'taking care of yourself' isn't always waking up at 4 am to workout, eating a salad for lunch and being pressured into having a flawless lifestyle.. sometimes it's sleeping a little more and watching your favorite tv series while eating chocolate chip cookies, and that's honestly perfectly fine
@@krullewietje Wasting time watching TV, eating unhealthy food, not exercising and calling it self-care - sounds more like excuses for self-abandonment, escapism and recklessness to your onw life quality and wellbeing. There is so much tasty, healthy, vegan food, you'll feel and be better doing actual, healthy self-care and getting stuff done and relax in mindful, healthy ways, like walking, sports, meditation.
@@user-xj4yv3qo3v im sorry but you're unknowingly proving how unnuanced the whole 'that girl' trend is..... Watching tv or doing anything merely for your own enjoyment = wasting time, eating a chocolate chip cookie = making an unhealthy food decision, sleeping a little more = time you could have spent on exercise or 'being productive'. How is any of this a healthy mindset? to me this way of thinking would fit more with extreme perfectionism and i doubt it could ever truly contribute to long term happiness. An actual healthy lifestyle to me is about balance and being able to enjoy certain things without guilt. This ain't it
so basically being "that girl" is just being the best version of yourself, the happiest and healthiest version u can be? i think ill start being healthier once college starts, I'm just going to enjoy lazy girl summer and going to sleep at 6 am waking up at 3pm for now 😌
I agree so hard with that! There's so much pressure to be your best self all the time but sometimes you just need to exist and enjoy the ride without all that pressure and guilt for not being 'that girl'
@@이지민-j5w that girl is just a phrase for girls who have a “healthy” life routine like eating fresh foods, going to sleep & waking up early, exercising/doing yoga/ mediating. It’s not an actual person !!
The "that girl" trend reminds me a lot of Aristotle's goal towards eudaimonia. A eudaimonistic lifestyle is one where you are constantly trying to improve yourself and learn new things. The only difference is portrayal. Eudaimonia is change within oneself, "that girl" is change for display. Of course, people interpret "that girl" differently, but since it is based in socials it is deeply intertwined with crafting aesthetic moments. Personally, I think that someone trying to be a "that girl" will be more dedicated at first (in comparison to a eudaimonistic strive) because they can clearly see life changes just in their camera roll. Though eventually, I would guess that eudaimonia wins out since, after all, "that girl" is a trend and trends fade.
I love how to added in how to make it plant-based, like you didn’t have to do that & yet you were being thoughtful. So sweet and helpful for plant based viewers !
The "That Girl" trend encompasses yourself, and the people in your life. I just cut a toxic friend out of my life, who was constantly trying to mold me into a version of me that he approved of. I've been scared to do this for a year because I didn't have the confidence to stand up for myself. Now he's out, I feel relieved and like I've just taken a massive step towards improving my well being! Make sure your life is full of people who support you in being "That Girl" too ☺️
for me it started out as an aesthetic but now i’m trying my hardest to become a version of myself i love, everyday gets better and better and i’m trying to discipline myself
As a teenage girl who is really invested into achieving this I feel like it's easy to look and and say "Oh yeah, i can do this for years" and then in the reality I only got through 3 days because of certain factors. I am a fit girl but I want to change my routine to better healthy habits. Anyone can do this. I spend most of my time looking at this videos. Not just motivation but knowing I can achieve this as a everyone schedule. Remember, it is not easy but it's possible to achieve for anyone just take steps :)
Unpopular opinion: “that girl” seems different to everyone and it could be a little bit toxic to people who are perfectionist or people who are always comparing themselves to others, remember that your best version is not the one that everyone shows on social media, your best version is the one when you can be at peace and balance in every part of your life, send you lots of love
I am living this so called "that girl" lifestyle and it has improved my mental and physical health, my confidence and my overall life but I understand that it doesn't work for everyone specially if you have to force it, it should be natural and it shouldn't be seen as the ideal, everyone has a different routine, different jobs, financial and housings situations and overall different lifestyles so please don't compare and just enjoy your life as you please and let these types of videos just inspire you :)
if you see the THAT girl trend and actually works towards your better self, then it’s very beneficial. if you just consume the content and stay in inaction, that’s when useless comparison kicks in and it becomes detrimental. the trend in itself is not good or bad; it’s about your reaction to it
I’m going to try to give “being that girl” a different perspective, many may say it’s toxic, but this trend started as a way for people to romanticize the healthy life style because it was seen as boring and associated negatively so people decided to shed light on the possible beauty and simplicity of it to make that life style approachable. Unfortunately it became a trend to the point where the concept itself became overwhelming and negative. But just try to remember where it originally came from, if you’re ever thinking badly about it and putting yourself down about not being able to have it this trend itself is not a lifestyle! Keep doing you.
I was already loving the video, but you won me over completely with the "afternoon-evening That Girl" at the end!! Because everyone IS different, and you can still have an enriching and productive day even if your schedule tends to happen later on, and that's something I've never seen anyone else mention before! Great video! 💕💕
I was “that girl” early last year and depression hit me so hard (again) and I added a ton of weight and wasn’t taking care of myself spiritually nor physically. I’m trying to be that girl again now :)!
2 months. Consistent gym training, got a pt, doing good at work, finished uni year well, go sleep before midnight, clean room (5 months of a clean room now), no dating apps or pursuing anything im not ready for, skincare on point, growing out nails, hair and nail appointment booked, holidays booked and planned and ready as well as often going to cafés myself to relax with an americano and my drawing tablet and walk the 10k steps. Best time of my life, I want all my life to stay this way. I'm so proud and happy. Just started journaling again and everything is falling into place. Being 'THAT' girl is just finally focusing on pleasing myself and not everyone else. I need me time and that's more than okay. Loved the video might try waking p at 6am this summer? that'd be a real challenge for me
I was in these moments for months workin out....reading....wakin up early....having breakfast.....going to work early and so on and my daily life was boosting up....but now i became lazy and i feel my body also changing but i will start being "that girl" thank you sis🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Im a 16 year old girl, from today I am going to try my best to be 'that girl' for MYSELF and not for praise from others. No more sleeping at 1am and waking up at 6:30, no more irregular showering schedule, no more lack of exercise etc. I am going to start respecting my body for once!
