Great episode. Hear me out. Luke is my favourite character next to Leia , (and now Din Din Jarin and Grogu). However, having Luke return did take me out a bit of the story as much as I love there character. It worries me that TPTB are so focused on spinoffs and possibly losing the quality and originality of this series. I hope I'm wrong. I think at some point, Grogu will come back to Din in Mandalore. Din has a misconception of what Mandalore is like now, and he'll learn more about. He'll be formulating his identity and what is important to him. At least, I sure hope that's where it's going. I've so enjoyed watching this series because of its originality, respecting the lore of the SW universe, but without always being attached to the legacy characters.
Seen it 4 times already and ugly cried each time. This was epic! I had a feeling about Luke. Man thank you Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for bringing us The Mandalorian. Also appreciate all the strong female characters! Can't wait until the next season
Great reactions guys! Me? I'm 54 and grew up seeing the originals...this made me cry like a little boy. So happy that the magic returned. Best thing about 2020.
Have you ever watched Battlestar Galactica? Katee Sackhoff played the pilot Starbuck in it. This episode had a lot of Battlestar Galactica references? Those Dark Troopers were Cylons for sure. The launch of the Tie Fighter was from Galactica Vipers lunch too (Viper as the Galactica's fighter ships, not the Pedro Pascal from GOT hehehe). And also when Bo-Katan lands the ship, was like Katee Sackhoff's Starbuck landing a Viper. That episode was a clear Katee Sackhoff homage to Galactica. And I loved! ♥
I was only waiting on 3 reactions and first ones in. I cried, i was happy, thats my 2020 finished off with an early christmas present. THANKYOU LUCAS film, DF and JF, SW is in good hands.
my mother is from a Foreign country and is over 80yo, never seen star wars at all. She barely understands English. I introduced to her and binged watched with her every single canon star wars having to explain everything in her native language over the course of a year, when she saw this episode, she knew it was luke skywalker as soon as she saw the x-wing, and she Cried, but interestingly, she cried when Grogu said Goodbye, and Cried when she saw R2D2 again, instead of crying for Luke. LOL
**incoming transmission** Dave Filoni: the season 2 has been taken care of, my master. George Lucas: It is finished, then. You have restored peace and justice to the fandom.

At Disney's Investors Day Kathleen Kennedy said that season 3 of Mandalorian was going to come out Christmas 2021, and since now we know the book of boba fett is coming out December 2021, I think this book of boba fett is going to be Mando season 3. Happy to see you fellas expanding your new operation. Gonna have to give your Patreon a look, especially with all those juicy new Star Wars shows on the horizon. BTW, only thought I had during the scene at 3:14 was "Starbuck's going the wrong way up a viper launch tube."
What a finale!!! I love it how they mirrored Vader’s corridor scene in Rogue One (showing why he’s such a bad ass and revered Sith Lord) with Luke in this episode (showing why he’s a bad ass and revered Jedi). Speaking of which, I’d love to see Gareth Edwards direct an episode of this show. I think the way he approached Rogue One is the same as the tone approach of this show. It’s a story set around the events of the Skywalker saga but is very much its own thing and only borrowing elements of the Skywalker movies when necessary to aid the story. In the hands of a lesser director or writer the temptation to give Vader more screen time in Rogue One to please fans would’ve been too tempting, but Gareth used him just enough and to great effect. It is the same with characters from other shows and movies used in The Mandalorian. They are used just enough in order to push the story further. They are there to serve the story and not overshadow it. God I love this show.... I have spoken. 😊
A masterpiece.! This is what you get when you stay true to the original plot without wanting to re-become who knows what, as it happened with STAR TREK.
I'm sure Bo will contact Ahsoka about this Jedi and we'll see the meeting of Luke and Ahsoka, but not in the Mando, in her spin-off. There was no Luke/Boba interaction too, because all of them would took too much attention from Mando and Grogu scene.
