Okay this might be ambitious but hear me out… How about a singing dog?
It's GOTTA be modeled after a husky. Ice/Sound type.
@@ChibiTails yeah! or a hound, cuz they sure do bay.
and i mean, howling can be singing, right?
EDIT: this was before the video, i now understand that reference.
Can it sing toto Africa?
Kk?
I had to do a double take when I saw one small channel I like commenting on another, worlds colliding.
I love imagining an in-universe scenario with an actual Pokemon professor presenting their thesis to add the "sound" type classification, and then they unironically tell a room full of academics that Noctowl should fall under it because "silence is a type of sound"
0 is a number despite having no value.
@@leebulger7112 sound is the movement of air particles. Silence is the lack of air movement. When somebody says there is no sound then it is silent. If someone says that there is no number they do not mean 0 they mean there is no number
@@Tankirb I was just using 0 as an example.
@@leebulger7112 then find an example that is actually applicable
@@Tankirb forget it.
"Noctowl is an owl, which is silent, which is... A kind of sound." ah, off to a good start this video is
Don’t go too crazy, Yoda.
The kind of intellectual endeavor where turning a Flying-Dragon type named “Flygon” into a Sound-Dragon type based on the sound it makes with the wings it uses to fly can pass without further examination
He's actually kind of right there, a silence pokemon would be very fun and owls have special wings that don't make sound
No wait he’s onto something
JelloApocalypse: Silent is a kind of sound
Me: But it's a lack of sound?
Also me: If anything, Noctowl should be the beginning of a type that is super -effective against sound type! We could call it the "Mute" type! Mr. Mime would also be in this typing, of course. As well as those Cacturne things, you know, the Pokémon that are literally just walking cacti? Edit after looking it up: Okay, yeah, they're called Cacturne.
The part "Wooper!" "Go on" "It whoops!" has been living rent free in my head forever now
The almost instinctual "Whoopa! Whoopa!" is the cherry on top.
Yes. Wooper supremacy!!!!!
Same, “It whoops!” Is the name of my wooper in Pokemon Violet
It’s hilarious to me that after Jello got so annoyed about too many dogs, monkeys and frogs, Scarlet and Violet add no less than 3 dogs, 2 monkeys, and a frog, not to mention more than 5 fish. At least they finally made a dolphin
and a stork and flamingo! those were my wishes every gen when it came to new Pokemon
I just looked at all the new Pokemon and i have only seen 4 fish (dondozo, tatsugiri, veluza and chi-yu) and one monke (annihilape). What are the other ones?

The Sound-type Eeveelution shoulda been called Accordeon.
Yes! That's great!
Absolutely
Accordeon sounds cool but syntheon fits the design of the pokemon better
You dropped this👉👑
This shares my number 1 spot with Eesharpeon.
Drove me nuts that "Beatbox" wasn't proposed as a sound/fighting. It works with both syllables!
Beatboxer... and have it be a singing dog...
Beatboxed or a ring announcer
When they were talking about a dog or bird for the fighting type I was thinking beatbark or beakbox
A beatboxing singing dog. Its name is Dawg.
Beatbox can be Posse's signature move
The beginning of this video reads as a group of scientists attempting to prove their type theory and the second half feels like a group of really tired gods making pokemon
Extremely accurate
“How about a singing god?”
“…I’m scorching the earth next century I swear.”
The dolphone being called "ahoyhoy" is actually perfect given the whole "Let's answer the phone with 'ahoy'" fad/idea.
“I love to piss”
“I sometimes pee”
Freud may have been onto something
i may perchance urinate
Or maybe a repressed watersport fetish, eh Jello?

