    I had exactly the same. When I started running, I was improving rapidly, then after two years I became very very slow. It's called exercise enduced anemia, especially common in women who run. I am on iron all the time now. The red blood cells carry Oxygen without the iron Oxygen is not delivered to the cells quickly. All the best in your running.
