I vote YES, KEEP YOUR PIANO. I am 70 and still play mine and read sheet music. I truly believe you and Moosie will enjoy the times you sit down to play and do it often! I thoroughly enjoyed your playing! Please post more videos at your piano!
Please keep the piano, its part of you and your history. You can play Christmas carols and Moosie can sing over the holidays. Praise be to God, Moosie is coming home soon.
Please keep it! We all need something to call our own and that takes us into a special place of peace, calm and happiness. It's relaxing and I can imagine Moosie enjoys hearing you play it also for nostalgia..........yes I indeed would keep it! You give so much and do so much, please do that for yourself...........God love you!
I moved in 2022. My husband had passed in 2017 and I wanted to downsize , reduce yard upkeep and be much closer to several family members. Left my piano as thought those days were over. Wow! What an error on judgement. One year later I knew I wanted a piano. 🎉😂so- gave myself an 85th birthday gift. I did buy a digital so I can adjust the touch according to what my arthritis calls for on any given day. Keep and enjoy your piano and rejoice in whatever skill level you posess❤❤❤
Keep the piano. You can serenade Moosie and practice at the same time. I'm impressed with all you do. I'm 65 and find myself struggling to get off the sofa to do the real detailed work around the house. I can at least say the house 'looks' clean and I cook everyday. But you're quite clever and very active. You're a great inspiration! Still praying for you both.🤍
Please please please keep your piano and schedule yourself to play it once or twice a week. I got rid of mine years ago and regret it. Studies have shown playing the piano is wonderful for keeping our brains healthy and it brings us such joy!!! ❤
Just starting the video but please keep the piano. To be able to still play is a talent and so good for the brain on many levels. I sure do believe you had wonderful parents because you have a positive loving personality. 🥰
I vote for keeping the piano! You light up when playing it! You were on my mind so much last night because.... my husband was taken to the ER last evening & wouldn't you know, as we were coming back from the CT room,I fell so hard into a parked stretcher & all I thought of was the day Moose fell!! Thank God that other than my pride, I was ok except for some very sore bones in different parts of my body today!! This aging process is not for the faint of heart! So happy to hear that Moose is coming home!❤
Keep your piano! I am 77 yrs old. I learned to play as a young girl as well. I don’t play as often now as I used to, but I could never part with my piano. It would be like parting with an old friend! I would miss it so much! Keep playing. It brings so much comfort and joy.
Thank you Nanny. It’s really difficult to downsize and get rid of the things we love and that brings us joyful memories but memories will still be there if you decide to get rid of the piano. Nobody can make that decision for you, you and only you can do that.
Oh Nannie keep the piano. My father was a professional musician. I also remember sitting on the piano bench along side if him. It was he who played though and even as a very young girl I would sing. All the old show tunes. Some Jazz, songs from the 40's. Such wonderful memories. I never learned to play but I still have his Stienway upright grand. HALLELUJAH Moosie is coming home. What a Mighty God we serve. Wonderful News. Love you and Moosie and continue to pray for total recovery.
❤❤❤Oh Nanny I’m close to tearing up! You remind me of my mom when she was alive and playing the piano beautifully! Oh Nanny, keep your piano and when Moose comes home you can play the piano for him! Just imagining it brings tears to my eyes!❤❤❤
DON'T DO IT,Nanny!😢Don't get rid of your piano. You played so Beautifully, and I just know Moosie will enjoy it when he comes home. It's like something old can be new again! Reading your comments from all your fans,I think you have the answer to your question on whether to keep your piano or not, Love You!
2:25 keep your piano for now Nanny...you can see how it goes before you make a decision...it is so sad how fast our lives can change...keep your smile and take care of yourself! Good luck to you and Moosie!!❤
Hello Nanny! How this warms my heart hearing you play your piano and the enjoyment in brought to you. I say keep your piano and keep on playing. I have had my piano for 45 years. Bought for me by my precious Dad and Mom and although I don't play much any more either and I am so so rusty, I will never part with it. Please tell Moosie hello and how happy to hear he will soon be home.
