Jake Mase why are you so thirst for money? How can you be a teacher when you don't even know how to do real kung fu? Any one can slap a price tag on bullshit.
Earthbending style that all Earthbenders from Avatar use is based on Hung Gar Kung Fu (style with a lot of "tiger and crane stuff") but Toph's specific style of Earthending is based on Southern Praying Mantis (this is official info, not a theory). Here a video of this art, look how the posture, footwork and arms movements are almost equal to those of Toph: th-cam.com/video/kkg8MJwTmUM/w-d-xo.html
Also how he has to translate for Marcos and then when he's done with the English, he asks Marcos if that right and Marcos says he because Marcos understood the English...
It’s all fanciful but in reality, the dude could be easily overwhelmed by kicking his legs out and throwing him around with his lack of body weight. Not to be the Internet tough guy, but I could feed this dude his teeth with just basic kickboxing.
When I first got into Jeet kune Do and learned the wing chun aspect of I see a lot is very similar in techniques. Pretty cool to see how kung-fu all ties in together.
The techniques are very effective this old man keeps wanting to mow my lawn 🥋. he's not coming back or probably mowing any lawns anytime at the start of spring.🥊
I've watched your video with the karate nerd, and it was good. I'm also glad to see a kung fu in what I want to do after I move away from my current tang soo do school.
2:08 how good would it have been if he'd actually aimed for the face instead of intentionally going to one side before the other dude even touched his arm. Would have loved that slow-mo knockout.
i really believe that you should look else where for self defense, this style is alot of counterattacks that require you to parry and block attacks at the same time allowing you grab their arm. Not claiming that none would work. only that they would be situational. this style has no protection in clinch or on floor. this wouldn't work in a street fight. most definingly a beginner in the style. maybe if you study the art for years and use others style. look up something else kid
the blocks and some of the counters remind me of my hapkido training. In fact, when I started training in wing chun, the sifu commented that my moves seemed similar to mantis kung fu.
It’s so difficult finding information on Praying Mantis KungFu so thank you so much for this. First demo was a head scratcher, second was so much better. Could see where the strike had room for power vs just a tag; the arm wasn’t absorbing half the strike, he had room to extend into the target etc. The hook brings up so many questions. I don’t want to dismiss it offhand as ineffective but redirecting that much power into a counter strike seems to involve so much potentially self damaging contact considering how short and explosive hooks are. Redirecting vs avoiding just seems soooo risky. Wish dude could explain more but again I appreciate the content, thank you!
In Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown videogame, my favorite character is Lion Rafale and he uses Praying Mantis kung fu style. It is such a very unique and interesting style.
Great technics brother! my first cousin Sifu Raul Ortiz has been training and teaching Mantis Kung Fu over 50 yrs in New York USA under Grandmaster Kam Wing lee. Sifu was my Inspiration to start martial arts 45 yrs ago. I train and teach Isshin - ryu Karate in Virginia USA. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Thank you
I can see why the creators of avatar used this kung fu style for toph, it involves a lot of footwork which is perfect for an earthbender and its very defensive!
What's the point if you will still get your ass whooped in a fight? This is highly ineffective. No one on earth has ever just thrown a straight right and at half speed where they pause with the arm extended for about 2 minutes. Get an amateur boxing champion from Spain in this video and let's see how you effectively block a jab, cross and left hook when it actually comes from a boxer with the intent to hurt. And forget about MMA in this. His stances are beautiful for single leg takedowns into full mount and then elbows raining down on your nose.
@@911shan it's effective believe me or not, tried different fighting styles went to boxer/kickbox to karate and now this, one of the best styles and def effective of all times, i can block jabs easily and throw them in the ground in a matter of seconds
@@911shan How would u know? The guy actually did throw a real punch at him. Just because you don't see a lot of ppl using them in the UFC, that doesn't mean it won't work!