It's totally normal and natural to go through periods in your life that inhibit you from living your optimal life, however, you shouldn't feel less than enough during these stages! Don't defer your happiness into the future just because you can't adhere to this or any other schedule, you can still be just as happy right now
to me, being "that girl" is all about just doing whatever you can to make your mindset better. Take me for example, lately, I have not been the way I want to be. I have been not too happy and bubbly and that's because of my mental state. I have plans to begin being "that girl" on Thursday, (because I am moving soon and tomorrow is too hectic) but I have always wanted to try this. I just need someone to encourage me to do so.
I read a quote that motivated me to workout more. it was, "in 2 weeks you will feel it, in 4 weeks you will see it, and in 8 weeks you will hear it." Totally got me motivated, and I hope it motivated you! you got this, and I believe in you!
I believe being « that girl » is an idealization and a stereotype of that perfect girl who wakes up at 5 am, meditate, journaling.. and some people just don’t relate to it or don’t want to be her. What if instead we were just being ourselves ? Our own girl? With the routines, goals and mindset that relates to us without feeling any pressure to be perfect or any type of way. Remember that it’s ok to take breaks and nobody is perfect. Take care of yourself. ❤️
I've been doing my own "that girl" routine for about 3 months now and I just adore it! Watching you do yours really inspired me, and it's helped mee find my best self. I wish you luck on your journey!
I'm a boy fighting multiple disabilities. But I'm very inspired by things like these. I want to learn to take care of myself that well, with the aid of my smarthome (apartment). I want to finish my studying and try to open my own business.
i have been 'that girl' for almost all of my childhood til highschool, but when i got into college with covid going on, i felt really messed up from being down and anxious almost all of the time. I tried getting my shit together last week, and when I knew about 'that girl' yesterday, and how it received some negative comments, i felt attacked and made me felt like an imposter for being this someone that I was conditioned to be. This video made me realized again that it's okay to be 'that girl'. tbh, i felt a lot healthier back then and i wanted to do it again for myself. thank you for this video, this made me reassure myself that it's fine being 'that girl'.
I like “that girl” bc it’s adaptable to the individual. Waking up early doesn’t have to be a goal you need, but optimizing your sleep schedule benefits your overall health. Hydrating and eating foods that make you feel good and that you enjoy are very important too! Working out can actually give you a cognitive boost and help you get started on whatever work you do but it’s important not to set unrealistic goals. I have a Pinterest board on very low impact mobility workouts that suit my own needs. Reading and journaling are brain workouts and help you work things out for yourself, and you can read anything you want. But the most important thing is setting goals you can easily achieve and growing them gradually so you can maintain the momentum for yourself.
I loved this video so much ... I saw this and got motivated, worked out after a long time, ate healthy and on time... Even went for a little essentials shopping, did self care... Tysm... I loved your vibe it's the first video I saw of your channel and now I'm binge watching all
i love being "that girl" i was it for like 2 months but just got reslly unmotivated so now i am trying to get back into that and i absolutely love it it just is amazing and its a better version of you!!
I love the that girl trend. I lot a lot from other people! I hate journalling and yoga and I skip that stuff but I got introduced to an awesome meditation night routine thanks to a that girl! ❤️
Now you’ve said this, I realise how “white single 20-something girl” this routine is 😆 If it’s not rude to ask, what about being an Indian would especially make this routine harder? 🙂
you seeing the positive in the "that girl routine" made me subscribe. too many people, in my personal opinion, are so sensitive and lazy that they think having a productive daily routine and eating healthier portions of good, non processed foods is toxic. don't be mad at the people who are healthy and don't be mad at yourself for not being like the "perfect picture" you see of someone, we all have bad days, so focusing on the good is what gets you through it.
Girl you are AMAZING! I always wanna be the best version of myself, but it is indeed rlly hard to follow the rigorous routine daily. Now u motivated me a lot, and I will defo try it. I hope all girls can be what they wanna be!!!!💗💗
Aah I love this! In my case being that girl means: waking up at 6 am, eating healthy, studying, reading, practising the piano for at least 2h a day, meditating and spending as much time as possible in nature🌿
i love how you not make it one thing only. THAT GIRL can be honestly anything that make you feel good, thats importnant too underline that, i think you id it amazingly. it was such a great video
I beat my deppression after 3 years and I've realised that I'm just wasting my lifetime so I decided to change my lifestyle and become successful of course not everyday can be perfect but I'm trying as hard as I can to make them perfect.
"That girl concept is really good for those who practically want to see positive growth in their lives..not just in dream"...when i take care of myself...pamper myself...help needy , make my day absolutely productive i really feel so so satisfied and occupied...i just love that feeling ...its like spending a successful day💚💙
I’m my own “that girl” I do whatever I want, and wake up when I want to. My room aren’t always clean, and I don’t do my skincare everyday, and that’s the good way for me to live🙃🦋
This video is amazing! I love your energy and vibe. The fact that you compiled everything in one video instead of spreading it out is very helpful! The "that girl" is something I've always wanted to and you made it easier for me thank you again!
Trust me, what I learned about "being that girl" is to be yourself and love yourself. Nourishing your inner self, embrace it, don't pay attention to what others say: gotta be prettier, gotta be skinnier... what make any girl attractive is to be confident. Know yourself, know what you want.
I love this! As of right now I can’t even have a consistent schedule due to my little brothers crazy sleep schedule, they stay up all night then wake me up early in the morning.😑 I’m also moving to the country which is when I’m planning to start my “That girl schedule”
I am entering my "that girl era" i just left my job, ive started going to therapy (i have a lot of savings rn) and im just trying to do little things to help me eat a little better and try and get a little exercise in each day :3 for me, i am much more motivated to do a little exercise if i have a cute workout outfit because then i feel good about how i look while getting exercise
I’m not trying to be THAT girl. I’m trying to be the best version of myself and focus on myself. It’s taken a long journey but honestly this trend helped me start working towards the best and potential in my life
Same that’s why I always do my exercises first, and then I wear something comfortable and pretty to feel good about my self and to have a productive day also.
For me being that girl is Taking care of yourself, Being more positive, Welcoming happiness into your life, Taking time for yourself and doing what makes you happy
I’m glad I clicked on this video. It inspired me to become a better version of myself…starting from tomorrow! I subscribed and really am hoping to see your channel grow 🙂

