My own Nitpick about Blight's Invasive Species cosmetic (the purple serum blight) is there is a green "untextured" area that has been left there since its initial release. 5:47 If you look at his torso at a certain angle, it can be shown clearly that Blight has bright green, somewhat untextured, bars going down his body.
My two biggest nitpicks rn: -The black bubble that shows up when someone gets hooked blocks your aura reading on the killer, especially when you're using Kindred -Sometime around the UE5 switch, Cheryl's Alessa Gillespie skin now has a weird brown hair ribbon instead of a red one like she used to :(
For me it's skill checks happening the second you leave a gen, it's frustrating especially since it could be easily fixed by making all skill checks linger like with Overcharge
People will say it's a cheap way to get around skill checks especially skill check doctor builds or something. But just make it so you can't progress the gen for a couple seconds like what happens with a failed skill check but without the regression. In 99% of cases people aren't going to get back on that gen in the next 5 seconds anyway and it massively slows down progression if you are trying to counter skill checks
Not being able to immediately heal after unhooking is a leftover thing from before everyone had basekit BT. It was basically just to stop someone from unhooking you and immediately healing you while in front of the Killer, as it would stop you from running for like half a second and possible eat up some of your Sprint Burst duration. I still think it has some niche cases regarding specific Killer powers, but it's a little too long IMO.
The Halloween event made me recognize one of the most annoying things they introduced: You cannot simply "click through" survivors and killers anymore, but have to click on the character window and then click on the character, then click on the loadout window and all in a row. It was a nightmare to click through all the survivors and killers for like 10 minutes just because I wanted to check who has Halloween offerings from last year (which are usable again). Give me my "character scrolling" back ffs.
I don't like how they don't bother modelling anything over the walls at the edges of the map, so looking over it or during the escape, you can very obviously see where the map ends like at least add a thick fog effect around the stage, or a bunch of trees or something
Honestly the Shrine of Secrets needs to just go and be replaced with something like Library of Secrets. It would just be an entire catalog of all perks in the game that players can get the perks they want at anytime they want instead of needing to wait an arbitrary amount of time just for a perk to show up once. Of course BHVR wouldn't do this because it would be useful and convenient and helpful for newer players getting into the game, because it might have a fraction of impact on their sales.
It would actually have a massive impact. There's a lot of killers people have no interest in but they got good perks. Being able to select the perks you want means you'd never have to worry about when it'll be available in the shrine which means youre only guaranteed way to get it is by buying the dlc for said perks

The grind in this game is already insane for beginners. You can pretty much never recommend it for people who aren't willing to buy DLCs, because they would be at a massive disadvantage with other players who buy. Even If you wanna argue you can have a meta build using only original character DLCs which can be grinded, it's still a massive ammount of grind just to make one build. In no other FREE TO PLAY game you have to grind this much, let alone other payed games. The Shrine of Secrets has to change, Because it's a massive issue.
My dumb nitpick is that with Trickster and Skull Merchant, they take a look at the pallet before kicking it Like, they glance down at the pallet before raising their foot to kick it BRUH WHAT IS THERE TO LOOK?!?! IT'S A PALLET!! DO YOUR JOB!!

Secret offerings should be... actually... SECRET. Like, they shouldn't show up AT ALL in the offering burning or the pause menu. At least not to the other team. A secret offering should just appear as if there simply wasn't an offering burnt in the first place. Only shown after the game is over, in the list of players, their perks, items, addons, etc.
Oh, and black/white ward should be secret. If you run black ward and the survivors see it, and, say, you're playing Myers- Survivors are going to know you're probably running double iri (or, at least just perma t3). They will know you're not going to be running a brown or a yellow or green add-on, if you're burning a black ward. Add-ons aren't shown to the other team during the game, so the offering that, if used, allows the other team to guess you're running your most valuable add-ons, is burned... It shouldn't be shown to the other team either. Same for white ward for consistency's sake.
nitpicks i got: - perks before the alien chapter still have their old description and flavor text formatting. would be nice if all of them got updated to look the part, but it's too low of a priority - pyramid head not sticking out it's metallic tongue when performing his mori on james sunderland
The hook sound in game is too loud, goes on for too long and the bubble showing you where the hooked survivor is also obscures your view of the killer if you're running aura perks
The main thing for me is that they now always do tomes and unique currencies for events, i much preferred when you had to interact with things in a trial and survive or kill survivors to get a random cosmetic
A major nitpick I have is with blood warden. It goes 30 seconds at tier one, then 40 seconds at tier two, and for tier three it just jumps to 60 seconds. Like, why not have the tier 2 be 45 seconds, that way it makes more sense with it going up by 15 seconds, than going up by 10 seconds and then 20 seconds
1. One nitpick I have for Rain is that neither her cosmetic description nor the post-game match scoreboard show her full name, which is Marie Raines "Rain" Carradine. They show Bill's full name but not hers? It's odd. 2. As for Pyramidhead, I really, really wish he had a proper head-nodding animation lol. When you try to do it he only does a strange movement with his free hand. Thank you for the video. ❤
7:58 I hear so many say they wanted Nurse to be just a nice person who snapped and the tome supposedly changed this. But from the start it was already hinted at in her base lore that she didn't kill them out of mercy there is a line that states "Finally she could not take it any more and concepts of purification emerged inside her". I don't know how you see it but killing people for purification doesn't seem very mercyful or like she pitied them after she snapped. The Nurse also wasn't always against the patients literally her first tome entry talks how she is nice to the little girl and that she saw the patients as fellow humans "They are humans and, sick as they may be, they deserve sympathy." The Tome then show you how more and more her mind gets warped and her opinion changes about them until she snaps and kills everyone. Personally I think that is pretty consistent.
I hate how we can’t pick killers we don’t own for custom games, like it’d be nice to test them out and see if we like them before having to purchase them
So many killer could have way better pallet break animations. We already have some really good ones, like Pinhead, but Billy, Bubba, Pyramid Head, Skull merchant even could all have really cool breaks but they just kick, like skull merchant could have a drone kamikaze the pallet or something, laser it, shoot a missile JUST SOMETHING to make the killer more interesting
I play clown alot and I noticed a few things that kinda annoy me more than they should about him. First on is he doesn't make a sound when breaking breakable walls (you know the sound he makes when throwing bottles, vaulting, kicking pallets gens etc) I also find it quite strange that he doesn't laugh when hitting a survivor while carrying another. Finally, ever since the unreal engine 5 update his arm kinda wiggles back and forth when holding a bottle Edit: ever since the mori perspective rework, clown cuts the finger with the spine of the knife now and it just looks wrong His lobby animation is smooth until he does the knife spin because fsr it looks funny and its not smooth
Fun fact, if you play on PC, as soon as you get hooked, double tap windows key and your character will instantly stop screaming, I use this all the time
Though it seems a lot of people think it's toxic, I hit survivors immediately after hooking them to stop the screaming. Especially ones like Laurie Strode and Nancy Wheeler that have ear shattering screams. Y'all remember PTB Élodie?