Please god no stop please
@@jhinjhiminji9128 ok ok, I'll stop. XD
Just a harmless little joke is all. Teasing Jello for those Freudian slips.
Well according to rumors...
I can't believe toxtricity wasn't considered, he is literally a living electric guitar/bass
I was literally sitting here waiting for them to mention him but they never did
I was just about to comment this. Smh they're such fake fans /hj
Probably not super familiar with most recent games
So it would lose its electric type and be poison/sound?
Toxtricity is the biggest reason against a sound type because it'd mean removing Poison/Electric
To be fair, Poison/Electric just fits Toxtricity too well -- both for its name and design -- so changing either would be difficult despite how perfect Sound would also fit
"We dont have a fireworks pokemon"
Poor Blacephalon, everyone forgets about you

@@meghanstanley1765HAHAHAHA
Thinking that Mr. Mime is a monkey makes my life a little bit easier
Galarian Mr Mime, Mr Rime has a mustache, but yeah
People are great apes/hominids? (best I can think of)
I love that not only a "singing" dog sounds like every other dog but also it is the most generic looking dog I've ever seen.
its mega cute
It's a shiba with a Summer-Bod
That’s a dingo
Each one of dogremi's heads controls a different leg. They use the rhythm of their singing to keep their movements coordinated
jello better write this down for the pokedex
It would be so cute if that also meant their idle animation is bouncing to a beat like an old rubberhose animation.
so fucking cute
i love this
that's adorable!!
I love how most of Lenti's suggestions are actually really good, marchalong and pied piper rat for example, but then there's just *singing dog*
I doubt they had even heard the "singing" of that dog they just knew the name I'm sure.
“I dont want another dog.” Gets three evolution lines from Scarlet/Violet
I like the mental image that when Ahoyhoy tries to do that chirp sound that dolphins make, it just makes a perfect rendition of the default iPhone alarm noise
Ahoyhoy is the Poke'mon I never knew completed my team.
Oh, my gosh, that is GENIUS!
this almost made me spit out my drink 😭
No no, make it the Nokia ringtone
th-cam.com/video/xXhEz3hqlQE/w-d-xo.html
"I actually dont think audino has anything to do with sound"
Audino is literally the hearing pokemon
Has more to do than fucking flygon
But what do you normally hear? A sound.
@@joaocritico what do you hear? A sound.
Every Pokémon is sound because they either make sound, or don’t.
but according to the dex entries, it can hear real good
yeah, and it's ear things are a stethoscope. that's why it's the gen 5 nurse joy pokemon
Toxtricity could definitely be a sound type but it would be so hard to drop either it’s poison or electric type without a redesign.. maybe a regional variant for the sound region?
Yeah but the electric/poison combo sounds like an interesting concept. It clearly looks like both but also sound. It would definitely know sound type moves.
Honestly, the best way to handle Toxtricity is to do nothing with it. It's completely built around its Poison/Electric typing stylistically and it already has an ability that reduces damage from Sound moves by 50% while boosting the user's by 30%.
Maybe it can get a new ability. Something that gives it the type advantages and weaknesses of the type it dropped, but without giving STAB damage for that type.
The only advantage you get from having a type is it's STAB, but I think giving it the type could work similar to Mega Gothitelle from Pokemon Insurgence.
Just make Punk Rock have Sound Stab..
The sheer delight in Jello's voice when gushing about the idea of a pied piper rat fills me with so much joy every time i watch this
"Here's dark type, there's 5."
I'll see that, and raise you Dragon and ghost types. "There's one line. deal with it." on introduction.
Well for Dragon it kinda made sense because they were supposed to be super-rare (Dratini you could only get in the Safari Zone or the Game Corner in R/B/Y) and "hard to train" (which basically just meant taking more EXP than regular 'mons to level and evolving late) so your reward for putting all that effort in was getting an exclusive type you couldn't find anywhere else (and one that resisted the three starter types (+ Electric) to boot!)
Another point is. If we go by the math logic. At 151 pokemon. We should have roughly 9 ghost and dragon. Since there was only 16 types. So off by 6 and when we got dark type, only off by 9.
then gen 2 came around:
"here's one more pokemon for each type, deal with it" 😂
@@GeminiTasiri I guess that's the reason why they didn't make Gyarados and Charizard a dragon type. (Well, the latter has some more reasons as it already had two types _and_ would have disrupted the rock/paper/scissors starter dynamic.)
It still baffles me that the only ghosts we got essentially evolved out of poison clouds.
Especially considering Japanese mythology has plenty of spirits among their Kami and Yokai.
Once someone said “Cerberus chorus” I was like “please make it a barbershop quartet” and the payoff was the best high I’ve gotten in my life. Please make more of this with increasingly obscure typing, this is so fun
The first form has two heads and is called Doget (Duet), Triog with three heads(Trio), and Quarberus with 4 heads (Quartet).
what is a barber shop quartet?
@@NottheuserAVeryNormalHuman A barbershop quartet is a group of four guys who sing a cappella (without instruments), and with an emphasis on harmonies. They tend to have a very clean vocal style, always simple but unique. I recommend looking it up on TH-cam.
Absolutley!
'Choirberus' for the name.
EDIT: Well, if the 4 headed one is Dogremi, then the prevo could be Choirberus.
@@NottheuserAVeryNormalHuman Scratch-O's answer, but also some youtubers like Trudbol will do videos of them singing all four parts.
I think it’s really hard justifying swapping a lot of these Pokémon’s types with sound. Like making Ludicolo *not* grass and water, or flygon *not* ground and dragon.
That's true, with Fairy they only changed Normal types or added it on to previously single-typed Pokémon.
But Flygon gets overall outclassed with Garchomp, so he needs the help there
@@herowither12354 No, not really, but still balancing them out can really help some pokemon out. Especially with how many people love Flygon and how he just gets super outclassed.
@@herowither12354 Not like that. I just think in terms of regular runs, there is little purpose to use Flygon if Garchomp is an option. It doesn't need to be as good as a pseudo, moreso different than Garchomp to not just be utterly outclassed, just having a different niche. I personally don't think sound would be better, just different.
@@herowither12354 Also to be fair, for your first part, every Pokemon should at least have their own niche that lets them stand out. The more team variety, the better.
I can’t wait for the next time you all get drunk and decide to go through with the *MEAT* type

