Xbox: Delivers a PC like experience which makes It feels better with a faster response time.
The only Xbox flaw is the lack of exclusives. In the end, ANY game both consoles shares, are better experienced on Xbox, but this is something Sony bitches forget about.
When a High setup is available for both (OLED TVs with Freesync/Gsync, HDMI 2.1 etc) Xbox will be on top, simple as that.
Just get a PC if you want better graphics, squinting 30cm from screen comparing is just....sad.

Iv always owned an xbox, simply preferred the controller more than anything. Finally joining the darkside and getting a ps5. Too many good exclusives plus games iv missed over the last few years. Bloodborne, ghost of Tsushima, God Of War, Spiderman, Last of Us etc

I have both and single player games on PS5 are great, however, they are few and far between. It takes you about a week to complete them, whereas Game Pass keeps you busy for longer with the amount of games on there.

I’m a long time PlayStation user and I love my PS5, however I decided to get a Xbox Series X this generation to go along my PS5 and Xbox won me over, Quick Resume and Gamepass is a no brainer, the high tech Dualsense controller is cool but I keep the haptics feedback in low and I disabled the adaptive triggers 90-95% of the time so, I lean towards Xbox this generation but like I said I love my PS5 as well.

I have both consoles, any Xbox does not compete with PS5 in any way. The PS5 exclusives are worth more than the gamepass for me. Not to mention all of Xbox’s exclusives are coming to ps5 anyways.

to be profitable on a subscription model strategy you need to get those high subscriber numbers in. You can see how big streaming services like netflix, disney plus etc. are struggling to keep making profits. I would assume that therefore, microsoft has to realease its Gamepass on Playstation at some point. They are slowly losing its hardware business. Makes no sense owning an xbox series x right now.

For Backwards Compatibility, storage space, and longer battery life controller go Xbox Series X. For a slightly more immersive experience (RPG games) go PS5. For competitive gaming, Xbox by far with $40 Gamesir G7 HE controller (Amazon).
The problem with what you’re saying is that i leave out a very important factor. You’re looking at global sales. Not sales in the US. Microsoft doesn’t readily share this data but we can make some inferences. Not exact but it’s close.
PS5 is beating Xbox by 5 million in Japan. Total sales for PlayStation are just over 5.5 million there. Meaning Xbox has just barely sold half a million consoles.
It’s the same in other parts of the world as well. Sony is eating their lunch everywhere in the world. The US though is a different story. All of these staggering differences lead me to guess that in the US they aren’t that far apart.
Which tells me it’s not the console. It’s the marketing that’s killing them. Or potentially the market. Some markets have a different mindset.