Surprised you didn't talk about dbd biggest problem (not really), removing the "previous" and "next" button while picking a survivor or killer, now if you wanna level every survivor once to get a rare offering or something you need to go back to the select screen then choose the survivor, absolutely annoying for me.
I think removing tier perks would let the developers create even more interesting perks, cause they wouldn't have to think about creating a % or CD or something like that for it to make sense to level it up. Like when they removed the CD from Any Means Necessary and had to find something else for it to be upgradeable, or when they add things that look so unnecessary like Light-Footed's CD. If perk desing wasn't tied to this, I think we would see some more creative perks.

I agree on alot of these points made here. I have been wondering for awhile if Myers is the only killer who power can just stop working all together in game. I know Freddy is a close second if you complete all the generators but he still has the other half of his power to work with, not being completely without. I assume they have Myers like this with the thought that an average game just wouldn't have this happen often enough for it to matter. Either you'd have won or the survivors escaped by the time you're totally out of stalk. Also are with the Iri hatchet. Ive always though those add ons for all killer in particular should be visual since they describe a glassy finish on most of them and it'd be cool to see, but then i assume they don't do this because it would be a visual giveaway to the add on selected, which eagle eyed survivors would notice right away. I guess also not all of these add on would be directly shown for it to matter. Like in Trickster's case. We never seen the Vinyl and the photocard is only seen in the Mori. Still I think it's be cool
My nitpick is since the last menu update you cant toggle through the characters while in the blood web. Like if I want to go from the Hillbillys web over to the Nurse i cant just click one button anymore. I now have to go from the blood web, to the character select screen, select the character, and then back to the blood web. It annoys me at how much more unnecissary time it takes now.
My biggest nitpick is how underwhelming daily rituals are, I wish they did something more with it or maybe added weekly rituals. To me it seems like this has a lot of potential.

My weirdest pet peeve is Dredge's weapon cosmetics. The War is Hell one specifically. I hate how the steel moves back and forth like his default weapon. It doesn't make sense. Steel shouldn't move like that. You can even see it on his crab claw skin.

If I had to give a nitpick, I’d say I’m annoyed by how add-ons and offerings aren’t universal. Like if I’m leveling up Quentin and I get stuff like a flashlight and an Escape Cake, then it’s only right that I also get to use that same flashlight and cake on someone like Dwight or Leon. Similarly if I’m leveling up Trickster and I get a Mori offering, it’s only right I also get to use it on someone like Freddy or Vecna. And while there aren’t too many instances of this happening, if it’s something that can be used by both a Killer and Survivor, I should be able to use it for both, like if I level up a Killer and get an RPD Badge offering, let me use it on Survivors too. At the very least, if they can’t make all the general add-ons and offerings universal, then they should at least do it for event add-ons and offerings.
My little nitpicks are how inconsistent the hit boxes are. I have a clip where I was running away from a Huntress as Alucard, she threw her axe, I went around a fence and the thing hit me when I know that axe was at least 5 feet away from me. It didn't even touch my big ass cape
Nemesis' vial has the same issue as healing. It has a weird delay *opening* the chest. I'm really surprised you didn't mention chat. The random, clean words that pop up as ####. Meanwhile, Chucky and even perks, like for Freddy, have profanity.
I would love a hat for Victor. It makes him more visible if anything. I know there aren't a lot of Twins players, and those of us that do, put a lot of time in them- but it would be a flex on the really good players of giving the homicidal gremlin a giant hat that can be seen over terrain!
Luck could really affect everything else except unhooking chance. Luck could increase item rarity from chest, luck could make skillchecks easier by moving the check further from start with a chance or completely replace bad check position with better one once your luck procs. Luck can be even made into separate mechanic that can remove some negative effects on certain conditions. Like with enough luck you start repairing a gen and your exhaustion is immediately removed, it could be any condition and any mechanic to be fair, but make it rare so it's literally luck.
AHZYMOVS I want you to know that I will never forgive you. The other day I went against you while you were playing as Unknown. I was playing as Alan Wake in his “classic” outfit. I had a challenge to complete a gen and I got my gen in the main building to 99.99% but you grabbed me last second. This minor inconvenience led to me slamming my desk in pure unadulterated hatred. I still love you really though.
You used to be able to see how many cosmetics a character had in the store. For example it would show that Meg has 110/140 cosmetics. If you owned everything the numbers would turn gold/yellow.
If whiskeys had a line for seven minutes past logically, it would probably be “ this is taking too long” or “ you’re wasting my time” but I think it would be really funny to hear him yell “ goddamnit”
They need to remove the "fish eye" effect when people are hooked. If they don't remove it entirely, at least remove it when you are within 32 meters. It blocks the screen for a few seconds and you can't see where the killer is.
The inconsistancy comes from the differences in killer power Iridescent Add Ons change something drastic about the killer they belong to and changes how you play them whereas lesser rarities only add a general efficienct value Example: Iridescent Tuft of hair will make it so you arent a stalk killer anymore since T3 is unstoppable, Iridescent Waterlogged Shoe makes you a descent loop killer meaning you wont rely on trap placement to win chases quickly besides the fact it removes the main feature of default hag, Coxcom Clapper removes the warning survivors would normally get from an uncloaking wraith thus making him alot sneakier and the potential for grabs and sneak attacks much better Whereas for add ons like Map of the Realm, Philly, and Trapper Gloves they increase something about your power you use constantly by a nice amount but not changing anything about it or the killer overal
My slight nitpick is last anniversary event when I wanted to take screenshots of the chapel since it gets the makeover for anniversaries, the chapel makeover didn't show up in custom game since it wasn't in the custom anniversary game mode section thing they use for events where you can choose if you want to play normal game or event game.
My nitpick: -Same bad daily challenges like i skip daily for hag and i get a nurse next day i skip nurse and get hag -Auto blood web randomly decides to buy every single purple key addon
My biggest one is how there is literally nothing outside the play space of the trials. They still have not bothered to model some landscape out of bounds