Greetings Mary Ellen! I watched this video this morning before Church and found it so endearing. Now, at night, I had to close my day with it. Please do keep the piano! Watching you playing after so many years was simply wonderful. I could see your memories playing along with you. How brave and curious you were to start to play again! You will not regret keeping it. What a beautiful way to experience your own personal downtime all by yourself. And what joy and pleasure for us, if you let us join you now and again!
Hi Nanny, I'm a subscriber who has watched you for years and never comments, but this one has compelled me to say KEEP the piano! Get it tuned and ENJOY playing it whenever you want to! You can play and Moosey can sing along! Music is great magical therapy!!🥰🎼🎶💖
Oh Nanny, I hope the new plan for the cottage has your piano in it. Please keep it. Playing piano is a part of who you are whether you play often or seldom. I'm speaking from experience. Keeping it means you can play if & when you want to. Think about how you regret purging that "favorite" shirt. Purging your piano? No way. Bump it up against the outside of your kitchen island if you have to. Wild idea🤣but you won't regret it. 🎼💖 Love & Prayers!
Please keep the piano. You have too many wonderful special memories centered around it. I can see you playing and Moosey singing. I loved hearing the story of your dad and Bluebird of Happiness. I looked the song up because I had never heard of it. I truly love hearing all of your life's stories, keep them up. It is kind of funny how I can get so attached to someone I have never met or really now, but I truly care and love y'all too pieces. Prayers for you and Moosey, may GOD continue to bless us all. ❤
Dear Nanny….pleas keep your piano! I too used to play and we sold our piano and I missed it so much my hubby bought me one yrs ago…I didn’t play too much but recently I started up again…I have most of my sheet music and some books and yes I can read still….i think when the colder weather comes I’ll play more…like you I play for me…I don’t like playing when my hubby is home…I hit a sour note and get embarrassed even though he says it sounds good…it’s something you’ll always have to go back too! So happy Moosie is getting better and going home soon. God bless! ❤️❤️
I would get an electronic keyboard 🎹 that you could store easily and still be able to pull out and play when you feel like it ❤❤❤❤. So happy that Moosie will be home soon🎉
I think this is your solution Nanny. The electric keyboards are excellent. My mum uses one. You can plug in earphones too if you like, so only you can hear you playing. Definitely keep playing, whatever it is you decide to do. So excited about moosie coming home. Love to you both xx
KEEP the piano...much more memories tied to it than the dresser found at a flea market or whatever; And, Shamu has earned his treasured perch indeed, after all he went through!!! In the long run I feel sure you will realize you did the right thing. Love you precious Nanny, and, just listen and follow your heart!! Love you and loved your sweet little blue bird of happiness!
Hi Nanny...I think that you might regret it if you get rid of that piano. Maybe tge boys can store it in the shed until Moosey can walk better and then it can be brought back in? Also, are you sure you have no ties to it? Lol. Looks like you may just have ties...🙏💜
So nice to see you play the piano Nanny. For sure removing clutter is a good thing. Too much is just too much. On the positive side, you are so blessed to have help you can trust to help you move and help you around your home, to keep you independent and safe. I know you once mentioned how much you miss your former big house, but really you are so blessed to have this small functional adobe house right next to your daughter. Big house = big management and as we get older, we can manage better with less obligations so downsizing to make life more manageable is wise and a blessing. Counting our blessings one by one.! Thank You Father God!❤🙏💕
Keep what you love.I can see playing the piano 🎹 for Moosey..With pretty candles glowing. You don't want to give up all your memories. U ARE DOING A FANTASTIC Job!!!❤❤❤
If the piano brings you joy, keep it.I would hate to see you unhappy for doing something you may regret.😂 We are so excited Moosie is going to soon be home..I love the quilt hanging up there. We love you all& hope & pray you can soon be together in your little cottage on the hill..getting cozy for fall.😂👍🌻❤🙏
Keep it, beautiful plus its therapy and oh so good for you. You are emotionally invested in the piano and its time well spent! So glad to hear that Moose is coming home! You can't keep a good man down! Love to you all! happiness and prayers xoxox
Oh please keep the piano, it brought me joy just watching you play and listening to you talking about it. It also brought tears to my eyes. God bless you and Moosie. Lots of love from Tennessee!