@@lucymalpas1221 what's that girl? Am I the only person who don't know?
@@이지민-j5w it honestly doesnt even matter or really exist-being healthy isnt a personality anyway, the only girl u need to be is u
@@이지민-j5w that girl is just a phrase for girls who have a “healthy” life routine like eating fresh foods, going to sleep & waking up early, exercising/doing yoga/ mediating. It’s not an actual person !!
Nah, u won’t
Though eventually, I would guess that eudaimonia wins out since, after all, "that girl" is a trend and trends fade.

this was a joy to read! 💕
@@annajamal781 Truly!
Thanks for posting this. It was a good read, and there aren't as many of those in youtube comments as one would hope.
Agree 100%!!! Let’s also remember to help others! That will help us to become the best version of ourselves too🥰🥰
I love how to added in how to make it plant-based, like you didn’t have to do that & yet you were being thoughtful. So sweet and helpful for plant based viewers !
Of course!! I always get questions on plant based meals/recipes that now I always try to give the alternative if my recipe isn't plant based!
Honestly, that's my least favorite trend.
"That" girl looks like a soulless machine that only cares about superficial things.
"Being in PEACE and BALANCE in EVERY part of your life" well said👏👏👏
👏🏽
HER SMILE IS SO ATTRACTIVE 🌙
I am living this so called "that girl" lifestyle and it has improved my mental and physical health, my confidence and my overall life but I understand that it doesn't work for everyone specially if you have to force it, it should be natural and it shouldn't be seen as the ideal, everyone has a different routine, different jobs, financial and housings situations and overall different lifestyles so please don't compare and just enjoy your life as you please and let these types of videos just inspire you :)
if you see the THAT girl trend and actually works towards your better self, then it’s very beneficial. if you just consume the content and stay in inaction, that’s when useless comparison kicks in and it becomes detrimental. the trend in itself is not good or bad; it’s about your reaction to it
Yess love that hot take