For sound dark you could als do a poet raven based on Edgar Allen Poe or just Poets in general, make it all moody and macabre, not necessarily sure if it's sound but it works.
You could potentially make that Sound/Flying and give it a bunch of Dark-type moves, maybe an ability that simulates Dark STAB like how Dhelmise has Steelworker.
now i’m just thinking of a sound pokemon that incites insanity slowly like the thumping of the tell-tale heart…
EDIT : wait so i literally just posted this comment but now i’m suddenly flooded with ideas for a ghost + sound pokemon who delights in using their combination type to freak people out who enter too far into what they consider ‘their’ territory.
I honestly love Honkeytonk especially because of the evolution. Like how initially ridiculous it seems to have a dragon type that’s a goofy little rubber chicken with god-awful stats but then it evolves into this sick medieval cockatrice basilisk thing with VULCANIZED RUBBER SKIN. It’s basically the new magicarp.

Audino actually does have a reason to be sound type: it uses the antennae on its ears as a stethoscope, to make sure other Pokemon are healthy.

A regional variant that has the Sound-type I think would make more sense. Unova focused on the hospital idea of it, since it’s the Pokémon of choice for the nurses there. These ideas and the sound type is genius❤️incredible video! 😂
Here’s an idea for Marchalong: Each different form comes with a special move, like the Pikachu costumes. Give the drummer Belly Drum, give the trumpeter Round, and give the Tuba guy Howl or something.
I feel like they need like 20 more instruments and a bunch of colors to basically make psuedo-spinda. I’d love that.
Marchalong should be like Falinx or eggecute, a single mon that is made up of multiple individuals.
@@Toneill029 But, you could need to collect the individual Pokemon/capsules that make it up like with Zygarde's Cells. ...Maybe it's incapable of learning TMs and a Marchalong can be made up of up to 4 different instruments/colors of the individual capsules with each providing a combat Move (or 5 with one also assigning Ability)? Instruments provide moves, colors maybe boost different stats in the completed form? Buncha ways one could handle it.
@@Shalakor I think I’ve figured it out. Marchalong could be a make-your-own-move Pokémon. The instrument it has will determine a move, and then the color determines what type the move will be. For example, you could breed a blue marchalong with a trumpet to get water type round, or a purple marchalong with a flute to get ghost type grass whistle. It would definitely be a fun thing to mess around with.
Another idea to add to that: Once every Marchalong gets their signature move, they all evolve into one Orchestra Pokemon, whoever is the highest level out of the trio gets turned into that one, stats focusing on whatever move it evolves from, Belly drum one focuses on attack/defense, grass whistle one focuses on taking advantage of status effects etc.
What a character arc. Singing Dog starting as this running gag that will not die and then gets workshopped into the second best pitch of the stream. That rubber chicken dragon is tough to beat.