Oh yes you must keep the piano for you, and of course shamo loves it too. You all have been so busy getting ready for Moosie’s home coming, sending love ❤ hugs 🤗 & prayers 🙏
I vote to keep the piano. You enjoy playing and you and Moosie can reminisce about the songs you love. Plus it's good exercise for your hands and for your brain.❤
Oh Nanny, don`t give up your piano. I gave mine to one of my granddaughters and missed it, but was happy to see her take lessons and become quite good at it. I missed it so much that I bought a portable Yamaha piano, that fits in my bedroom and love it. I too saved my sheet music as well as some of my Mom`s and her Mom`s. Love your videos, they seem to hit home on many occasions. Love and Blessings To You And Moosie.
Nanny... music is VERY important ! Hope you keep your piano ♥️...in my 70s i discovered i could sing ! Got a karaoke machine and sing as often as possible ( a lot ) about a month ago walked into our mall and they had a DJ and he said does anyone want to sing I did ! ...i sang an Elvis song and guns and roses " sweet child of mine"...a real rocker and one of my favorites ! A whole crowded mall of people! Nanny listen to your heart...its just telling you God has a new gift for you and moosey . I believe the best is yet to come for all of us dear one , be encouraged!! ❤❤❤.. Love to you and your whole wonderful family ♥️🤠
i noticed the slouching D. LOL. Shamoo is happy and you are planning for the big event. Moosie is recovering and that is an answer to our prayers. Bless you.
Nanny, so happy you re-discovered the pleasure in playing the piano. However, since I am most definitely old enough….Im In The Mood For Love, is simply stuck in my head!🤪 So funny how we can remember lyrics to a song from decades ago, but can’t remember why we walked into the kitchen! You and your guys gave made wonderful progress getting the cottage ready for Moosies’ homecoming. While I know there will be challenges, I can only imagine the joy in your heart to have your guy back home. Have a great weekend, and look forward to hearing about your return trip to the Vallarta store.🥰☀
Hi Nanny, That's great playing the piano again it brings back lovely memories and good news Moosie coming home and Shamu is so beautiful Thanks so Much and more Prayers on the Way ❤🙏❤
When my husband and I our sold our R.I. home of 32 years and relocated to a much smaller retirement home in Florida, we could not take everything with us. I still had the piano that my late parents purchased for me when I was 10 and began taking piano lessons. Although it was a difficult decision, I gave my piano away to a child I was made aware of that had an interest in taking piano lessons but her parents could not afford to purchase her a piano. Yes, I had tears in my eyes when I watched the truck leave with what was my piano but I knew it was going to a new owner who would likely love it as much as I did. Nanny, precious things may reminded us of sweet memories of our past, but even if we have to part with some of those precious things we will always have the sweet memories of the joys they brought us stored always in our hearts and minds. 💕
Hooray 🙌 Moosie is coming home GOD is good 🙏🏻🌹 I vote to keep the piano Nanny you had a totally peaceful expression on your face talking about it I really think it could become your relaxing time and Moosie would love your playing as well 💕🙌 GOD bless you both and all others round the world 🙏🏻🌹💕
Nannie that was beautiful you know music 🎶 is good for the soul can you sleep 💤 on the decision of giving it away i can just see you playing softly on the piano to your moosie on one of these soon to be days when the weather changes, im sure whatever decision you make all things will be considered. The Mexican grocery store trip was fun we were all on our best behavior as you took us all along we don't have stores like that where im from. I loved seeing shamoo 🐱🐾🐾 and what a talker im sure he/she was thinking i never knew this thing had sound i thought it was my resting place for being on the lookout for other Furry and feathered friends 😊. Have a peaceful evening Nannie im praying for the both of you 🙏 ❤ ✝️
Keep the piano, you love playing it so much. Enjoyed visiting with you and glad Mousie is coming home next week. You take care and hopefully you can get some sleep.