I wish you would've mentioned how lazy the developers have become with writing the small descriptions for each character and their respective perks over the years. For example, The Oni's description is written as the following: "A monstrous Killer, able to absorb the blood energy of his injured foes, and then use that energy to transform into a brutal demon. Using his power, Yamaoka's Wrath, he can rush down Survivors at great speed and deal deadly strikes with his Kanabō. His personal Perks, Zanshin Tactics, Blood Echo, and Nemesis provide navigational information, punish injured Survivors, and gain advantages over those that interfere." And then The Unknown is just: "A being beyond understanding, though many have tried. Its personal perks, Unbound, Unforeseen, and Undone allow it to move quicker, put its Terror Radius on a Generator, and deplete Repair progress." They don't even mention the Killer's power anymore for crying out loud! This is just blatant inconsistency, which, after watching your video, has caused me to realize that inconsistency is a huge problem in Dead by Daylight as a whole.
A nitpick I have is when you’re right next to a pallet just waiting for the killer chasing you to come around to stun them, and for some reason you can’t throw it down if they just are just a little too far into the pallet. Like even if it breaks on them doing that, that’s fine it’s just so silly to me that a survivor can’t pull a pallet down on a killer who’s “too far” into the pallet space
I agree with quite a lot of these, and to further expand the Myers power dilhemma, I also hate how his achievement (Not Evil Incarnate) The Man Behind The Bush require 300 tier increases, but you can only get a max of 6 per match without add-ons, 5 with speed add-ons and 1-2 with actual good add-ons. I did the math and it's a solid 18 hours session, not including load times and longer than 15 minutes matches, so probably closer to 20 hours, of just pure Michael gameplay in the most boring way possible
3 Crow Perks Artist Could’ve Had: Scourge Of The Shadows: Whenever a survivor startles a crow, gain a token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. For each token, your terror radius decreases by 4 meters. When a survivor loses a health state by any means, for each token, the closest survivor(s) will scream, with more tokens causing more survivors to scream, and all tokens will be lost. Hex:The Carrion Coven: A hex that binds its user to the fog’s entities within a dark coven, to get their fill, these beasts must aid the hand that feeds them. When a survivor is hit with a basic attack for the first time, a random dull totem will become a hex totem. So long as a corresponding totem persists, basic attacks will call a crow to harass the struck survivor, cawing 1/2/3 times before leaving. Each time the crow caws, all crow-startling perks are triggered. Scourge Hook: Dark Spectators: The crows of the fog are more than eager to witness the sacrifice of a survivor. When a survivor is hooked on a scourge hook, a crow will stand on the top of the hook. This crow is unable to be startled. When a survivor unhooks the hooked survivor, the affected survivor will be followed by a crow until they perform a conspicuous action. After performing a conspicuous action, the crow that is stalking them will become startled and cause the survivor to scream, as well as becoming afflicted with 40% Hindered for 6/7/8 seconds.
Regarding the Nurse lore inconsistency, I could be wrong but the tome her Archive lore was in was Divergence, which iirc was about alternate timelines (what with the trailer having all the alternate Yuis) so that would explain the inconsistency. I just wish it were, like, more obviously an AU or more consistent with the Nurse as we know her, it feels like a weird middle road where things are different but not different enough.
Unhooking prompt not showing immediately is because of 1.5s damage immunity to unhooked survivor. It was added years ago to combat facecamping, when killer could stand right behind hooked person and unhooking angle was right infront of hook, so killer could just slap unhooked survivor right on the ground immediately.
For me, I'd like to select a preference in the auto bloodweb. It's just annoying to see the auto feature go for something like a luck increase or map offering(which I never use) while ignoring blood points and flashlights. And probably the worst thing is the "bubble" that shows up when someone is hooked. I get it should indicate where they are hooked but 9 out of 10 times i cant see the killer coming towards me because of it.
My personal nitpicks: 1. Character descriptions from Haddie/Dredge up to the current ones (Trevor/Dracula) seem to just tell you outright what their perks and powers can do. For example, Jill's description says her perks "allow her to indirectly fight back, while offering strong support to her teammates." Dracula's description says his perks "allow him to slow the Repair speed of the Obsession, reveal the Auras of unopened Chests and nearby Survivors, and temporarily block Chests and Totems." I know it gets tough to summarize their characters in a short sentence, but the new descriptions lack the charm and pizzazz the old ones had. 2. Short hook screams. I know this is contentious, so it could be an option, but I very much prefer survivor hook screams to play out in full. It adds to the atmosphere of the game, and cutting some of the screams short really undermines some of the VAs insane talent. One of Cybil's screams is cut short, making it sound quite goofy, but the full scream sounds so much more like a scream
I have one recent nitpick, they changed one of Fengs cosmetics (blue checked skirt with ripped tights). Now the tights are completly gone and it looks terrible, i bought the skirt mostly bc of these and still not sure if its a bug or intended - if they change cosmetics they should announce it and give the chance to get a compensation when you don't like the new version 😅 It's nitpicking bc of the amount of cosmetics, especially for characters like Feng who have a ton but it really bothers me. Overall the new character menu is so annoying. I get they wanted to it to look more like the shop, but it was way better before. Maybe i dislike it bc i play on console, but it feels like too much extra steps just to see or change cosmetics. And you can't scroll/switch through characters anymore, thats really annoying 😅
the sound that gets made whenever a survivor is sacrificed and lifted by the entity is way too loud and goes on for too long. i always feel like i can’t hear the terror radius while the sound is playing
@ryseterion insta heals, in the sense of styptic agent. I called it instal heal because it used to instanlty heal very long ago, but you get what I mean
I believe it's a part of damage immunity, like a side effect when survivor is not considered to be a survivor, it has same duration as damage immunity too.