Didnt really care about the PS5 up until the release of Black Myth: Wukong which is not on the series x. Its only available on PC and digitally on the PS5. Now, Im a big xbox guy. But to all those saying that xbox graphics are better than ps5.. then why wasnt wukong released for the xbox?
PS5 has one thing that Xbox does not bigger memory expansions Xbox max is 2tb PS5 has 8tb max, and with games getting bigger that is huge,
Now some say gamepass but is it worth it in the long haul? You do not own the games you rent them, miss a payment or gamepass crashes you lose the games.
I've become so lazy to the point that I genuinely prefer not owning the games to having to get up and swap the games physically on the console. Digital all the way. Physical can only be superior for me if it allows to play without having to insert the CD after the first time. Maybe lock the disc to my console until I uninstall it from my PS5.
In the new generation of consoles, PS5 is not worth it.
Anyone who has not yet purchased a new console should opt for the Series X, and wait for the PS6. It's a more sensible choice... unless you're dying to play every remaster that Sony releases.
I’ve gone back to Xbox again after trying the PS5 for a year. Both great consoles. Exclusives on PS don’t quite make me want to stay. Xbox features, backwards compatibility, prices and controllers feel better. I think the controllers are a big thing for me. Way more sturdy on the Xbox. I went through a couple of PS controllers through wear and tear in just a year. Mainly the R1 and L1 failing. Perhaps I’m heavy handed/bit of a tight gripper.
Bro i feel you, bought the ps5 but now i am planning to switch to XboxSeriesX. Just like you those exclusive just dont do justice for me. All the game i love is from thirdparties, eg. F12024 , motogp24, Mortal Kombat etc etc
Yeah man, I get that. Little additions for me were Splinter Cell titles not being available on PS5. Games like Dishonored and Alien Isolation being 60fps but not 60fps on PS. It all adds up. I played Spiderman and Miles Morales and it’s literally beating people up and then go somewhere else and beat those guys up, then do it again. Still great games for the spiderman experience but definitely not an exclusive to boast about. Ghost of Tsushima is a good example perhaps.
Let me start by saying i have always been a loyal playstation fan. I did own an xbox one a few years back and recently i decided to get the X. My reason for this is I feel a little disappointed with the games the ps5 has to offer so far. Dont get me wrong it is a good console with awesome potential. I also find that xbox always seems that little bit better in terms of its graphical ability and smooth game play. They just do exclusives very well, the studios that produce many of these games are very gamer focussed and attention to detail is always a priority. The whole gaming experience feels polished and aesthetically pleasing to play. It feels like a well refined, mature gaming experience. Also the vast range of good games playable on Game Pass is a winner for me. Still love the ps5 though and it will remain in service for some games!
I have all of them when it comes to deal it's Xbox but when it comes to games it's both Nintendo and PlayStation. PC can beat them all due to having more versatility and emulation with mods or hacks. Xbox hasn't been the same since Xbox 360 as they haven't made anything interesting. The starfield was a disappointment as I felt like it was rushed. Then Xbox doesn't have any gimmicks after they gave up with Kinect. They focused more on subscription and streaming vs actually making games. They finally made a low tier to compete with the cheaper option of subscriptions on PlayStation and Nintendo. Game pass has a massive library that you don't have time to play them all. I compare consoles like food chains. Xbox is buffet, Nintendo is your breakfast restaurant as the menu hardly changes, and PlayStation is your regular restaurant that can serve you variety. Mobile are your fastfood chains. PC would be your high end Michelin star restaurants. Xbox can be overwhelming which makes you miss great games as there's too much. That's the advantage of Nintendo and PlayStation they let you focus on what's good while Xbox is you freestyle.
Okay so the console is selling BUT the software isn't! The casuals are playing Madden, 2k Basketball, Fortnite, Sims ect. Not first party titles which Sony needs to sale! These ponies are so delusional.

Release on console for a year or two before coming to PC so more people get to experience the game, but it also keeps sales on the console for a while. Basically a long term timed exclusive.

I just got a PlayStation 5 the original big one last year when I picked it up from Best Buy when I finshed work in last year of October 2023 and just got an Xbox Series X last Friday from Walmart since it was on sell for $449.00 to me love both consoles but PlayStation has the better exclusives than Xbox does though.

PlayStation has lost me with it's choice to be picky about what games it does or doesn't let have cross-progression. I ordered a Series X and listed my PS5 on eBay. I've had enough of their bs.

Tbh this generation the exclusives argument is pretty much null and void. Sony have been releasing mostly cross gen titles with a few exceptions (spiderman 2) hence the reason why ps4 still has a massive adoption rate. There’s not really been a reason to buy a ps5 for the mainstream. Microsoft have gamepass and I would argue has a huge future with its acquired studios and more games in the making. Both consoles are great and get an even amount of love from me.

I wouldn’t say that Xbox “failed.” Neither has truly succeeded in my opinion. Sony has sold more units and has at most 11 more AAA games. Both systems sold less than the previous gens and have fewer good exclusives.
You have to realize were only 4 years into this gen, and 4 years into last gen there wasn’t a lot of good exclusives
Should also consider how COVID train wrecked everything.
If you play fighting games most of the tournaments are on PlayStation.

None are worth it.. they cant even run 60fps at 4k. Theyre both scam consoles. 2025 games will be even harder to run. Il go with a ps5 pro when it comes out. Gta 6 isnt going to run well on the series x
It's never been an either/or choice - technically, you need to have both for the exclusives. But the point nowadays is: As far as I am concerned, the ONLY exclusive Playstation titles that I ever cared about are now all available for PC (read: Uncharted 4, maybe Ghost of Tsushima). So there's literally no need to buy a PS5, because she doesn't offer ANY game I WANT to play that doesn't already exist for Xbox. As for Xbox Series X: She's backwards compatible to my ENTIRE game library back to the original Xbox - and I -do- have a library that spans all those generations. And here comes the killer argument: GEARS OF WAR. I replay the entire GEARS franchise more than once every year, so thank you very much - you can't do that on Playstation, you can't do that on PC either.
Oh, and unlike the Playstation: The Xbox Series X and S do NOT produce ANNOYING FAN NOISE. You do NOT HEAR those consoles EVER. THEY'RE QUIET. That is the REAL killer argument - and their predecessors, the Xbox One, the One S and the One X have also already been DEAD QUIET! (While the PS4 produced a Jet Engine Fan Noise!)
tl;dr: You want the best gaming console on the planet? Buy a Series X. End of story. (The second best is the Series S - I already own a Series S, and that thing is unbeatable at its price - especially if you can buy her on sale.)