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HELPING US PASS 1,000,000 Subscribers!!! I've been teaching traditional Chinese Kung Fu on TH-cam for 10 years now and it feels so good to have over 1 MILLION of you following my Kung Fu and Tai Chi journey! I HAVE A SPECIAL VIDEO CELEBRATING 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS COMING OUT IN A FEW DAYS! Train hard and train often my friends! ;)
I gave a like to this one because it's an authentic training session. Keep teaching healthy lifestyle and whatever you really know. Then have different guests on your show that are masters, advanced disciples, and black belts to demonstrate the traditional techniques. Thumbs up for producing a show demonstrating actual praying mantis.
Total respect! Just a humble suggestion rethink, blocking with your hand, it’s a really good way to get it broken. Keep up the hard work I always enjoy watching these videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Not at all you cannot catch an arm if a fighter is punching at high speed, also it is hard to tell when and what is coming . Kung fu may seem cool but most techniques arent appliccable to any fight situations other than fighting old men. Mixed martial arts is the one martial art that will prevail.
Actually i disagree See there are over 400 styles of kung fu by critisizing 1 art you do not understand most Personally i dont think this video is useful but more traditional versions like northern praying mantis style or animal styles of kung fu or shaolin kung fu WHICH has been tested for a long time and is very much real is powerful
Well, at least the students he is interviewing are authentic. Maybe you have finally found your calling, Jake. Instead of claiming to know (and teach) styles that you do not, why not just do interviews, continue your travelling, and stay involved in growing healthy organic food and projects that will ultimately help our environment and the way we live. You can film all of this and still make money. There is no longer a need to defraud people. You seem kind and have the potential to ACTUALLY help people and make a difference.
Yeah show many masters and disciples of authentic Kung Fu and learn along the way. Teach healthy lifestyle, meditation, or whatever you really know yourself. Then the knowledge and discipline will spread in Truth.
It is very interesting for me to watch this video. I practice wing chun and it is very interesting to see wushu videos about the animal styles of kung fu and see the little parts, strikes, positions that wing chun took it from. The first block and punch of the mantis style in this video is called pak sao in wing chun.
That was a great video with a beautiful background! My lady loved it as she spent her youth in Rota and she enjoyed listening to the accent of your powerful buddy there. Very informative and I loved the full force shots. You're doing great branching out and finding other king fu practitioners in the EU! So fun to watch.
I love this work iam from Puerto Rico and my name is Juan Rivera, I been a fan of your,s I saw u in you tu along time a go, back 2009 I used to practice marcial arts. Iam older now iam in my 50s and I do a little walking an try to keep my self bissey .sorry my spelling is not good. I like your work and I your training please keep it up, I will try to learn more from you, than you Jake .
Master Lee Kam Wing's Praying Mantis Style of Kungfu. Is way better than this crap. Yu Hai's Praying Mantis is better. Chan Pui, Mimi Chan, Shaolin Mantis (thats a Lau Kar Leung movie), Chee Ip Keung, any Seven Star Praying Mantis Style Of Kungfu. Is Way Better Than anything fake jake does.
I like the 3rd punch- a right hook thrown from the back left pants pocket and not even aimed at the target. That water bend defense for it is even less reality based.
@P M B No, what u r saying isn't right. If u r fighting in MMA of course then u r not going to get inside the cage with just one style. You are comparing someone with just one style of Kung Fu/martial art going up against someone with Muay Thai & BJJ. But if a well trained Praying Mantis or Wing Chun fighter learns BJJ, he or she could also compete well in MMA as well. In fact, quite a lot of pro MMA fighters have learned and used Taekwondo moves as well. Read this: medium.com/martial-arts-unleashed/top-11-best-taekwondo-fighters-in-mma-ufc-history-c61c4640e421 It's usually the fighter's own fault for not executing the moves well enough, not because the techniques don't work. I don't see why Tony Ferguson, Anderson Silva and other pro MMA fighters would learn the techniques of Wing Chun if they didn't work at all.. If u fight inside the cage with only BJJ or boxing and nothing else, u wouldn't get too far either! So generally speaking, it's best to learn a couple styles and train as hard as u can. Techniques and power/speed all matter the same!