my nitpick have been the same since their release: the "L E G I O N" who was marketed with 4 different killers forming a group are alone on the map, i guess it was understandable at the time since multiple killer on the map seemed impossible back then, but we got nemesis with his minions, knight with his crusade crew, charlotte and her baby and houndmaster with her dogo now, so the literal legion still being alone anoys me very much
One thing that annoys me in regards to the iridescent add-ons and their inconsistencies, is when a killer's 2 iridescent add-ons completely counteract each other to where the killer gains ultimately no benefit from them, or worse they become weaker. This gets compounded on by the few killers where running both of their iridescents makes them far more dangerous than with just one of them. For example, the Nurse. If you run both of her iridescents, while yes you get a boost to speed, you end up with 1 blink that has a longer cooldown as a result, with the main benefit of the Torn Bookmark (the additional blink) being lost due to the Matchbox restricting it to 1, and not allowing other add-ons to affect it. Yet other killers like Huntress or Myers, while they do have a downside to them in some way (the single hatchet for huntress and longer time to reach T3 for Myers, with the speed decrease able to be countered by certain perks, including his own PWYF), they don't lose any of the benefits of either add-on when running both, and can be far more lethal with them.
Hags was a nerf to her character ages ago. My first main was her and back in the day you could move instantly. They changed it now that you have to take a moment to adjust because insta traps were pretty broken *And honestly super fun and made learning good set up and "webbing" fun*
3:15 killer bots aren’t in the game yet (I’ve tested this digging into the dev files) because they track you too well. Basically how survivor bots in customs can almost still insta-blind you it’s vice versa for custom killer bots. Blinding them does absolutely nothing unless it’s for a save on a teammate, they can still track you superbly through the blind duration. They also insta break pallets, don’t mind game at all, etc. All in all, in short form, picture what it’s like right now for survivor bots in customs but as a killer: blinds do basically nothing, infinite tracking so it’s really hard to lose them unless you go down, no mind games, etc. The only good thing about the killer bots right now is that, just like in the tutorial, they’ll swing a lot and most of the time won’t hit you as it’s programmed that way. They’re also easily spin able.
One of mine is that when you search up a perk then switch to a new character the search bar resets like I want to see who has tier three of whatever perk im looking for
As annoying as the waiting a second after unhook to heal, I get it, it's to avoid the possibility of panic tapping again and beginning the heal by accident and taking away their unhook safety.
for 6:07, in RE5 he says "playtime is over" after 7 minutes passes in his bossfight, and this line is actually in dbd, but only for when he gets a down or a dash hit, maybe they shouldve reserved that line for when 7 minutes actually passes ingame 😂
My nitpick is that we can't customise the colour of the outfits on the store before we buy them, there are so many cool outfits that have a good design but the colours are terrible and I wish we could choose the colour of the outfit we buy.. I know they do this so they can put recolours on the rift but still.
My biggest nitpick is that characters whose power makes them move forward, like blight, wesker, and knight won’t let you use your power if you’re too close to a piece of geometry. I understand this is to avoid bugs but it feels awful to be pressing your ability but nothing happens
My one achievement nitpick is Taking One For The Team, 250 unsafe unhooks is ALOT and it makes you play very un-optimally for a long time to actually get 250 of them
Imo make the total amount of stalk Myers can get per survivor increase based on 2 factors... gens completed or hook states, it would make getting multiple tier 3 activations harder early game but hopefully unchanged mid to late game. Make it so tombstone is basekit but can only performed on a downed survivor who is death hook
There is an option to leave a thumb up for player in the endgame screen. And this option is usless, because player has no way to know they resieve a thumb up Also I hate how we have offerings that take us tp spesific realm, but there are two exeptions: Leaf takes you to Toba and airblock doors takes you to Nostromo, even if this maps exist in the same Dvarka Deepwood realm. You could argue that because Nostromo is a license, but we have Beef Tallow Mixture that takes you both to Knight's and Vecna's maps
I wish we could look at the killer’s weapon models a bit closer for buying cosmetic because some characters just don’t have their weapon on display. Also I wish we could see Oni’s blood form in choosing cosmetics as a button instead of waiting for him to scream 🙃
Also another, I wish there was some sort of Final Girl-esque buff when you’re the last survivor since the killer gets access to mori you and it’s unlikely a sole survivor can escape without hatch, it’d be cool to play into the final girl/guy trope, just something that feels like one last chance to fight back
@@theopendoorev Yeah the Finisher Mori system is strictly for Killers though, I'm suggesting a buff for the last survivor in the match inspired by the Final Girl trope in horror since it's pretty hard to survive solo in DBD
my nitpick is why aren't survivors and killers by default sorted by prestige level in the character select page... or at least give me the option to permanently pin my most used characters to the top of the page cus I'm tired of looking for them every time
Birkin should actually have green and blue for G and T since he uses the G on himself and destroys the samples for T which led to the Raccoon City Incident. I think the reason Ada has her RE2 outfits is to match with Leon's default. But she honestly should have had her RE4R outfit added to the game after the release of the game. Her RE4R outfit is awesome!
I’m surprised no one’s been mentioning the killer lobby bug where during that last couple of seconds in the countdown the killer shifts to sink further into the ground
Love it when i run saboteur, unhook a survivor, try to heal them and OOPS NO SABOTAGE FOR THE NEXT MINUTE. I wish it entered cooldown on a successful attempt or just make the prompt appear instantly
My biggest nitpick right now is objects like totems, and the pumpkins right now, spawning right next to a windows or pallet. Taking a hit because you went to throw a pallet and started kicking a pumpkin you didn't see next to it is really annoying.
it's an entirely different button for dropping a pallet/vaulting than kicking a pumpkin, how the fuck are you kicking a pumpkin instead of dropping a pallet or vaulting?
Maybe luck can randomly increase great skill check size, or make a good skill check count as a great skill check randomly. Or just increase rarity from chests. Idk