Agreed. Seeing the dramatic, action-infused *OBJECTION!* animation with just
No.
F*cking killed me.
Ok hear me out, there should be 6 different formes of Marchalong, and if you find them all, level them up to 25 and put them all on your team at the same time, they all evolve into one Orchestroop - which is basically all of them but one Pokémon, kinda like Falinks.
Funnily enough Skeledirge makes perfectly sense as a Fire/Sound starter. Also Toxtricity is definitely Sound, but it's so tied to being both Poison and Electric that I don't know if you could remove one
I’ve never been big on the idea of a Sound Type because during the conversion process you’d rip half the moves out of Normal, and a big chunk of the pokemon too
but also i think the lil Marching Band guys would be fun if you had to have all the variants in your party for it to evolve and they just kinda Voltron it up into one pokemon, like an inverse Nincada
And it would give a great purpose to having all of them instead of taking up space.
The big issue of Sound type is that it feels like an exclusively Special type
@@hondaaccord1399 yeah but like, percussion. Have Physical moves that are percussion based and problem solved
@@LostReflection
😳 Genius
considering how much I hate the normal type, I have no problem with ripping out half their moves and pokemon.
Sound typing is basically the Normal type with extra steps
"Be careful that's a sound Pokémon, it can makes sounds"
"Well that's normal"
"No that's a sound Pokémon"
Rock and steel type Pokémon are just ground type Pokémon with extra steps.
@@Quetzalcoatl-Dragon_97 well yes but steel no (yes I'm funny like that). Metal has different properties from rocks
Yeah, and Ice types are just rocks but water
Whenever I try to pitch the Space-type to someone, they literally say it's just a second Psychic-type. But like... this comment symbolizes my exact response to them if they think a Sound-type should exist. XD
(I'm not saying I wouldn't like a Sound-type, I'm just saying that I want a Space-type more, and that if you think a Sound-type makes more sense than a Space-type then I stfg).
@@ethnictendo it's the first time I heard about a space type and I don't know what my stance for it would be.
My first question would be, do you mean space as in dimension, the presence/absence of matter or as from outer-space?
the one thing this video doesn't take into account is that whenever new pokemon types have been introduced, any old pokemon who has its type changed either had the new type added to a monotype (i.e. gardevoir, magneton, etc) or the new type replaced normal (i.e. clefairy). no other type has ever been replaced. if a sound type was added, pokemon like jigglypuff and exploud would change, but noivern, ludicolo, etc wouldn't since they're already dual type.
Then the legendary’s signature move would be called: Dad sneeze
"We dont have a fireworks Pokemon."
Blacephalon: *cries in exploding firework head*
Pretty sure it's a disco ball and also who cares about blacephalon
@@actuallyIDontExist It’s literally called the firework pokemon.
@@actuallyIDontExist last time I checked disco balls don't explode like a goddamn firework
@@actuallyIDontExist his trademark move is his head exploding into fireworks
Maybe for Dogremi the evolution adds more heads and is called “Barkcapella
Dogremi: 3 headed howling cerberus puppy
Barkapella: 4 headed adult cerberus with barbershop quartet pinstripes
It should have a 2 headed baby named Chewet

I thought about a pokemon relationship between each other. Like heatmore which is a fire type anteater and Durant which are steel-bug ants, your sound-poison snake might be hypnotized by the sound-psychic one
