@PetFoodPuzzleGuy thanks , I have all those kidney diets from the vet , wer and dry , and she refused to eat them . She was on a kitten purina from the vet office then moved to adult purina also from the vet for a long time , but she started vomiting and her vet suggested hills diet for sensitive stomach, she hates it , refuse to eat so we tried senior purina from the vet she hates it m so we went back to puriba adult maintainece wet and dry from the vet, she vomited the food after ingesting grass , she wanted to vomit hair balls sometimes, so the vet gave her paste for hair ball she did not like it , tried a variety of treatments for hairball but no relief. She was always small and never more than 4 kg all her life. She is 17 now and has lost more weight she is now 2.84 kg after the recent diagnosis. She is on sub q since July 9, 75cc a day , also Cerinia everyday, appetite stimulant every48 hours , other mediation to coat the stomach lining incase she has an ulcer , this one mid day and midnight. We also use aluminum hydroxide for phosphorus binding but she doesn't eat the food wet or dry.i offer and encourage her you drink purina hydrate every day one pouch , she used to like it but recently she doesn't. I have lots of food from the vet and also from pet smart lots of wet food, including low phosphorus weruva. She feels better after subq . But she doesn't eat . She should have 3 small cans of wet food a day but she never eat more than one small can of wet food a day all her life , now she never finish a quarterof a small can , she used to graze , and nibble in the dry food that is always available to her 24 hours since she was a tiny kitten , alway fresh food , fresh water. Daily brushing her hair a few times a day to this day. Low stress environment, no smoking, no perfume, careful selection of household cleaners, no herbicide on the lawn , no pesticides. etc .Thank you for your patience reading all of this.

@tj, based on my experience and what the doc said, statistically your cat is at higher risk of age related disease like renal disease at age 7 or 8. So that would be a great time.
All my labs contain SDMA now and any running idexx is probably the same so there is a good chance if you consent to yearly wellness labs your getting an SDMA . It’s pretty standard now, I even do it on my in clinic labs starting about a month ago.

"Senior Aging 12+" - 30% protein
"Early Renal" - 28% protein
"Renal Special" - 26% protein
