Yes, it was Luke like we all wanted him to be. Like we all imaged based on what we knew of him. We have seen it a million times in our minds but to see it on the screen was more than words can ever describe for us old fans.

In the old canon, and now presumably in the new judging by his fighting style, Luke learned saber combat on the fly from dueling Vader. His movements, his strikes...are all almost identical to Vader's but faster, and a little more rough-around-the-edges as the movements of a self-trained swordsman would be.
Mando almost died with full armor against one of the dark troopers. Luke, with no armor, walked right through them. Mando became a believer and so did the rest of them. That shit was awesome. Love these reaction videos. This is how it’s supposed to be done!

As a bloke I also shed tears of joy, relief & excitement pent up from my past 43 years as a Star Wars fan. It was a truly moving & cathartic moment to see our favourite Jedi back again & in context with Mando and his team ! The final scene between Grogu & Mando was up there with the best emotionally charged scenes from the Original Trilogy. Thanks to Favreau & Filoni for restoring Star Wars to it's true historical roots & gifting us fans with a magic final episode to cap off Season 2 !