My own Nitpick about Blight's Invasive Species cosmetic (the purple serum blight) is there is a green "untextured" area that has been left there since its initial release. 5:47 If you look at his torso at a certain angle, it can be shown clearly that Blight has bright green, somewhat untextured, bars going down his body.

For me it's skill checks happening the second you leave a gen, it's frustrating especially since it could be easily fixed by making all skill checks linger like with Overcharge
People will say it's a cheap way to get around skill checks especially skill check doctor builds or something. But just make it so you can't progress the gen for a couple seconds like what happens with a failed skill check but without the regression. In 99% of cases people aren't going to get back on that gen in the next 5 seconds anyway and it massively slows down progression if you are trying to counter skill checks

Not being able to immediately heal after unhooking is a leftover thing from before everyone had basekit BT. It was basically just to stop someone from unhooking you and immediately healing you while in front of the Killer, as it would stop you from running for like half a second and possible eat up some of your Sprint Burst duration. I still think it has some niche cases regarding specific Killer powers, but it's a little too long IMO.
The Halloween event made me recognize one of the most annoying things they introduced: You cannot simply "click through" survivors and killers anymore, but have to click on the character window and then click on the character, then click on the loadout window and all in a row.
It was a nightmare to click through all the survivors and killers for like 10 minutes just because I wanted to check who has Halloween offerings from last year (which are usable again).
Give me my "character scrolling" back ffs.
I don't like how they don't bother modelling anything over the walls at the edges of the map, so looking over it or during the escape, you can very obviously see where the map ends
like at least add a thick fog effect around the stage, or a bunch of trees or something
Honestly the Shrine of Secrets needs to just go and be replaced with something like Library of Secrets. It would just be an entire catalog of all perks in the game that players can get the perks they want at anytime they want instead of needing to wait an arbitrary amount of time just for a perk to show up once. Of course BHVR wouldn't do this because it would be useful and convenient and helpful for newer players getting into the game, because it might have a fraction of impact on their sales.
It would actually have a massive impact. There's a lot of killers people have no interest in but they got good perks.
Being able to select the perks you want means you'd never have to worry about when it'll be available in the shrine which means youre only guaranteed way to get it is by buying the dlc for said perks

The grind in this game is already insane for beginners. You can pretty much never recommend it for people who aren't willing to buy DLCs, because they would be at a massive disadvantage with other players who buy. Even If you wanna argue you can have a meta build using only original character DLCs which can be grinded, it's still a massive ammount of grind just to make one build. In no other FREE TO PLAY game you have to grind this much, let alone other payed games. The Shrine of Secrets has to change, Because it's a massive issue.

Secret offerings should be... actually... SECRET. Like, they shouldn't show up AT ALL in the offering burning or the pause menu. At least not to the other team. A secret offering should just appear as if there simply wasn't an offering burnt in the first place. Only shown after the game is over, in the list of players, their perks, items, addons, etc.
Oh, and black/white ward should be secret. If you run black ward and the survivors see it, and, say, you're playing Myers- Survivors are going to know you're probably running double iri (or, at least just perma t3).
They will know you're not going to be running a brown or a yellow or green add-on, if you're burning a black ward.
Add-ons aren't shown to the other team during the game, so the offering that, if used, allows the other team to guess you're running your most valuable add-ons, is burned... It shouldn't be shown to the other team either.
Same for white ward for consistency's sake.

- perks before the alien chapter still have their old description and flavor text formatting. would be nice if all of them got updated to look the part, but it's too low of a priority

The hook sound in game is too loud, goes on for too long and the bubble showing you where the hooked survivor is also obscures your view of the killer if you're running aura perks
The main thing for me is that they now always do tomes and unique currencies for events, i much preferred when you had to interact with things in a trial and survive or kill survivors to get a random cosmetic
A major nitpick I have is with blood warden.
It goes 30 seconds at tier one, then 40 seconds at tier two, and for tier three it just jumps to 60 seconds.
Like, why not have the tier 2 be 45 seconds, that way it makes more sense with it going up by 15 seconds, than going up by 10 seconds and then 20 seconds
Nothings more annoying tho when you’re about get off a gen and it gives you a skill check, wish they fixed that 😭
1. One nitpick I have for Rain is that neither her cosmetic description nor the post-game match scoreboard show her full name, which is Marie Raines "Rain" Carradine. They show Bill's full name but not hers? It's odd.

