Disharmony is such a nice feature, tbh. It kinda sets player back into place, reminding what world they're in. Btw, mindless destruction of flora can also trigger it. So be a Na'vi, not an RDA ambassador :D
The purple circle filling up for the "permanent buffs" is actually for points of interest. It'll mark Ikran Gear Baskets, Sarentu Totems, Data Collectors and other things later in the game. But yes, most of the time it's either a Bellsprig or Tarsyu Sapling.
I actually don’t want to change the gathering complexity at all… this is probably my favourite feature in the game, and having everything done so quickly is not the way I play these kind of games.

Seriously, I've watched a couple videos similar to this and all of them point this out, a bit of a shame people want to get rid of arguably one of the most entertaining mechanic in the game. Same with the SID hacking.
@@mryesman4189 That isn't true at all. You can still get fine superior or exquisite. It just depends on the conditions when you gather if you'll get the max amount of health, damage ect
So ima say this since i dont see anyone else mention it anywhere else in these videos.. If you are harvesting and accidentally ruin the pristine bonus by pulling hard in the wrong direction-CANCEL THE HARVEST->then RETRY and do it properly, you will still get the pristine bonus :)
For harvesting you can also avoid messing up by rotating the item your harvesting and look for an area on the radial that pulls a little more then press to harvest, there is a slight sound queue as well to indicate that you found the right area
Thissss ^^^ and also! All material species types have the same "sweet spot!" So a certain type of moss will always be "top left and pull" or a certain fruit will always be "bottom left and pull" so it pays off to pay attention too!
if you look closely you will get little butterfly's flying around that specific fruits trees or roots whatever you gathering 3 is superior and 8 is exquisite
The ps5 controller adaptive Triggers and heptic feedback when SID hacking and plucking fruits is the most fun part in game. The triggers resistance and vibration on ur finger is so satisfying. Even using ps5 controller on PC works too. So u definitely don't want to turn on auto.
I like the option with auto on because you can either use it or do the puzzle yourself. As a beginner, I like to play the easier ones, but the bigger and complicated ones, I get killed off while trying to do them, so I use the auto fill puzzle for those complicated ones... great to have choices if your new at gaming.
I’m like 60+ hours in and around 56% through the main storyline… love the game. Thanks for the tips video, I had worked out most of thre tips through gameplay, including the disharmony 😂 … but still one or two I didn’t know about!

It's definitely a worth the 13 year wait from when the first avatar came out that game alone was revolutionary and now this is just brilliantly telling the story after avatar 2 came out this game takes place 5 years after the events of avatar 2 and its so beautifully told

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I found your site. I'm new to gaming (and senior) and was having SO much trouble with some of the stuff you talked about. No one, in any other videos I watched, had such great tips for beginners like me. I could not figure out the darn jumping so fell over and over... now I know why, "hold" the darn button. Why don't they tell that in the tutorials? Anyway, thank you SO much, now I think I can play this game much better and will be looking forward to anymore of this game you can post. Hacking the armoured guys would be nice, and it looked kinda like you can in the video, so I will try that as I get killed over and over and over... but eventually (3 hrs. for the towers) I get it done. Was gonna need therapy if I hadn't gotten your simple tricks/hints, plus my cardiologist would be upset watching me trying to play... Wonderful video!!!
i am an older gamer, my advice is get the Ikran ASAP by only doing the main missions then hunt down all the wellsprings and flowers to get more health and abiltys most of which are real game changers.
@@stephenmeinhold5452 Thanks, I'm having a love/hate relationship with this game. It can be so hard trying to locate the stuff, even using the Navi Sense. The map won't let me move on to other areas until I finish some of the missions which can be very hard if I have to battle RDA's, and there is the love/hate. ha Having a disability of essential tremors makes it very hard for me to hold the sights steady when aiming so it takes me hours to finish a battle, but eventually I get it done (come close to throwing that controller though). I just tried riding my Ikran into battle yesterday and that was interesting, they can't shoot me as easily. I wish getting skill points was a little easier, and finding stuff was a little easier, but I'm still liking the game. Horizon was the only one I've ever done, and I loved that one, it was easier for me.
@@Sunnyacres55 i get what you are saying and i had a very similer expreance so much so i stopped playing it for a week and thought WTF have i done it was £60.00. but i went back just to see what it was like, no pressure and wandered around aimlessly and some how i came across stuff tha made me stronger, as the RDA are no pushovers. so avoid them until you are at least at level six,or avoid them compleatly and just do some side missions as practise and leveling up as the weapons you get early on are patheticly week. check out joe raptor for more tips and just enjoy the world of pandora. all the best mate.
Thank you, I tried this yesterday as I was already in the Upper Plains but it won't let me quite get there flying, the clouds come in and the bird doesn't want to fly in it and makes me turn back. Is there a level I have to be before I can get the free travel skill?
@@mikepatton8691 There was one of those "pink" glowing areas, just like when it shows where an "ancestor skill" is located, way up in the northern area of Upper Plains... when I hovered my cursor over it, it stated "free fast travel skill" so I placed a marker over it and tried to fly there to get it. It kept clouding over me and my bird didn't want to fly that way.
Once you get yoru Ikon makes it easier, the onyl thign i do hate is trying to fidn the smaller plants that give hp, kind if wish they have power to spot them easier.
Okay I haven't seen the second film, and I think it's been like 7+ years since I watched the first one, but that Navi in your thumbnail looks weird. I don't remember their eyes being so far apart. I don't know why that caught me so off guard.