@P M B Ok there, sounds like u got most of ur info from Joe Rogan or something.. LOL.. Like I said earlier, a lot of pro MMA/UFC fighters use Taekwondo moves in their fights. I guess u don't have a lot of experiences in MMA
@P M B What they teach u is TECHNIQUES, to become a really good fighter all depends on how hard u train and how smart u are. Btw, Jiu Jitsu is a martial art as well, and almost all pro MMA fighters have to learn it. Keep saying everything is useless will just make u more useless.
@P M B How about BJJ and wrestling? They only teach u grappling, no kicking and punching! Boxing only teaches u punching, no kicking, elbowing, kneeing, grappling, etc. That's why MMA exists today! I made it clear already, Taekwondo and other martial arts are more about self defense so they only teach u techniques, not training u to become a full contact fighter! Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/majFwZuxBLM/w-d-xo.html Taekwondo isn't the best martial art, but their kicks are incredible! Even Tony Ferguson and Anderson Silva are learning Wing Chun.
+Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace You need it after 20 years of fraud of teaching fake knug fu! But now your an expert right?! Mamahahhaaaaa... sure you are.
@@tomohuunbiocked9655 You get what you can see (for free), so take it or leave it... but maybe there are certain things you cant learn from youtube, like respect and gratitude... and please dont troll into my comments!
+Dave Smith Gratitude and respect?! gratitude for what?! for FAKE FU! Honesty is the order of the day, JAKE! And your extra accounts is fooling no one!
With the third counter, you could counter it with a roundhouse kick or knees, followed with a jab from the empty hand or a backfist from the redirected fist. Its not a bad move, since its uses the opponents arm to defend yourself from any sort of punches they may throw, countering and defeating any street brawler or boxer, and I could even see it working in a Kickboxing/MMA setting, due to the unusual movement of it. The forth move, the kick, I really like. It makes even a jab something that could lead to someone being unable to fight, or harassing good fighters.
Well I go with Bruce Lee on this one .. Bruce Lee said that for fighting street fighting the Choy Lee Fat was the best and the stronger , Bruce Lee even said that until today Choy Lee Fat was the only kung-fu style ever betting a Thai expert in Muy Thai. .. This is a story told by Bruce Lee and other experts many times about the old challenges between styles and Muy Thai had defeated every kung-fu style the Chinese sended to fight them once a year while they were in China and this went on for many years the Muy Thai used to make this challenges , all martial arts did back than ... So it's cames the time that it was the Chinese turne to challenge the Muy Thai art , and they wanted to fight but in Thailand this time and it was like always they used to do the fighters had 3 fights to do and they must win at least 2 of them to be winners so they pick up the Muy Thai fighter and the Chinese sended their Choy Lee Fat fighter to Thailand and they Choy Lee Fat fighter win all 3 fights, something that never had happened and not convinced that the style was superior to Muy Thai the Chinese Choy leet Fat had to fight 3 more fights that day , and he wan them all the Choy Lee Fat defeated all the rounds and the Chinese recoverd the honor back ... This really happened not because Bruce Lee , but because I found that same story in many documents and from different sources (masters) not all from kung-fu. ... this is a well known story
LUIS FILIPE Silva I can’t remember the quote exactly but Bruce lee said something like, it’s not the style but the creating individual that counts. A fighter who can cut the bullshit, train hard and apply the correct skill in the moment will beat any style. It’s the martial artist that counts, not the martial art.