Good luck cutie 🤍
I learned that I literally am THAT girl and I didn't even know it 💁🏻♀️✨
Tell us your secret🥴😂

Loved the video might try waking p at 6am this summer? that'd be a real challenge for me
girl you are a ray of sunshine you project so much positivity energy the world needs more people like you
Aw wow thank you!

@@barbzcult Wowww I'm so proud of youu
I love how positive this is and that being “that” girl has mostly to do with your mindset
“That girl” is based on perspective. But being that girl does help us in the long run as long as it’s healthy for you mentally and physically
Go for it bestie and update us
You can do it !!
I'm a 27 year old guy and I have no idea why I'm watching this
😂😂😂😂
To become "that boy"
you don't need to be a girl to be the best version of yourself 😀
being “that girl” is literally one of the best mindsets i could’ve asked for✨🍃.
I read a quote that motivated me to workout more. it was, "in 2 weeks you will feel it, in 4 weeks you will see it, and in 8 weeks you will hear it." Totally got me motivated, and I hope it motivated you! you got this, and I believe in you!
ok but this is like the first time i've seen her in my life and i absoloutly love her
as soon as the video started i just knew it was going to be good, your personality is so bubbly and this really inspired me!

Just a reminder that its okay to not always be "that girl", you deserve the break as well from time to time :)
I'm a boy fighting multiple disabilities. But I'm very inspired by things like these. I want to learn to take care of myself that well, with the aid of my smarthome (apartment). I want to finish my studying and try to open my own business.
Definitely up for 'afternoon - evening' "that girl" routine 🖤🖤love your videos✨
Thank you girl!! 🥰
Saaaame. My “that girl” ain’t doin shit at 6am but sleeping 😂 If the sun isn’t up, neither am I!!
Vanessa, you're that humble and nice friend everyone deserves, you have those positive vibes. I'm glad i found you. Love.
i have been 'that girl' for almost all of my childhood til highschool, but when i got into college with covid going on, i felt really messed up from being down and anxious almost all of the time.
Tysm... I loved your vibe it's the first video I saw of your channel and now I'm binge watching all
Aw wow thank you so much!! And so proud of you, keep it up ❤️
Tbh for me being "that girl" is knowing I can do anything and not caring what others think.
I literally screamed out loud when you showed the book on camera. I love the ACOTAR series!
i love being "that girl" i was it for like 2 months but just got reslly unmotivated so now i am trying to get back into that and i absolutely love it it just is amazing and its a better version of you!!
Being 'That Girl' is such a positive trend!
I love the that girl trend. I lot a lot from other people! I hate journalling and yoga and I skip that stuff but I got introduced to an awesome meditation night routine thanks to a that girl! ❤️
this routine is so hard to follow when you live with your whole family and on the top of that you're an Indian 😭
I can feel you girl, living with a joint family you have whole different lifestyle.
I am only child but my parents always wake up at 7:30 so they switch off the alarm and I always wake up at 9 😂😂
I can also relate as an african woman/girl who also lives with her entire family !!😪
Now you’ve said this, I realise how “white single 20-something girl” this routine is 😆 If it’s not rude to ask, what about being an Indian would especially make this routine harder? 🙂
@@lizziewalker7844 joint family?
you seeing the positive in the "that girl routine" made me subscribe. too many people, in my personal opinion, are so sensitive and lazy that they think having a productive daily routine and eating healthier portions of good, non processed foods is toxic. don't be mad at the people who are healthy and don't be mad at yourself for not being like the "perfect picture" you see of someone, we all have bad days, so focusing on the good is what gets you through it.
Girl you are AMAZING! I always wanna be the best version of myself, but it is indeed rlly hard to follow the rigorous routine daily. Now u motivated me a lot, and I will defo try it. I hope all girls can be what they wanna be!!!!💗💗

i love how you not make it one thing only. THAT GIRL can be honestly anything that make you feel good, thats importnant too underline that, i think you id it amazingly. it was such a great video