I hear so many say they wanted Nurse to be just a nice person who snapped and the tome supposedly changed this.
But from the start it was already hinted at in her base lore that she didn't kill them out of mercy there is a line that states "Finally she could not take it any more and concepts of purification emerged inside her". I don't know how you see it but killing people for purification doesn't seem very mercyful or like she pitied them after she snapped.
The Nurse also wasn't always against the patients literally her first tome entry talks how she is nice to the little girl and that she saw the patients as fellow humans "They are humans and, sick as they may be, they deserve sympathy."
The Tome then show you how more and more her mind gets warped and her opinion changes about them until she snaps and kills everyone.
Personally I think that is pretty consistent.
I hate how we can’t pick killers we don’t own for custom games, like it’d be nice to test them out and see if we like them before having to purchase them
So many killer could have way better pallet break animations. We already have some really good ones, like Pinhead, but Billy, Bubba, Pyramid Head, Skull merchant even could all have really cool breaks but they just kick, like skull merchant could have a drone kamikaze the pallet or something, laser it, shoot a missile JUST SOMETHING to make the killer more interesting

I play clown alot and I noticed a few things that kinda annoy me more than they should about him. First on is he doesn't make a sound when breaking breakable walls (you know the sound he makes when throwing bottles, vaulting, kicking pallets gens etc)
I also find it quite strange that he doesn't laugh when hitting a survivor while carrying another.
Finally, ever since the unreal engine 5 update his arm kinda wiggles back and forth when holding a bottle

Survivor screams on hook are WAY TOO LOUD. Sound is far too important in this game for them to be screaming in my ears with every hook.
Fun fact, if you play on PC, as soon as you get hooked, double tap windows key and your character will instantly stop screaming, I use this all the time
Though it seems a lot of people think it's toxic, I hit survivors immediately after hooking them to stop the screaming. Especially ones like Laurie Strode and Nancy Wheeler that have ear shattering screams. Y'all remember PTB Élodie?

I think removing tier perks would let the developers create even more interesting perks, cause they wouldn't have to think about creating a % or CD or something like that for it to make sense to level it up. Like when they removed the CD from Any Means Necessary and had to find something else for it to be upgradeable, or when they add things that look so unnecessary like Light-Footed's CD. If perk desing wasn't tied to this, I think we would see some more creative perks.

I agree on alot of these points made here. I have been wondering for awhile if Myers is the only killer who power can just stop working all together in game. I know Freddy is a close second if you complete all the generators but he still has the other half of his power to work with, not being completely without. I assume they have Myers like this with the thought that an average game just wouldn't have this happen often enough for it to matter. Either you'd have won or the survivors escaped by the time you're totally out of stalk. Also are with the Iri hatchet. Ive always though those add ons for all killer in particular should be visual since they describe a glassy finish on most of them and it'd be cool to see, but then i assume they don't do this because it would be a visual giveaway to the add on selected, which eagle eyed survivors would notice right away. I guess also not all of these add on would be directly shown for it to matter. Like in Trickster's case. We never seen the Vinyl and the photocard is only seen in the Mori. Still I think it's be cool
My nitpick is since the last menu update you cant toggle through the characters while in the blood web. Like if I want to go from the Hillbillys web over to the Nurse i cant just click one button anymore. I now have to go from the blood web, to the character select screen, select the character, and then back to the blood web. It annoys me at how much more unnecissary time it takes now.
The fact that you can’t view the separate pieces for cosmetic sets in the Collections menu. Like, why? It is so frustrating.

If I had to give a nitpick, I’d say I’m annoyed by how add-ons and offerings aren’t universal.
Like if I’m leveling up Quentin and I get stuff like a flashlight and an Escape Cake, then it’s only right that I also get to use that same flashlight and cake on someone like Dwight or Leon. Similarly if I’m leveling up Trickster and I get a Mori offering, it’s only right I also get to use it on someone like Freddy or Vecna. And while there aren’t too many instances of this happening, if it’s something that can be used by both a Killer and Survivor, I should be able to use it for both, like if I level up a Killer and get an RPD Badge offering, let me use it on Survivors too.
At the very least, if they can’t make all the general add-ons and offerings universal, then they should at least do it for event add-ons and offerings.
My little nitpicks are how inconsistent the hit boxes are. I have a clip where I was running away from a Huntress as Alucard, she threw her axe, I went around a fence and the thing hit me when I know that axe was at least 5 feet away from me. It didn't even touch my big ass cape
thats a ping problem not a hitbox problem. that huntress was probably playing from antarctica or something
Nemesis' vial has the same issue as healing. It has a weird delay *opening* the chest.
I'm really surprised you didn't mention chat. The random, clean words that pop up as ####. Meanwhile, Chucky and even perks, like for Freddy, have profanity.

I know there aren't a lot of Twins players, and those of us that do, put a lot of time in them- but it would be a flex on the really good players of giving the homicidal gremlin a giant hat that can be seen over terrain!
Luck could really affect everything else except unhooking chance. Luck could increase item rarity from chest, luck could make skillchecks easier by moving the check further from start with a chance or completely replace bad check position with better one once your luck procs. Luck can be even made into separate mechanic that can remove some negative effects on certain conditions. Like with enough luck you start repairing a gen and your exhaustion is immediately removed, it could be any condition and any mechanic to be fair, but make it rare so it's literally luck.

You used to be able to see how many cosmetics a character had in the store. For example it would show that Meg has 110/140 cosmetics. If you owned everything the numbers would turn gold/yellow.
One thing that always bothers me is I wish there was more lore about the Entity's realms, and the stuff and forgotten places and lost souls in it
If whiskeys had a line for seven minutes past logically, it would probably be “ this is taking too long” or “ you’re wasting my time” but I think it would be really funny to hear him yell “ goddamnit”
They need to remove the "fish eye" effect when people are hooked. If they don't remove it entirely, at least remove it when you are within 32 meters. It blocks the screen for a few seconds and you can't see where the killer is.
If the unhooked person immediately starts "running" you can start the healing faster. Same goes for opening chests. Animation cancels exist.
The inconsistancy comes from the differences in killer power
Iridescent Add Ons change something drastic about the killer they belong to and changes how you play them whereas lesser rarities only add a general efficienct value
Example:
Iridescent Tuft of hair will make it so you arent a stalk killer anymore since T3 is unstoppable,
Iridescent Waterlogged Shoe makes you a descent loop killer meaning you wont rely on trap placement to win chases quickly besides the fact it removes the main feature of default hag,
Coxcom Clapper removes the warning survivors would normally get from an uncloaking wraith thus making him alot sneakier and the potential for grabs and sneak attacks much better
Whereas for add ons like Map of the Realm, Philly, and Trapper Gloves they increase something about your power you use constantly by a nice amount but not changing anything about it or the killer overal
My slight nitpick is last anniversary event when I wanted to take screenshots of the chapel since it gets the makeover for anniversaries, the chapel makeover didn't show up in custom game since it wasn't in the custom anniversary game mode section thing they use for events where you can choose if you want to play normal game or event game.
Biggest nitpick I've got is you can't try out killers you don't own yet in custom games, you can use all the perks but not all the characters