@@trustedfox I ear you ... but that thought it's a gendai way of thinking, in the old days it wasn't like that ... even in the 70's and the 80's we saw the Gracies doing the sane thing putting their art to fight other arts like street fighting. . Remember this ??? They used to invade each other's acadamies and Dojos, art against art those who had more wins it declare that his art was superior ...do you remember this ??? I do ... So in the old days the superior art should prove it self by letting their fighters fight and if the lower ranks beat the best fighters of the other art it would be consider superior. .. And this it was they way they did it .. Japan challenge Korean arts for many years during the invasion .. Thailand also did the sane thing and China as well ... I the old days it was a common practice to defend and represent the art that you mastered. .. Nowadays with everyone doing crosst raining and knowing a little bit of every art it's no longer art against art because they are all familiarize with the same techniques so that concept it's no longer in use ... But in the pass a fighter of karate only trained karate the sane for Ju-jutsu , Thai boxing, kung-fu, Taekwondo etc ... So they were well rounded but only inside their art they didn't know anything about the other arts so , it was art vs art and the most versatile art usually wan ... This is not difficult to see let's remember the old days in the ufc and you would see that concept being used when Bjj with the Gracies and other Bjj experts wan over all the other arts by simply doing the grappling that no one did back then , only wrestlers and Bjj used to dominated every other guy because of that they did what others didn't know nothing about and pay off , today it's different because everyone is doing the same more less so with this cross training every one it's equal in knowledge so in this concept of course it's fighter against fighter because they no the same things only strategy and cardio will make the difference to win because they all train in the same way .... And even by doing that my friend things are changing and in a bit would be no longer fighter against fighter , but camp vs camp , tea. Vs team , who train beat , who as the best strategists, who as more champions. .. so you see that the concepts are always changing to fit somebody agenda ..... But I ear you my friend I understand what you are saying ... Be well ...
Please cite the story because I know you can’t. Bruce never said that. Wing Chun was the enemy of Choy La Fut. they had roof top matches in Hong Kong. Bruce knew that Wing Chun was superior.
@@trustedfox exactly. .. in those times Bruce Lee was a pioneer when he understood that wing Chung didn't had all the answers for street fighting and that's what started the Bruce Lee's process of creating concepts of fighting taken from different arts like Ju-jutsu, boxing , savate, and more ... Taken what fits you and live the rest because what's good for you may not serve for me and vice versa ... one can train Jeet kune do all we wants that is not gonna make him Bruce Lee not even close because I think that that was made exactly for him they way he move they way he understood things and trained no one does that not like him so the results can't be the same ... Take what's serves you well and move to another. ... He Bruce Lee was a visionary it's to bad that he didn't see this mma boom, I would love to see how Bruce Lee would deal with the grappling arts .... I think that he would have learn them and incorporate them and move on .. Bruce Lee was untouchable he understood all aspects of the fight ..
Ants ants literally lost at least 5 conflicts through history. Monks slaughtered with home advantage and temple burned to the ground....multiple times So....no....
Another brilliant video by Jake. He really is the man! I love his stuff even though I don't do kung fu it helps see combat from a different perspective. Awesome stuff.
Now Fake Mace is an expert in mantis kung fu and he will be teaching it soon! I just had half an hour of introductory flight lesson; I am now an aviation expert and capable of teaching it. Anyone wants to learn from me?! you can trust me coz I am an expert now!
+Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace Yes learn from experts with 3 and 9 years experience, they had proper training. In comparison your 20 years of bogus training from moives shows why you a charlatan.
I take American Kenpo but i do like your videos, i have been searching for real martial artists, to enhance my arsenal and i’ve found you. If i could i’d bow in respect
By the way, "modern" Aikido IS a variation of praying mantis kung fu. So too is Jeet Kune Do, in its trapping & its Pendulum Kick. Everything developed by man is a gradual progression from something prior. One step further: 1) Kung Fu becomes fine-tuned when you instintively know when to apply pressure and relieve pressure. Praying mantis kung fu, in addition to being mindful of finding your center, is a circular motion art. The essence is knowing at what point in your circular motion to jet the pressure outward ... in either a block, a strike, or in a quick reflex motion of closing the distance, so as to not get knocked out with a kick or effective punch. You need extra stretching exercises if you follow this form. This form is perfect for gymnasts needing to (or wanting to) learn self-defense.