@@engjds I've just done the math, you can build yourself RTX 3080 PC that is barely over 500$ and it would fold your PS5 or Xbox in to a trash can. It will even completely outperform the upcoming PS5 pro... People are crazy sometimes.
@@gytispranskunas4984 I dont have a console, PC is my choice of weapon, you can buy 3080 based 2nd hand for around £500, but to make one for that is a tall order, you can get a XBOX 2nd hand for around £300-which is cheaper than any PC with on par performance. So I get why...
@@engjds what are you talking about. Rtx 3080s go as low as 300$ on used (depends where you live) You can pair it with Ryzen 5 + Mobo + Ram for 150$. Cheap ssd, case, and psu. All that is just over 500$. If you live in an area where GPUs are overpriced, you can go for RTX 3070... Which will still be complete overkill for PS5 or Xbox. Do you really REALLY think your PS5 can even remotely match RTX cards ?... It almost NEVER due 4K. In triple A games it barely does 1200p at 30fps upscaled to 4k. It's pathetic. If you used the same settings on PS5 Cyberpunk as you use on RTX 3070, your consoles could barely manage 5 fps... If it can do that at all. Inside the PS5 there is an RX5700XT equivalent GPU. A 150$ ancient AMD GPU.

Series X didn’t fail it’s my main console for many reasons. I keep my ps5 for there exclusives but that’s it now cod is gonna be on gamepass no use to pay 70 up front for ps5 for bo6.

I have a ps5 that I don’t touch. If you think about it without bias, Xbox is worth more. Gamepass provides many games with huge titles. Day 1 first party comes to gamepass to play. On PS, you will need to purchase the 1st party games because this isn’t the case for them. Of course halo might be garbage or starfield sucks, but you got to try them until you beat them or said this is garbage, then go onto another game.
I KNOW , PS5 Games is coming to PC .. BUT , you need a decent PC .. and 800 Dollars PC which doubles the price of the PS5 runs abit worse , sure it can somehow achieve higher frame rate , but the Frame Time is MILES BETTER on PS5 because it is well optimized ... and not everyone can afford a Decent PC .. which a 500 dollars PS5 exist

I have both and tbh I prefer the Xbox. I like the ecosystem better, quick resume is awesome same with gamepass plus a lot more of my friends and family play Xbox so that’s fun. My PlayStation is fun too but I only play it for games like god of war, the last of us and shadow of the colossus (tried spider man and didn’t like it.) but lately I have been playing a lot more of my PlayStation because I have gotten a psvr 2 and that is really really fun. But if you can’t decide what I will say is get whatever one that more of your friends of family play on. Trust me both of the consoles are fantastic there isn’t one that’s better than the other they both play games. But say you still can’t decided I will say I would recommend the Xbox just a bit more because of gamepass it’s just so damn good or another recommendation is get the console you are most used too (if this isn’t your first console that is) if you had a ps4 get a ps5 if you had an Xbox one get the X.

Except it's not consistent, certainly not in terms of quality. Spider-Man 2 was the last good single player game it had and that was arguably mid in a lot of sections.

I've always had an Xbox since the first one that came out, and I've just stuck with it, for me, it's just a gaming system that plays games. I'm sure if my first console was a PlayStation, I'd probably stuck with PlayStation. Gaming for me is just gaming, something to do for fun, even if it's just pulling out a deck of UNO cards or a game of Monopoly the analog versions😁.
After having the Xbox series x since it dropped and the ps5 for 2 years. I can say that so far ps5 has been killing it. It’s true that this year we’re lacking new ps5 games, but I’m still completing some games so no rush :). I was hoping that Xbox would bring a good competition after the Bethesda and ABK acquisitions but the recent news just killed my hope for this console. I just don’t understand what’s the point of having an Xbox if they’re releasing their games on other platforms (PlayStation included) and shutting down studios at the same time 🤦♂️.