I just found this and thought it might help with some of the frustration I M sensing you could br\e having. He says that the methodology of learning this game is not great.
Some very good and helpfull tips but i just enjoy roaming around or flying around in the enviroment which is the most beautifull and dense i have ever seen. that allows me to get the buffs and health and the cool abilitys, get your ikran first as a lot of them are high up in cliffs, then combat is the easyer and more fun, but what i like about it the most is you realy can play it your way.
Yeah its the same for me, im on pc Using a dual senare Edge and I cant Change the deadzones to make it smooth. Its stuck at 24 snd ehenever i change it just goes back to 24
Same. It's bugged. I noticed that if you lower it just 1 point down and then move it back up it gets fixed. But you have to do it every time you login into the game 🤨

Before you buy, BEWARE - you can get locked out of the base/main game before you finish it! Lots of people report being unable to finish the main game, because at random times the game decides that you need the (paid!) DLC to continue and it will not allow you to continue your game unless you pay for the dlc! It has been like that since the first DLC came out, so I suspect that scam was their plan from the beginning and they do it on purpose!
There's NPC in the game that will give you items and some are the superior fruits, teeth yada yada that are for donating and quests and each new day ruffishly you can talk to them again and get that same item. When you do it take a screen shot and name it what you received so you can look back if you forget.
Hard disagree when you say don't do side stuff before main stuff...This game is absolutely BRUTAL even on easy mode, it's way over-tuned. For those of us who can't use WEMOD or Cheat Engine we're stuck doing side missions until we get stronger, more gear.
Appreciate this video. This is one game I was SOO excited to get into only to be severely dissapointed. The graphics are absolutely amazing, but navigating the game is a complete nightmare. But I'm hopeful your tips give me a second chance at this game.
select a mission then find it on the map, even though it has a purple plume on the map and you can see it with hunter vision its a pain, so mark it as well that way you can always know which direction from the compus at the top. as someone that has no sense of direction i find it very helpfull.
Let me guess you forgot to take it off of exploration mode in the settings. Put it on guidance mode makes the game come alive more. I almost deleted it before I changed to guidance.
@@Imhimdogg I actually don't recall even seeing that option in the settings. I've deleted it and haven't even considered throwing the disc in since around Christmas time to be quite honest.. Just wasn't enjoying the game, which I had some high hopes for. But now that I know about this, you can bet that I'll be installing it tonight when I get home and trying to see if that makes it anymore tollerable for me! THanks so much!
@@ryan9020 no problem. It’s pretty much shows you the blue icon where your quest is when you use Navi senses. I was having a hard time trying to find any thing when I first started now since using that im a level 11 with a decked out Ikran. Enjoy.

I got the constant tinnitus effect in-game, making me unable to focus at all, how do I fix this? Edit: I turned off the effect in audio, but I'm still unable to use my Na'vi senses

While I completely agree with you, and I much prefer the immersive elements of those mini-games being enabled, I do totally understand that for some people it is just too much to have to do potentially thousands of repetitions of each variety in a given playthrough. And I would much rather see them be able to disable those elements and consequently finish the game, than to have them get fed up with it over those elements and potentially abandon the playthrough so they can move on to the next title they want to play.
Great video. Did you ever have issues with storage during crafting? Sometimes it says "Not Enough Room" or something when I'm trying to just pin the recipe. No idea what to do.
Dude me too!! I can't track almost all of my stuff because of it and haven't found anything online on how to fix it. I've dropped items and everything trying to "make room" but nothing works. Let me know if you find out anything
I havent experienced disharmony from killing too many animals. I did however recieve the debuff from killing a friendly animal. I killed one of the horse/mount animals (dont remember the name) because i wanted to see if i could get meat from it and the game immediately gave me disharmony for killing a peaceful creature.
I got disharmony when I shot an animal walking along the river with an arrow in it. I thought it was suffering, and was suppose to put it out of its "misery" so shot it... got disharmoney and couldn't figure out why. I guess you're suppose to remove the arrow????
@@Sunnyacres55I saw in another video that you can help wounded or chipped animals by taking that stuff off them. You have to go towards them slow or something to not spook them
Yes there are storage bins at every camp. At the small portable camps there are storage bins beside the cooking station. There are also donation bins where you "sell" items to the tribe.
I’m kinda regretting my purchase of this game. The story is generic and uninteresting. The characters dull and 1 dimensional. The combat and skills are simple without any complexity, and the AI is stupid. Really underwhelming experience. The only thing they nailed is the world.