I wish you would've mentioned how lazy the developers have become with writing the small descriptions for each character and their respective perks over the years. For example, The Oni's description is written as the following:
"A monstrous Killer, able to absorb the blood energy of his injured foes, and then use that energy to transform into a brutal demon. Using his power, Yamaoka's Wrath, he can rush down Survivors at great speed and deal deadly strikes with his Kanabō.
His personal Perks, Zanshin Tactics, Blood Echo, and Nemesis provide navigational information, punish injured Survivors, and gain advantages over those that interfere."
And then The Unknown is just:
"A being beyond understanding, though many have tried.
Its personal perks, Unbound, Unforeseen, and Undone allow it to move quicker, put its Terror Radius on a Generator, and deplete Repair progress."
They don't even mention the Killer's power anymore for crying out loud! This is just blatant inconsistency, which, after watching your video, has caused me to realize that inconsistency is a huge problem in Dead by Daylight as a whole.
A nitpick I have is when you’re right next to a pallet just waiting for the killer chasing you to come around to stun them, and for some reason you can’t throw it down if they just are just a little too far into the pallet.
Like even if it breaks on them doing that, that’s fine it’s just so silly to me that a survivor can’t pull a pallet down on a killer who’s “too far” into the pallet space
I agree with quite a lot of these, and to further expand the Myers power dilhemma, I also hate how his achievement (Not Evil Incarnate) The Man Behind The Bush require 300 tier increases, but you can only get a max of 6 per match without add-ons, 5 with speed add-ons and 1-2 with actual good add-ons. I did the math and it's a solid 18 hours session, not including load times and longer than 15 minutes matches, so probably closer to 20 hours, of just pure Michael gameplay in the most boring way possible

Whenever a survivor startles a crow, gain a token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens.
For each token, your terror radius decreases by 4 meters.
When a survivor loses a health state by any means, for each token, the closest survivor(s) will scream, with more tokens causing more survivors to scream, and all tokens will be lost.
Hex:The Carrion Coven:
A hex that binds its user to the fog’s entities within a dark coven, to get their fill, these beasts must aid the hand that feeds them.
When a survivor is hit with a basic attack for the first time, a random dull totem will become a hex totem.
So long as a corresponding totem persists, basic attacks will call a crow to harass the struck survivor, cawing 1/2/3 times before leaving.
Each time the crow caws, all crow-startling perks are triggered.
Scourge Hook: Dark Spectators:
The crows of the fog are more than eager to witness the sacrifice of a survivor.
When a survivor is hooked on a scourge hook, a crow will stand on the top of the hook. This crow is unable to be startled.
When a survivor unhooks the hooked survivor, the affected survivor will be followed by a crow until they perform a conspicuous action.
After performing a conspicuous action, the crow that is stalking them will become startled and cause the survivor to scream, as well as becoming afflicted with 40% Hindered for 6/7/8 seconds.
Regarding the Nurse lore inconsistency, I could be wrong but the tome her Archive lore was in was Divergence, which iirc was about alternate timelines (what with the trailer having all the alternate Yuis) so that would explain the inconsistency. I just wish it were, like, more obviously an AU or more consistent with the Nurse as we know her, it feels like a weird middle road where things are different but not different enough.
Unhooking prompt not showing immediately is because of 1.5s damage immunity to unhooked survivor. It was added years ago to combat facecamping, when killer could stand right behind hooked person and unhooking angle was right infront of hook, so killer could just slap unhooked survivor right on the ground immediately.
For me, I'd like to select a preference in the auto bloodweb. It's just annoying to see the auto feature go for something like a luck increase or map offering(which I never use) while ignoring blood points and flashlights. And probably the worst thing is the "bubble" that shows up when someone is hooked. I get it should indicate where they are hooked but 9 out of 10 times i cant see the killer coming towards me because of it.
My personal nitpicks:
1. Character descriptions from Haddie/Dredge up to the current ones (Trevor/Dracula) seem to just tell you outright what their perks and powers can do. For example, Jill's description says her perks "allow her to indirectly fight back, while offering strong support to her teammates."
Dracula's description says his perks "allow him to slow the Repair speed of the Obsession, reveal the Auras of unopened Chests and nearby Survivors, and temporarily block Chests and Totems."
I know it gets tough to summarize their characters in a short sentence, but the new descriptions lack the charm and pizzazz the old ones had.
2. Short hook screams. I know this is contentious, so it could be an option, but I very much prefer survivor hook screams to play out in full. It adds to the atmosphere of the game, and cutting some of the screams short really undermines some of the VAs insane talent. One of Cybil's screams is cut short, making it sound quite goofy, but the full scream sounds so much more like a scream
I have one recent nitpick, they changed one of Fengs cosmetics (blue checked skirt with ripped tights). Now the tights are completly gone and it looks terrible, i bought the skirt mostly bc of these and still not sure if its a bug or intended - if they change cosmetics they should announce it and give the chance to get a compensation when you don't like the new version 😅 It's nitpicking bc of the amount of cosmetics, especially for characters like Feng who have a ton but it really bothers me.
Overall the new character menu is so annoying. I get they wanted to it to look more like the shop, but it was way better before. Maybe i dislike it bc i play on console, but it feels like too much extra steps just to see or change cosmetics. And you can't scroll/switch through characters anymore, thats really annoying 😅
the sound that gets made whenever a survivor is sacrificed and lifted by the entity is way too loud and goes on for too long. i always feel like i can’t hear the terror radius while the sound is playing

