LEAVING FOR 18 MONTHS | SAYING OUR FINAL GOODBYE

- Today Dan and Chelle are saying their final goodbyes to their niece Madi and including their entire trip to the beautiful San Diego in ONE EPIC VIDEO! So much happens right as they leave their house early in the morning to catch their flight down to Southern California. They immediately stop off at the La Jolla cliffs to catch a glimpse of the sea lions sun bathing out on the rocky cliffside. Some are more active than others, pestering nearby sea lions, and even jumping off the rocks into the waters below! They're sounds are the best part. They meet up with This Is How We Bingham on the shores of La Jolla Beach to head out into the ocean on kayaks! As they begin paddling out they are shocked at the number of leopard sharks swimming right beneath them! The paddle down the shoreline to see caves, sea lions, and many more kayakers! When they arrive back to the beach, they immediately wade back into the water to track down the leopard sharks, and it didn't take long...they were everywhere! With cameras down in the water they capture some epic shots of these beautiful creatures swimming along the sandy bottom. They head up to The Taco Stand for dinner before calling it a night. The next day they attend The Church of Jesus Christ to hear their niece Madi's farewell talk as she will be leaving to serve a mission for their church in the Dominican Republic! They say their goodbyes since they will not see her for the next 18 months. To cheer themselves up they head down to D Street Beach to catch the sunset and take some photos! They finish off their final day down at Mission Beach with Branden and Mindy and family where there were more seagulls than people! They have the time of their lives watching them fly around and try to steal their food, say their final goodbyes and head back to Utah to their little buddy Louie!

Dan n Chelle, your vlogs are always enjoyable to watch no matter what format the come in. That was a really sweet thing you did, flying all the way to San Diego for Maddies farewell, I know how close Chelle n Maddie are I hope both ladies are kept busy so the time goes quickly. Seagulls! They are rather clever and opportunistic birds! I’ve seen them steal unopened chip and taco chip giant size bags out of unattended beach bags, and drag or fly them away then tear at the bag until it rips open. Always know when it’s folks that aren’t regulars at the beach! Those gulls know what chip bags look like! It’s almost impossible to eat at the beach, especially if it’s fish and chips. That used to be a favorite thing for us with the kids. Now when we go with the grandkids, the seagulls are so aggressive, you don’t dare eat unless you have food to put out for the gulls to keep them away. We mostly go enjoy the beach, then order and take home. So, yes, those gulls know there is food or crumbs wherever people things are. 😅 fun to watch them ride the wind tho! I loved your footage of the flying gulls!