Thanks for having the day with you!! You have done so much~~ many changes some times ~also bring beautiful memories 🤗 you just Can’t buy old friends. Going to look cozy & “Home” 💜Joan
Nanny the jewelry looks nice how you arranged it. Also I like the white quilt up it matches the walls. So glad you enjoyed piano playing. Yes I vote too to keep the piano and enjoy playing, it's soothing and enjoyable and releases stress. I guess I said enjoy enjoy and enjoyable So I also say I enjoyed the video. HA :D
Nanny, you mean the world to all of us here!! We learn so much from you. You are such an inspiration!!! So many of us get nostalgic at times. We miss our parents, we miss the good times. Nanny, I think you should keep your piano. It holds good memories for you and perhaps as you said, you can play it more!! If it makes you feel good, please do it!!! Glad Moosie is coming home . Enjoy your time together. Please take care of you as well!! Hugs , prayers and ❤❤
Oh Nanny I think if it is able to work out, keep the piano. It brings you much happiness and many memories. My Mom played the piano and it gave her so much joy. I totally understand the emotions you feel when talking about your Mom and Dad and the past memories. Maybe it is as we get older that we become nostalgic and miss the days gone by. I, too, am going through that as well. If it brings you joy, keep it! ❤💖 Geri
Keep the piano. It brings you joy, happiness, and you have great memories. Glad to hear that Moosie is continuing to heal and do well. Sending lots of love and hugs to you both.
Dear Nanny, just you do what you’re heart tells you to do Nanny about your Piano. I’m sure you will make the Right Decision. Loved hearing you Play. Take Care and don’t be doing too much. Love and God Bless Cathy 🏴 xxxx
Dear Nanny: I can see the joy in your face as you talk about your memories of playing your piano. I think that you should keep your piano. It is obvious that you get pleasure sitting and playing your music from the past. I am sure that Moosie would enjoy it too. You may regret it if you decide to get rid of it. It will provide you with hours of enjoyment when the weather is bad and you can't get outside. Love from Canada...Ona Pelletier.
As a child growing up, we always had a piano and/or organ in our home. My Dad played by ear and could play anything so my memories are that it gave us so much enjoyment because we would all sing when he played. Yes, Im in the Mood for love was one of the hundreds of old songs that he played! If it were me, I would KEEP the piano! It seems to give you so much comfort and joy and what I would do is have someone come and tune the piano and then you will be ready for many good times again in your little cottage with Moosie singing and you playing! God Bless you Mary Ellen and dear Moosie. I look forward to seeing his smiling face again and your sweet smile as well! Don't forget that Shamu needs to be able to look outside and the piano is her perch! LOL
Nanny dear, happy to hear Moosie is recovering well and coming home. I love ❤️ to watch your videos so much. I think you are a very special lovely couple . Praying and thanking God for the outcome .🥰
KEEP the Piano Nanny!! I see the light in your eyes as you were talking about it! You can play, Moosie can sing! Very therapeutic. Besides all that it brings you joy, the memories...keep the piano! 💞
I have to join everyone who is urging you to keep your piano. Aside from Moosies' helpers and your kitchen requirements, your piano is your most priceless possession. Musical instruments have cognitive benefits and they give us a healthy distraction from worries and mental health challenges in general. If you have to move it out of your house, give it to a family member or donate it to a church or the Salvation Army, please don't leave it on the sidewalk to get rained on. I love your channel.
