The Series X is slightly more powerful, but the PS5 is a more balanced console, hardware-wise. Microsoft screwed up with the split memory pool on the Series X.
@@mariust6769you don't get it at all. They could not of went same route as Sony due the fact that it's lower overall bandwidth they needed more for more powerful GPU why it's split. A game is enjoyable weither 30 or 60FPS, should not matter if its a good game and does not stop you enjoying it. Why is it so many get hung up on the 60fps crap, not needed, just play the games like they did in the 70's 80's and 90's and never considered framerates an issue. If you cannot just enjoy the games, without getting hung up on fps then a console is not for you, get a PC then. Or (Vice Versa, which ever console you have). I’m saying this because the Next Gen games we have or haven’t got yet do not Justify spending 100s more £/$ for Yet Another Next Gen console.
Thats output resolution after FSR. Internal resolution is around 800-1000p in performance and 1200-1400p in quality mode. But still good none the less.
I don't think consoles will truly be 9th gen until the ps5 pro and boosted series x (whatever they call it) comes out. I think the current series x and ps5 are kinda like gen 8.5 consoles and the pro/series x boosted will be the true 9th gen...then when the 10th gen comes graphics will be truly 60/120+ fps. so far the fps for the current consoles has been just marketing to sell us consoles, but the juice isn't there.
I don't think I Ps5 pro would be that much better. The PS4 pro is rumoured to have the same zen2 cores as the ps5 but clocked slightly higher and about 80% more gpu performance. So if the game is CPU bound you are not going to get a higher fps regardless of resolution. On the ps5 pro this game's performance mode would have the image quality of about 1800p, but performance would be similar.
From what I hear from rumors the PS5 pro is only going to be 20% better that will not be enough to run GTA 6 smoothly and fast when it comes out in 2025 if that console upgrade is going to happen that year

It's based on what display people have, u can't have a shit 4k tv and accept the game to look good. The reason why i didn't say monitors is because they have no upscaling technology because they are focused on fps. @@DinkWhit Not in Series S. A scam by Microsoft imo
So for me all i can say is on ps5 with a 200dollar 4k tv, performance mode feels smooth and graphics look pretty good. Quality mode does look a little better, but if you pan left to right, the blur is very apparent compared to performance mode. So i stick to performance for me personally.
Ive found the performance gets worse the further you get into the game. It really needs a couple of patches lots of fps drops.
It look light the lightning and shadows are better on xbox? Ps5 looks dark.? Or is it just me
even if ps5 have better performance in general but for me xbox is the best in this generation because of its services .. for example i can play this game on U+ on day one with other Ubisoft games but in PS5 i have to buy it for 70$
Nah the ps5 is better this generation. Not only do third party games look and run better on the ps5, it also has better exclusives.
@@AV-xm5lnSorry bro but Series X had less issues overall, media focused alot on Xbox issues but reality is PS5 had a lot of them, and Xbox features worked out of the box while PS5 needed months worth of updates....

Ok guys, both are great, but I chose the xbox series x because I have a ps4 pro which has great graphics for my playstation games
@@AV-xm5lnactually 3rd party games typically look better on the sx but usually run slightly better on the ps5(without vrr). I’d choose the sx for the better picture.
Well here we go again lol
The more powerful console series x should be performing better than the ps5, I love both and got both consoles and got the game on the series x because the battery life on my controller is like 5 times longer than the ps5 controller but If I knew that the ps5 had better resolution and better performance I would have went with the ps5 version this time, devs need to optimise more to bring the full capabilities of the xbox series x even if it will only produce slightly better performance and resolution than the ps5 as it should as the series x is the more powerful machine, not just focus on the ps5 because it has a larger player base then port to the series x as an afterthought.
The Series X is slightly more powerful, but the PS5 is a more balanced console, hardware-wise. Microsoft screwed up with the split memory pool on the Series X.
Exactly this @@mariust6769
@@mariust6769you don't get it at all. They could not of went same route as Sony due the fact that it's lower overall bandwidth they needed more for more powerful GPU why it's split. The GPU inside the console is comparable to 6700xt levels of performance Vs ps5 being rx6700 non xt they definitely do not need more than 10gbs for that level of performance. In total though out of the 16gb Devs have access to 13.5gb pool 2.5 reserved for the os. 10gb super fast other 3.5 slightly slower which is more than fine to use for things when building a game that don't require alot of bandwidth something Microsoft mentioned. Devs are just lazy they rush games and blame hardware we hear this every generation.
Keep in mind rtx 3080 launched with 10gb and that's like 35-50% more powerful than what's inside the consoles and not all games max out the vram at Ultra settings 4k resolution with ray tracing something neither console is powerful enough to do so again why more vram?

Ehm, I'll happily take 500p if it takes to get this game to 60 fps on Series S. So not sure what you meant by it. I play on a sofa a few meters from a tv and don't notice the resolution much

This seems like it’s the first AAA title skipping last gen completely, and you can see it. Also, I think 30fps works well here because it looks cinematic. Normally I prefer 60fps (even on Cyberpunk 2077) when movement is fast paced, but here the environments make me enjoy the more cinematic feel of 30fps.
Mortal Kombat 1 skipped and Gotham Knights skipped already and NFS Unbound skipped and a lot more
@@Solidus155 I think the last two were being developed for last gen as well but the old gen versions were cancelled (as performance was so poor). Avatar was developed 100% for current gen.

What a Joke, never used to be an issue and games on Consoles were never about frame rates, but enjoyment. It's a ps5 sponsored tittle so I'm not surprised. Microsoft has failed blatantly to make developers use all capabilities of the series x. If this is happening with the regular ps5, imagine the differences with the pro.
This is exactly why I choose the PS5 over the SX version. All this "fancy stuff" built into the SX and nobody using it, even Microsoft's 1st party studios.
@@SOTVT i have both consoles and I enjoy them, but I'm more of an xbox fan and I got the series x first since is my favorite of the two, but it sucks having the superior hardware and yet most games run the same if not better on the ps5. Worth noting it is not actually the same size on Series S and X.
The series S looks like it has better shadows

I’m saying this because the Next Gen games we have or haven’t got yet do not Justify spending 100s more £/$ for Yet Another Next Gen console.
So, Quality mode 4k30 fps and Performance mode 2k60 fps ? Seems pretty good
Thats output resolution after FSR.
Only very few games are actually CPU limited at 60 FPS… the Ryzen 3000 Chips in Series and PS5 Are very much capable of pushing 60+ FPS.
From what I hear from rumors the PS5 pro is only going to be 20% better that will not be enough to run GTA 6 smoothly and fast when it comes out in 2025 if that console upgrade is going to happen that year
@@Ziyoblader GTA 6 is definitely going to be running on the base ps5 and Xbox since that's what they're creating the game for since our consoles are still in the new gen era

It's just a matter of raw power. I think Series S has ¼ of Series X's GPU power, so no surprise why S isn't capable of holding that good with new and real current gen games.
Btw I think Series S owners know what they're paying. I'd like to get one and I already know that console won't perform as good as Series X/PS5

Sony's little doggy
Series s got 1080p 30fps
It's based on what display people have, u can't have a shit 4k tv and accept the game to look good. The reason why i didn't say monitors is because they have no upscaling technology because they are focused on fps.