I would say, I won't ever play so many games as I am playing right now with my series X. Because they are cheaper or they have a lot of discounts, the Xbox companies games are with more discounts. I can get the master chief collection for 11 dollars. Yes I am poor, but I am not stealing anyone, I am paying for everything, so for that reason is better for me xbox
In 2024, ps5 has come out with Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy, Rise of Ronin, and Xbox has Hellblade 2. But ps5 has no games lol

I like both consoles. They’re both great next-gen consoles. My only problem with Xbox is that it doesn’t really feel like a new console. The whole UI is exactly the same as the previous console.
PS5 feels nothing like a PS4. The controller is amazingly comfortable, and the console’s UI is really nice.
That being said, if you want a next-gen console, go with whatever you want. Both are amazing.
Seriously considering making the switch from Xbox to PlayStation, games are better, and Sony seem to know what console gamers want. Microsoft don't have much to offer anymore besides the game pass, but a PC can get those games aswell so... why bother with the Xbox.

One X is fine but some new games won’t work on it, some new games coming out will be for series s/X only.
But most games at the moment work for any Xbox one so it’s fine…. It’s up to you.
One x is great for older titles, but it is dead. I have one and I'm considering a series x for the current titles. Also newer titles that do play on one x don't run well. I have upgraded my one x with an SSD and I often prefer playing on my ally. Higher fps, better CPU even with lower graphics. If you are definitely staying with One titles it's great, but its dead.

Gamepass has helped Microsoft some, but so many people have quite a big library of PS4 titles and don't want to lose them by going to Xbox. The backward compatibility for PS4 was such a smart move to keep people on playstation.

After Halo Infinite getting worse overtime my Xbox has been collecting dust …. Occasionally playing my Xbox 360 library when Xbox had better experience with exclusives….. Since launch I’ve been spending the majority of my time on the new PlayStation 5 with better quality of exclusives.

Games back then were a lot smaller. Try fitting 120gbs of data onto a dvd, a 20+ year old platform. I've been gaming since the 90s and I think technology has come such a long way. I can wait to install a game.

I've been an Xbox fan ever since the 360 first launched in 2005. If it weren't for the backwards compatibility, controller comfort, left thumb stick above the dpad, the exclusives, and the history of games that I purchased throughout the course of 10 years I would DEFINATELY choose the PS5 as my console

PlayStation 5 was killing Xbox even before it was slim my guy.😂 it's not the new design that caused PlayStation to out sell Xbox🤷 ps5 has always had the better games. It has the dual sense and feels more like a newer gen console from the ps4 pro than the series X does from the one x.
I don’t know how anyone can think that Xbox is even competing with the news of the studio closures with more to come, the focus on mobile and cloud gaming, the lackluster exclusives every year. The fact that you can play all its games on PC. PS5 has plenty of games on PC sure but it also has lots of games that aren’t on there.
They aren’t competing which is which why they are starting to bringing games to ps5
xbox strategy isn't clear right now. If they focus on the subscription Model with Gamepass, they need to open up on all platforms to get higher subscription numbers. This strategy on the other, makes owning an xbox console obsolete.

I have both a xbox series x and a ps5 and i liked spiderman, i kinda liked gran turismo, for xbox the game pass, the new recent exclusives they all have been nice, but if i had to choose i would prefer an xbox series x just because its more convenient to what i mainly play, dont get me wrong the ps5 dual sense remote is nice i just prefer the UI, the apps and games on xbox plus i have been using xbox since 2010 and i tried a ps3 ps4 id still go for xbox, they are just more simpler to use in my opinion

Xbox isn't really worth getting if you already have a capable pc imo. But the Series S, hot damn it's so good. For around 300 dollars or lower, with devkit, you can turn it into an emulation machine.

I can’t pick either. I have had every single version of these consoles. My dad gifted me his ps1, ps2, and ps3 when he got tired of games. I got a ps4 in 2016. And now I have the ps5 slim because a prefer it over the standard model. I got the original Xbox from my uncle and I got the 360 from my cousin. I got a Xbox one at the same time as the ps4 and then I got the Xbox one S and Xbox series X, I used the Xbox one X and the series S but I prefer them the other way around. I’m so lucky that I got all these consoles and honestly it feels uncomfortable sometimes knowing I have like every major version of the PlayStation and Xbox consoles and when I tell people sometimes they don’t believe me. I didn’t want all these consoles but no one else wants them, so I have to keep them until I can figure out what to do with them

People give me shit all the time for having a PC and spending more money than a console while getting fried by someone while playing cod or whatever other FPS is on both. Honestly its just the best of both worlds when it comes to gaming, at least for me. Most single player games from both are accessible, same with multiplayer. The days i loved consoles were for split screen single player games, which are all but dead now days, and I wish upon so many stars that they would bring it back, that was the true peak.
Exactly. We need more titles like It Takes Two. One of the things I like using my playstation for are the co op games. Outside of It takes Two, Overcooked and Moving Out there's not much there.. The Switch is the better experience for that