I know it’s been a while since this was posted but I didn’t get into the Mandalorian season 1 but watching Season 2 then coming to hang out with you guys and learn about all the Easter eggs and lore made me fall in love with this show! Thank you for opening my eyes to a whole new fandom!
I've been saying for a while now, I would've loved to see Luke's Jedi Academy on-screen. And now I'm calling it, I think we'll eventually see it. Possibly following Grogu and other padawans. And that may even lead us into the next trilogy. Grogu may even feature in the next trilogy guys.

In Legends the Hutts were neither bad nor evil in a Jedi/Sith way of looking at things. Also their influence in the criminal underworld was so huge that they were left alone to do their business despite breaking the law. They were in a way an independent faction, that's why in the Clone Wars the Republic wanted to save Jabbas son, and in legends the Republic was doing deals with them later on, after Endor.

Added to the suspense and made the green reveal even better. My heart is so, so full. What a great end to a shitty year.
When Bo landed the shuttle the first thought in my head was Ace Ventura's parking "Like a glove" lol
Not a Star Wars fan, casual viewer, but I started watching Clone Wars, Rebels and other shows during Covid. You guys were a big part of my journey down the rabbit hole. Your carmaraderie and friendship is clear and your knowledge and passion for the lore kept me viewing all the programs.
Augustin was killing me. Between the "WINGS UP.... WINGS UP" & "RIGHT THROUGH THE CHEST!!!!", Bruh was completely invested.
Good Stuff. Thanks for making this an enjoyable journey.
“Estas muy guapo, papi”
Holy shit, just as I’m about to get emotional, I’m dying of laughter. To be fair I’m still crying, but from laughing instead
i had to laugh to keep from crying
Pedrito Pascal...un papi chileno
This was AMAZING!! So make possibilities for season 3. Loved your reaction. All of the Luke scenes gave me chills. Lol
Seen it 4 times already and ugly cried each time. This was epic! I had a feeling about Luke. Man thank you Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for bringing us The Mandalorian. Also appreciate all the strong female characters! Can't wait until the next season
Adam: “We. Called. This.” Me: “You have no idea”
Omg my heart was raising so fast at the end of the episode 🤩
my mother is from a Foreign country and is over 80yo, never seen star wars at all. LOL
When the guy on the right said, “Disney+, take all my money,” I cracked up!
I was not expecting this, this quick thank you guys so much!
**incoming transmission**
Dave Filoni: the season 2 has been taken care of, my master.
George Lucas: It is finished, then. You have restored peace and justice to the fandom.
Wow So glad you posted this I couldnt see it . Thank you Dave filoni and Jon Faverau for giving us Star wars again and glad they gave Luke ( Mark Hamil) an awesome fight and credit all I can say is Bravo!!! Been a fan since seeing the first movie at 11 years old in 1977 so glad I got to see this
Magnificent 7 became complete when Luke joined the team. Doesn't care if CG looked rough, Rogue One Vader scene. Spicy! And now a new show with Boba Fett? Disney has a plan and Favreau & Fioloni head it.
Luke about to kill dark troopers
Me: This is where the fun begins
So happy y'all dropped this super quick!
So glad you guys got this out today. This episode was fire.
"Estas my guapo, papi" XD
Can we talk about how good Pedro looks in that amour
with the helmet off?
What a finale!!!
I cry like a baby when i see that lukes redemption; fuck the last triology this is how the SW canon deserves to be treated!!! Love to Favreau and Filoni
And for you three guys, thnx for the video i really enjoy it.
Loved the Battlestar Galactica moment when the tie fighters flew out, a nice touch cosidering Katee Sackhoff stared in it.
Tingles in my jingles guys. Amazing Episode and im just sad we have to wait a yr but i think it will be worth it. Great Reaction guys.
I was convinced they wouldn’t do what they did so to say it was a surprise is an understatement. Also the “goodbye” definitely caused some water works.
Season 1 and 2 were chapters in Din's book. Book of Boba is season 3 of Mandalorian. Season 4 will be Din and Bo on Mandalore.