😒 good. Glad you think so. You dont need to learn tai chi. I know yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. Defense wise. Its anatomy man. Joints, pressure points, tendons, muscles ect. So... Glaf you believe anatomy isn't real. Last thing we need is people getting hurt gah lol
Yeah that was beautiful you can see it in action I'm starting just to learn to introduce that into my tennis game now and now I'm getting tremendous results today I hit better than ever before it's just constant realization of learning something I never giving up we get better and better and better
Very well done. Fighting like a man, but many things change since the fight in a cage. Good video, guys. Are you guys doing muvie fights. Looks nice on slow motion. Thanks
Choy Lee Fat it's the stronger style of kung-fu because of its power strikes with knees and elbows used much like muy thai , the fluid and precise kicks used like in Taekwondo and the strong circular and straight punches hard to defend against and then they even have the acrobatic moves and jumps very fast ... they really are a force to be recognized .... And once again. ... kung-fu Choy Lee Fat was the only kung-fu style ever defeating the Muy Thai in their own country Thailand. ... the Choy Lee Fat fighter fought 6 times that day , because the Muy Thai didn't wanted to accept defeat saying that it was luck, but with luck or skill Choy Lee Fat wan 3 fights non stop .... but they didn't care honor was on the line so they made the Choy lee Fat fighter fight 3 more times , the Chinese fought 6 times non stop that day and won them all .... this is the truth that every one can easily verify ... And it was from that , where the famous Frase from a Bruce Lee's movie came from, when in a scene A Thai fighter says to the Chinese .... - Now I know why this Kung-fu it's better ....
😒 good. Glad you think so. You dont need to learn tai chi. I know yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. Defense wise. Its anatomy man. Joints, pressure points, tendons, muscles ect. So... Glaf you believe anatomy isn't real. Last thing we need is people getting hurt gah lol There is no stronger style. Is the person not the art. If you dont see that then you will never grow as a martial artist. And you might learn your whole body is a weapon. Elbows knees. Its used. My martial arts is my own. Honestly yours is too.
@@joshuaphillips4680 of course I agree with you on this ( it's the man that makes the art and not the other way around ) But those facts that I described that happened in Thailand between Choy Lee Fat kung-fu and Muy Boran (the ancient Muy Thai ) This really was art against art , like in the 1st UFC, that it was also art Vs art , because both fighters were only trained in their own arts , so it's was art vs art ... Now to be man Vs man like you said and ( I agree with you my friend ) it's different than the old days because my friend when both fighters only know their art and nothing about the opponent's art , in these cases it's always art vs art and not man vs man or training vs training , both man have to trust their own art or style of fighting different of the other guy ... now this was how they did it in the ancient times. .. Today it's different, today it's like you said my friend , is man vs man , even the ufc changed the rules and the safety precautions that helped this changing of art vs art like the (old vale tudo ) , like the UFC 1,2,3,4 and 5 after that everything changed, it's was no more art against art because it wasn't financially lucrative, because once the strongest art reveal it self , the challenge the possibility of winning ended. .. we saw that in those early UFC fights when kick boxing , karate , Taekwondo, wrestling, jiu-jitsu and other arts like boxing etc cane to fight one on one and when they saw the superiority of jiu-jitsu and jiu-jitsu got the super art status all that ended there because everyone knew already before the fight starts that jiu-jitsu would win the fight and the bets started to lose interest and the money start to be short , less and less so what they did ?? They start the model of man vs man .... How how they did it ??? It's easy by changing the rules in the old days you only needed to know or art and that's it, so it was really art vs art , nowadays it's not possible anymore because in the Mma today you have disciplines that makes the foundation of MMA. You can be a master in whatever art you do but to do MMA you have to practice the foundations of MMA to be equal more less with your opponent , so you have to train the foundations like boxing, kick boxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and by doing this all fighters know something that the opponent is gonna know also , and with this model were all fighters have the sane base , they toke the advantage of an art being superior to another ... understand my friend ???? When both fighters have more less the same knowledge of fighting it's not gonna by art Vs art but man vs man instead and in this model ,yes the training and how you train and strategies are very important and that's what makes the difference today in being the winner or the loser ... they toke the advantages of the strongest arts and make all fighters train the sane disciplines, you can see that with lyoto machita the karate guy , today he is an expert in jiu-jitsu also and wrestling and boxing , a karate guy , doing all this ... In the same way you see wrestlers doing jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and boxing , like woody the champion, you also see great professionals in jiu-jitsu learning boxing and kickboxing and even wrestling to gain some advantages by training hard .... So the man Vs man its a modern concept, and in the ancient times it was really art vs art. ... Ok my friend , thank you for your answer and your points of view. .. I wish you all the best and excellent trainings. ... Be well my friend
es muy interesante ver la similitud de éste arte marcial con el karate Do. Con la utilización de las caderas y con los últimos bloqueos (Jordan age uke, chudan soto ude uke, gedan barai uke)
Jake, you get a lot of hate; but you are very knowledgeable and skillful. Don't let the haters get you down. Even Bruce Lee was reviled in his younger days.
