509t for me. Closed emitter, solar backup, Shake awake dot, different reticles, incredibly small yet great sight picture. I love it on my Glock 40. And you can find plates for it that will mount on anything.

Yea Aimpoint blew it by beta testing their ACRO, while Holosun only had minor(Or major if you're OCD/Noob) issues that affected it. I also ain't buying an ACRO now too since there are so many better variants of it out there coming out in the next few months.

First I want to say to anyone new to dots, watch as many of these videos and get your hands on as much of a variety as possible before you pick your go to. Dots are a lot like the guns themselves and will come down to personal preference and choice of feature set. I made the mistake of getting the rmr first just because a lot of people said it is the “best”, but I found that on certain guns I don’t prefer it.
I jumped in the dot world with both feet, outfitting all of my p320s, mos Glocks, and 365xs with dots. Of the ones I’ve tried,
    1. DPP (it’s like my two number 2s had a baby)
    2. Tie rmr06 and Romeo 1 pro
    3. Romeo zero
    4. Holosun (I think 407)
    5. Vortex venom
Of them I still have 4 dpps, 2Romeo 1 pros, 2 rmrs, and 2 zeros. None of the dots I’ve tried have malfunctioned on me or broken. I have dpps and Romeo’s on my p320s and one dpp and the rmrs on my Glocks. I will say this and I am not sure why, for me I MUCH prefer the dpps on my sigs (2 of them are pro slides so they have the rmr foot print too), however I prefer the rmr on Glock. The absolute easiest one that I have to shoot though is the Romeo 1 pro. I like the Romeo zero but don’t love it on my 365xs, it’s a good optic but I don’t think a great one.
I am looking forward to trying the Eotech and the Romeo 2

I wish that on the holosuns it would get brought up more that on the solar backup modes it not only is an obvious backup in case your battery dies but also it adjusts your reticle to the brightness of your environment! It is rough to use if you are inside shooting out into bright daylight, but if you are for instance clearing a room or building it adjusts along the way for you. That way in a dark room you aren't getting blinded by the super bright dot and adjusts to be brighter as soon as you step out into the daylight and vice versa!

    • @AmericaFirstKorey
      @AmericaFirstKorey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

You can also manually set the brightness and lock it out.

Concerning dot size , it's all about philosophy of use. If you want to engage multiples at closer range. Big dot is faster. If you're looking for pure accuracy at longer distance , small is better.

Holosun should’ve been above venom and dpp just on durability. Venoms and dpps are known to break if dropped. Sometime to the point it’s not usable.
    I’d go
    1. Holosun 509t
    2 RMR
    3. Holosun 508t

Yeah. Had an RMR on my Glock 34 but swapped that out for that Holosun (they have to work on their name scheme). So much easier to use and that's something that can't be taken for granted: technology on firearms should make our use of them more effective, not make us go play hide and seek with red dots.
RMR now sits offset on a scoped rifle for night vision use. Wish Trijicon would step it up with innovating on the RMR since I like the ruggedness it provides.

The problem with any red dot that doesn't have auto on shake awake is you probably won't end up having time to turn it on when you need it. My FNX 45 came with the Vortex Venom, and I don't like it. It's the hardest red dot I own to zero for some reason and the coating scratches super easy. Not to mention that it's the 6 MOA one. Trijicon is so too expensive imo. I like Holosun, they are middle of the road priced and reliable.

I've broke multiple Vortex red dots and seen to many videos about them breaking and I broke a Leupold Delta Point pro that I had as an offset red dot on my AR15. To me it all comes down to what your budget is... if you have a bigger budget get a RMR if you don't get a Holosun and you can buy a Holosun with confidence because there's way to many videos out there of people beating the crap out of them and they handle it with ease.

That’s pretty crazy that you have holosun so low. Alot of pro shooters/teachers like modern samurai have rmr #1 but holosun is #2

For Gee-Lock or M&P guys I love the Leupold DeltaPoint Micro. Easy to install with no plate or MOS setup. Easy to use and very efficient even with small window. Shake awake, 3 moa, easy battery install, and hearty.

Don’t need a battery change if you have the fiber optic model ;) Only issue is you can adjust the brightness and in the dark a weapon mounted light will for sure wash out the reticle.

Nice video, but if he was able to show what the red dot looks like when you looking behind through the optic on each item, it would be better

    2) Holosun 508T
    3) Holosun EPS/EPS Carry when they're avail. 😆
    4) Trijicon RMR
    5) if you didn't buy one of the 5 above you wasted your money!!!! LOL 😆

I really enjoy the SeeAll Sights optics. I have yet to get a pistol mounted one but there are multiple options for what kind of mount you have. Fiber optic picks of very well in the light and the tritium glows well enough to pick up the optic. It has no parallax and is pretty light weight. Great for point shooting and I really enjoy it in airsoft as well

Great video. Curious why you went with Vortex Venom over the Razor?
    Also. Pricing would be nice.

He now has an Accuracy International AWM! That’s one of my all time favorites, in 338 lapua. In fact that was the original rifle designed for the 338 lapua

$80 Tasco unless you're an operator or leo. Anything else is just tacti-douche overkill. I have a holosun, a romeo, and a tasco and they work. All of them. Two of them made my wallet much lighter though.

And canik’s price point brings the full moon reviewers right out of the woodwork lol.

Is the adjustable LED worth spending an extra $50 on in your opinion? I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning the non adjustable red dot but if it's that much better than I'll return it and get the adjustable LED

Noob question. Are the sights universally adaptable to every pistol as long as you got the right mount? Do all pistols, for example, have mounts for holosun sights?