You can’t get higher level items that way anyway. So you’ll never gather purple or yellow stuff taking the short cut

True,it takes 2 seconds to do it once you learn each plant direction,is fun. The painting memories though are a pain in the rear😂

If you pet the ikran long enough the prompt and back out buttons disappear as you put your ikran to sleep from all the affection it's being given

True but those on PC or Xbox don’t have the adaptive triggers.

This game uses the adaptive triggers better than any game that I can remember. It’s pretty cool.

The world of pandora that they created is absolutely stunning.
It really is a gorgeous and immersive world. Getting the Ikran really opens it up but I quite liked exploring on foot to really take it in.

There is a perk where you can get ‘free fast travel’ which means no energy expended. Get that as early as you can to avoid a lot of depletion.

They grow near water, just go to a river or lake and you will see plenty of them nearby

when you turn off the gathering in settings you will still get the exquisite fruits
unless you get the ancestor skill called free fast travel which doesnt take any of your energy when you travel long distances

Appreciate this video. This is one game I was SOO excited to get into only to be severely dissapointed. The graphics are absolutely amazing, but navigating the game is a complete nightmare. But I'm hopeful your tips give me a second chance at this game.
select a mission then find it on the map, even though it has a purple plume on the map and you can see it with hunter vision its a pain, so mark it as well that way you can always know which direction from the compus at the top.
as someone that has no sense of direction i find it very helpfull.
Let me guess you forgot to take it off of exploration mode in the settings. Put it on guidance mode makes the game come alive more. I almost deleted it before I changed to guidance.
@@Imhimdogg I actually don't recall even seeing that option in the settings. I've deleted it and haven't even considered throwing the disc in since around Christmas time to be quite honest.. Just wasn't enjoying the game, which I had some high hopes for. But now that I know about this, you can bet that I'll be installing it tonight when I get home and trying to see if that makes it anymore tollerable for me! THanks so much!
@@ryan9020 no problem. It’s pretty much shows you the blue icon where your quest is when you use Navi senses. I was having a hard time trying to find any thing when I first started now since using that im a level 11 with a decked out Ikran. Enjoy.

I got the constant tinnitus effect in-game, making me unable to focus at all, how do I fix this? Edit: I turned off the effect in audio, but I'm still unable to use my Na'vi senses
The jumping thing is insaine, there is NO spot where you cant go, plus the game is a cake walk after certain skills 😂😂 🍰 walk

@@SwanyPlaysGames maybe it's just me. IDK. I came from other videos and they were at a certain volume level, and then on yours I've had to adjust and it was still quiet, but no worries. Great content. Also imo, all in one is better than a bunch of scattered videos. Less chance for YT to jump to other channels and miss ou the follow up to the current video ;)

I don’t understand why you would do any of the first 3 tips it makes the game more immersive and that’s what this is all about!! It will also help with that stress your going thorough get deeply immersed!! anyway otherwise Gg
While I completely agree with you, and I much prefer the immersive elements of those mini-games being enabled, I do totally understand that for some people it is just too much to have to do potentially thousands of repetitions of each variety in a given playthrough.
And I would much rather see them be able to disable those elements and consequently finish the game, than to have them get fed up with it over those elements and potentially abandon the playthrough so they can move on to the next title they want to play.
Great video. Did you ever have issues with storage during crafting? Sometimes it says "Not Enough Room" or something when I'm trying to just pin the recipe. No idea what to do.
Dude me too!! I can't track almost all of my stuff because of it and haven't found anything online on how to fix it. I've dropped items and everything trying to "make room" but nothing works. Let me know if you find out anything

Oh my goodness, thank you for showing me the character changer, I am really not a fan of the male voice actor
I havent experienced disharmony from killing too many animals. I did however recieve the debuff from killing a friendly animal. I killed one of the horse/mount animals (dont remember the name) because i wanted to see if i could get meat from it and the game immediately gave me disharmony for killing a peaceful creature.
I got disharmony when I shot an animal walking along the river with an arrow in it. I thought it was suffering, and was suppose to put it out of its "misery" so shot it... got disharmoney and couldn't figure out why. I guess you're suppose to remove the arrow????
@@Sunnyacres55I saw in another video that you can help wounded or chipped animals by taking that stuff off them. You have to go towards them slow or something to not spook them

Yes there are storage bins at every camp. At the small portable camps there are storage bins beside the cooking station. There are also donation bins where you "sell" items to the tribe.
I’ve been focussing on donating items for clan favour, basically the only selling mechanic.

I’m kinda regretting my purchase of this game. The story is generic and uninteresting. The characters dull and 1 dimensional. The combat and skills are simple without any complexity, and the AI is stupid. Really underwhelming experience. The only thing they nailed is the world.