Not if you train. Try tai chi yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. He mains white crane. Hes a grandmaster. Its anatomy. But i do it for an art. And its beautiful. Mine is my own. I creat my own style and still learning.
I got to the third technique before I started laughing my ass off, you want to cross parry a haymaker, rotate the arm and strike the liver with the same hand before a jab or a hook takes your head clean off … yeah … never going to happen, have any of these fools spent a day in a boxing ring before?
MouseTrap95 uhhhh.... IF you are faster than your opponent. He is absolutely correct. That technique takes WAY to long You are aware king fu/gung fu are....get this.... Chinese Boxing? Basic boxing technique is the literally the base of pretty much every martial art which incorporates striking, ever, across the planet It is literally the first martial art
The idea is to rotate the arm to the inside quick enough to impede the attacker from throwing the left hand punch. Although I would probably forego the arm rotation after the cross block and got straight to the elbow strike
Even if the people fighting are fictional, some of these techniques would not work! I don't see Wildcat (from DC) doing a punch from that range on an opponent!
😒 good. Glad you think so. You dont need to learn tai chi. I know yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. Defense wise. Its anatomy man. Joints, pressure points, tendons, muscles ect. So... Glaf you believe anatomy isn't real. Last thing we need is people getting hurt gah lol btw my art is my own

I love Toph when doing earthbending with praying mantis style kung fu
Hold up I thought she was doing a combination with tiger & crane style?
Earthbending style that all Earthbenders from Avatar use is based on Hung Gar Kung Fu (style with a lot of "tiger and crane stuff") but Toph's specific style of Earthending is based on Southern Praying Mantis (this is official info, not a theory).
Here a video of this art, look how the posture, footwork and arms movements are almost equal to those of Toph:

I'm taking notes for basic self defense. 🔥🔥🔥💀🐜
i really believe that you should look else where for self defense, this style is alot of counterattacks that require you to parry and block attacks at the same time allowing you grab their arm. Not claiming that none would work. only that they would be situational. this style has no protection in clinch or on floor. this wouldn't work in a street fight. most definingly a beginner in the style. maybe if you study the art for years and use others style. look up something else kid
As a practitioner of Mantis myself. That man has a good understanding of Jing. Tis good to see. Well taught.
Floats his foot well too. Would love to spar.
the blocks and some of the counters remind me of my hapkido training.
It doesnt take the foot out of the floor, which toph needs to see, and keeps hands up and every attack is meant to 'kill', which fits a blind person
Love this fighting technic i think its effective when you are bullied by older students at high school :D
Jake, do you ever have moments where the light bulb goes off in your brain and you think "I am the embodiment of everything Bruce Lee hated"?
Excellent Video! Could you make full forms of all the Southern Praying Mantis style. Thank you
Yes, I hope that too
You people that make fun of the Praying Mantis style, you should train its forms for a month, you won't be able to get out of bed =)

Not at all you cannot catch an arm if a fighter is punching at high speed, also it is hard to tell when and what is coming . Kung fu may seem cool but most techniques arent appliccable to any fight situations other than fighting old men. Mixed martial arts is the one martial art that will prevail.

@P M B You guys watch too much MMA! This stuff works, only if u r willing to practice it for years. Boxing and Muay Thai are just easier to learn.