My dear nanny and moose love you both so much .and I'm am thrilled moosie is coming home.and what a beautiful job you did on the house nanny .just adore you both❤❤❤
Thank you for the video. My parents had an art deco vanity exactly like yours. However, it had a huge round mirror attached that was the entire width of the vanity. I hope all goes well for Moose and you when he returns home. God bless you, Moose and your family. ♥
❤🎉 Regret is a terrible thing Nanny, I hope you keep the piano. You look lovely in that black top, it suits you. So glad Moosie is almost home, you two are a long standing team. Remember, two heads are better than one!! 😅 Thanks for continuing to grace us with your videos Nanny, and yes, may God graciously bless us all. 😊❤🙏😘🪻
Hi Nanny. Thank you for sharing such a nice video. I like how you hang up the white quilt in the door way. Your cottage looks very nice. May God bless you and Moosey.
PLEASE, PLEASE save your piano.! I began lessons at 6 years old. I played all my life…….church, school and college as well as at home. I have not played in about 5 years also. I am 83 and no piano. So I am buying a good keyboard, stand and bench. I have a lot of music and want to get back to daily playing. Get your piano tuned and play, sing and enjoy! Love you and pray for you and Moosie. I am all alone, retiring 20 years ago after teaching and serving as an elementary school principal. Music is the joy of the world! We need all of that in these very troubling times.
I’m so glad Moose is doing better. And I’m so glad you have gotten in some me time. Keep your piano 🎹 if you’re in doubt wait to do it. If you do get rid of it. Your could put a board in the window with a cushion for Shamu. ♥️
Hi Nanny along with all your other friends , I too wish you would be able to keep your piano it’s just fabulous to see and hear you , I loved it too it’s great you would have a lot of enjoyment please keep it I would love to hear more I always wished I could play . Hope you can get some rest lots of love to you and your moose thinking of you both lots of love 💕🥰❤️
I also belive that the younger generation does not understand our treasures, l told my son when he is my age he will feel the same way, those are my life treasures. I will rent one of those garage things if I have to, love you and moose so very much xoxoxo God's blessings on your entire family
Nanny - I don't usually write comments but felt moved to for this one. I have watched you for a long time now and love your attitude and love of life and thank you for that! The reason I am writing today is because of your piano and music. I am a Therapeutic Musician and know how important and healing music is (especially as we age). I encourage you to either keep your piano or if that isn't possible - find a way to play the songs that remind you of happy times and look for them on instrumental piano music. That will hep Moosie and you both Rest and Heal! Peace, Tinky

I say KEEP the piano - it brings you joy and great memories! Since Moosie likes to sing, too, you will both enjoy it!!
Thank you for playing your piano for us. I enjoyed it. ❤️

Keep your piano, Nanny, play & sing for us ... we would all absolutely love it.

God bless you too, you are a strong lady….I say keep the piano, as long as you have the space….I can see you love playing it.

You all have been so busy getting ready for Moosie’s home coming, sending love ❤ hugs 🤗 & prayers 🙏
So very thankful for the update on Moose, praise God 🙏💕
Nanny keep your lovely piano, those piano keys hold a lot of beautiful memories. I love you and Moosie ,so glad for you and that he’s coming home.❤️
Hooray 🙌 Moosie is coming home GOD is good 🙏🏻🌹

Hugs , prayers and ❤❤
Oh my Nannie, I can’t imagine giving up your piano. Not a decision I would want to make.
All the best to you and Moosie💕.
Think your crafts and cooking etc plus taking care of moosey is plenty plus you love the dresser for makeup etc
Nanny - I hope you realize how amazing YOU are❣️ You’re such a huge inspiration to everyone🌹. So happy Moosie is doing good!
My dear nanny and moose love you both so much .and I'm am thrilled moosie is coming home.and what a beautiful job you did on the house nanny .just adore you both❤❤❤
Keep the piano. Music calms the soul.
Keep it it do gives you enjoyment !!!!!You sounded great ! You and Moonie can enjoy it ❤
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for continuing to grace us with your videos Nanny, and yes, may God graciously bless us all. 😊❤🙏😘🪻

So glad Moosie is coming home, and it sounds like you will have some help with him, you are Amazing!, ♥️♥️
Nanny, if the piano brings you joy, keep it. With everything going on in the world we need to grab joy when we can . 🙏