I believe it's a part of damage immunity, like a side effect when survivor is not considered to be a survivor, it has same duration as damage immunity too.
Wesker finishing the trial under 7 minutes should be one of those very rare achievements
my nitpick have been the same since their release: the "L E G I O N" who was marketed with 4 different killers forming a group are alone on the map, i guess it was understandable at the time since multiple killer on the map seemed impossible back then, but we got nemesis with his minions, knight with his crusade crew, charlotte and her baby and houndmaster with her dogo now, so the literal legion still being alone anoys me very much
One thing that annoys me in regards to the iridescent add-ons and their inconsistencies, is when a killer's 2 iridescent add-ons completely counteract each other to where the killer gains ultimately no benefit from them, or worse they become weaker. This gets compounded on by the few killers where running both of their iridescents makes them far more dangerous than with just one of them.
For example, the Nurse. If you run both of her iridescents, while yes you get a boost to speed, you end up with 1 blink that has a longer cooldown as a result, with the main benefit of the Torn Bookmark (the additional blink) being lost due to the Matchbox restricting it to 1, and not allowing other add-ons to affect it.
Yet other killers like Huntress or Myers, while they do have a downside to them in some way (the single hatchet for huntress and longer time to reach T3 for Myers, with the speed decrease able to be countered by certain perks, including his own PWYF), they don't lose any of the benefits of either add-on when running both, and can be far more lethal with them.
Hags was a nerf to her character ages ago. My first main was her and back in the day you could move instantly. They changed it now that you have to take a moment to adjust because insta traps were pretty broken *And honestly super fun and made learning good set up and "webbing" fun*
3:15 killer bots aren’t in the game yet (I’ve tested this digging into the dev files) because they track you too well. Basically how survivor bots in customs can almost still insta-blind you it’s vice versa for custom killer bots. Blinding them does absolutely nothing unless it’s for a save on a teammate, they can still track you superbly through the blind duration. They also insta break pallets, don’t mind game at all, etc.
All in all, in short form, picture what it’s like right now for survivor bots in customs but as a killer: blinds do basically nothing, infinite tracking so it’s really hard to lose them unless you go down, no mind games, etc. The only good thing about the killer bots right now is that, just like in the tutorial, they’ll swing a lot and most of the time won’t hit you as it’s programmed that way. They’re also easily spin able.
They already fixed that flashlight problem with killer bots in the last patch or something like that
The achievements that require 1000 hits with something or 500 power usages just feels tedious rather than actually accomplishing something.
One of mine is that when you search up a perk then switch to a new character the search bar resets like I want to see who has tier three of whatever perk im looking for
As annoying as the waiting a second after unhook to heal, I get it, it's to avoid the possibility of panic tapping again and beginning the heal by accident and taking away their unhook safety.
for 6:07, in RE5 he says "playtime is over" after 7 minutes passes in his bossfight, and this line is actually in dbd, but only for when he gets a down or a dash hit, maybe they shouldve reserved that line for when 7 minutes actually passes ingame 😂
10:23 the rocks aren't covered by the fog, the tile just despawn to respawn in front of the killer
My nitpick is that we can't customise the colour of the outfits on the store before we buy them, there are so many cool outfits that have a good design but the colours are terrible and I wish we could choose the colour of the outfit we buy..
I know they do this so they can put recolours on the rift but still.
My biggest nitpick is that characters whose power makes them move forward, like blight, wesker, and knight won’t let you use your power if you’re too close to a piece of geometry. I understand this is to avoid bugs but it feels awful to be pressing your ability but nothing happens
I want a lore explanation for where my characters are storing 300 Medkits, 200 jars of lips, 1000 blueprints. Does everyone get a storage unit??
Brown, Yellow, and most of the green bloodpoint offerings are useless. I wish they were removed so we could get more addons and items.
My one achievement nitpick is Taking One For The Team, 250 unsafe unhooks is ALOT and it makes you play very un-optimally for a long time to actually get 250 of them
Imo make the total amount of stalk Myers can get per survivor increase based on 2 factors... gens completed or hook states, it would make getting multiple tier 3 activations harder early game but hopefully unchanged mid to late game. Make it so tombstone is basekit but can only performed on a downed survivor who is death hook
There is an option to leave a thumb up for player in the endgame screen. And this option is usless, because player has no way to know they resieve a thumb up
Also I hate how we have offerings that take us tp spesific realm, but there are two exeptions: Leaf takes you to Toba and airblock doors takes you to Nostromo, even if this maps exist in the same Dvarka Deepwood realm. You could argue that because Nostromo is a license, but we have Beef Tallow Mixture that takes you both to Knight's and Vecna's maps
I wish we could look at the killer’s weapon models a bit closer for buying cosmetic because some characters just don’t have their weapon on display. Also I wish we could see Oni’s blood form in choosing cosmetics as a button instead of waiting for him to scream 🙃
Also another, I wish there was some sort of Final Girl-esque buff when you’re the last survivor since the killer gets access to mori you and it’s unlikely a sole survivor can escape without hatch, it’d be cool to play into the final girl/guy trope, just something that feels like one last chance to fight back

I think the reason Ada has her RE2 outfits is to match with Leon's default. But she honestly should have had her RE4R outfit added to the game after the release of the game. Her RE4R outfit is awesome!

My biggest nitpick right now is objects like totems, and the pumpkins right now, spawning right next to a windows or pallet. Taking a hit because you went to throw a pallet and started kicking a pumpkin you didn't see next to it is really annoying.
it's an entirely different button for dropping a pallet/vaulting than kicking a pumpkin, how the fuck are you kicking a pumpkin instead of dropping a pallet or vaulting?
Maybe luck can randomly increase great skill check size, or make a good skill check count as a great skill check randomly. Or just increase rarity from chests. Idk