I loved your reaction guys. You are so great. And this show is so great. At Disney's Investors Day Kathleen Kennedy said that season 3 of Mandalorian was going to come out Christmas 2021, and since now we know the book of boba fett is coming out December 2021, I think this book of boba fett is going to be Mando season 3. AND, it makes sense that it's called the BOOK of boba fett and the episodes are called chapters. Love you guys from Brazil ❤️❤️
Man now I teared up again seeing Grogu and Din's good bye

Why didn't Djin ask Luke his name, could have been a scene where Bo Kantan tells Luke she knew Anakin and knows his former padawan Ashoka
Seems like a lot of exposition for the scene when its about something else entirely.
Probably the same reason why Boba wasn't on the bridge when Luke showed up
She didn’t really know Anakin tho. I mean they interacted in Season 7 of TCW but like two sentences each.
Thematically, it makes sense what they did. It would have ruined the moment between Mando and Grogu if we got exposition.
I'm sure Bo will contact Ahsoka about this Jedi and we'll see the meeting of Luke and Ahsoka, but not in the Mando, in her spin-off. There was no Luke/Boba interaction too, because all of them would took too much attention from Mando and Grogu scene.
Yoooo, it was LADIES NIGHT in Mandoville this week! That teamwork was beautiful!
Rangees of the repuvlic seems to be a girls show. :)
@@adrianpallis4568 The show will be for everyone but if the lead cast is made up of women that would be interesting
The left dude explaining the entire scene in detail right before it happens... 😂
Those R2 bleep outs are the best thing ever. What a ride this season has been. I was Agustin this episode, laughing with glee the entire time. Great reaction homies.
THIS JUST IN: You guys got included in GammaRay's compilation of The Mandalorian S2 finale reactions. GammaRay has the best reaction editing out there. I wrote them about this chanel 2 or 3 times, but they might've found you on your own. Check out: Fans React to The Mandalorian Chapter 16: "The Rescue".
So.... Obi-Wan gets his own series.... Lando gets his own series.... Ashoka gets her own series..... Mandalorian continues with season 3.... We get the SW Bad Batch animated spinoff.... and now Boba gets his own series (possibly). Yeah... 2021 is going to be blowin' up like a Death Star.
Not possibly, its a spin-off series. Might be like a 1-2 season show
Honestly, I wasn't into you know who showing up until I watched your reaction. I agreed with Adam, I wanted us to get away from the main storyline of the movies and have it stand alone. But at the same time, I did love how they brought them in and the level of badass in that sequence. Also, can we plz shout out the fact that 4 epicly badass women took over that cruiser without a scratch on them from God knows how many stormtroopers??? They out in some serious work!!
I did not have a permission slip for this feels trip...
So, yeah, don't think too much about this part but Grogo is 50... the Temple was destroyed in about 20 years. He won't be very much bigger at 70.
Ikr, hence why if he really was at that temple, it's pretty unlikely that he survived Ben's temper tantrum.
Hope you guys don’t forget us TH-cam folks with the new Patreon channel 😅
It made me cry too it’s like for a brief moment movies episodes 7,8,9 didn’t exist at all.🤩😭🤩😭🤩
Since 1977 seeing Mark Hamill as Luke at the cinema, he is THE Luke!!! Great reaction guys, loved it. I showed my wife this and asked if I reacted like you guys she said "No, you were actually holding my arm saying over and over 'It's Luke!!', then when he took his hood off, you cried!!" 🤣🤣
Love the Dumb and Dumber reference "Kill him". At least, thats what I think Hector did lol.
100%
congrats guys. Hamil Himself saw you guys in a Mixed Reactions compilation and shared it on his twitter.
Mandalorian is the iron man 1 ,sooo true!! 12:55
I loved that during the hallway scene, he spun around and deflected the blast behind his back like Anakin did.
This series has saved Star Wars and I cant wait to tell my future kids how much I cried watching this episode
They really needed to bounce back hard to save the verse, and they have bounced back HARD.
