbidden!... Shocker, if I have a party or go to a party and a cool song comes on, I might even dance with my straight friend and have fun just dancing... The problem is we see this all as separation of people and thinking if two people hug or play twister or yoga you must be in love...because sexuality!... AND I'm sure that no matter what sex we are attracted to we are not attracted to EVERYONE of that sex...weather we are Gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual and so on... We also have friends because we are not attracted to them and it's not a big deal! 😎