Read this:
medium.com/martial-arts-unleashed/top-11-best-taekwondo-fighters-in-mma-ufc-history-c61c4640e421
It's usually the fighter's own fault for not executing the moves well enough, not because the techniques don't work.
Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/majFwZuxBLM/w-d-xo.html
Taekwondo isn't the best martial art, but their kicks are incredible! Even Tony Ferguson and Anderson Silva are learning Wing Chun.

But in the pass a fighter of karate only trained karate the sane for
Ju-jutsu , Thai boxing, kung-fu, Taekwondo etc ...

There is no stronger style. Is the person not the art. If you dont see that then you will never grow as a martial artist. And you might learn your whole body is a weapon. Elbows knees. Its used. My martial arts is my own. Honestly yours is too.
@@joshuaphillips4680 of course I agree with you on this ( it's the man that makes the art and not the other way around )
But those facts that I described that happened in Thailand between Choy Lee Fat kung-fu and Muy Boran (the ancient Muy Thai )
This really was art against art , like in the 1st UFC, that it was also art Vs art , because both fighters were only trained in their own arts , so it's was art vs art ...
I bellive shaolin kung fu is better
Excellent and very well explained 👌
Stopped disgracing all Chinese Martial Arts especially for people who's interested learning Wushu for begginers.
Jacke!!!! Hermoso video!!!!!!! Un crack el muchacho
es muy interesante ver la similitud de éste arte marcial con el karate Do. Con la utilización de las caderas y con los últimos bloqueos (Jordan age uke, chudan soto ude uke, gedan barai uke)
Trained in Ventura for a few years. I miss you OM 🙏
The hook block and hand turn I'd bs. Cannot catch a hook like that
Jake, you get a lot of hate; but you are very knowledgeable and skillful. Don't let the haters get you down. Even Bruce Lee was reviled in his younger days.
True.
This is hard to do in real fight i guess but i like the movement
Not if you train. Try tai chi yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. He mains white crane. Hes a grandmaster. Its anatomy. But i do it for an art. And its beautiful. Mine is my own. I creat my own style and still learning.
+Joshua Phillips I already know yang style :) I learned from Master Wong
Pretty cool. I like it to see how jake learns from others^^
Real tang lang learn from your friends not shaolin do
wtf is Shaolin Do? Sound mac dojo to me.
Thanks for updating
I got to the third technique before I started laughing my ass off, you want to cross parry a haymaker, rotate the arm and strike the liver with the same hand before a jab or a hook takes your head clean off … yeah … never going to happen, have any of these fools spent a day in a boxing ring before?
The key is to move fast enough to take the opponent can counter also boxing and martial arts are two separate forms of fighting
MouseTrap95 uhhhh.... IF you are faster than your opponent.
He is absolutely correct. That technique takes WAY to long
You are aware king fu/gung fu are....get this.... Chinese Boxing?
Basic boxing technique is the literally the base of pretty much every martial art which incorporates striking, ever, across the planet
It is literally the first martial art
The idea is to rotate the arm to the inside quick enough to impede the attacker from throwing the left hand punch. Although I would probably forego the arm rotation after the cross block and got straight to the elbow strike
Gran video. Me encanta este estilo de kung fu. Pero hay escuelas limitadas aquí en Australia que lo enseñan correctamente.
Even if the people fighting are fictional, some of these techniques would not work!
I don't see Wildcat (from DC) doing a punch from that range on an opponent!
Let's go! I'll be fighting Baki Hanma
Fake Mace, how are you?
No wonder David De Gea has been so shite last few seasons,, dude is out here practicing his mantis hahaha
Great video though.👍👍
I'm gonna learn these moves and send you my video in insta
Dev vyas Cool 😎☯️👍🏼
😒 good. Glad you think so. You dont need to learn tai chi. I know yang style. From Dr. Yang jwing ming. Defense wise. Its anatomy man. Joints, pressure points, tendons, muscles ect. So... Glaf you believe anatomy isn't real. Last thing we need is people getting hurt gah lol btw my art is my own
marco is really good !!!!
