Handsome Ilocanos & captivating Ilocanas💜 Thanks to Michael for this more peaceful, serene presentation of Vigan ilocos Sur. The more touristy presentations I’ve viewed (such as from 👸🏻Miss Universe pageants, they frequently do the side trips to Vigan for 📸photo shoots 😄) & official tourism departments, haven’t had this …atmospheric quality. Though they presented the area well. I just appreciate M’s take.
Thanks for showing Vigan. I can't believe how much it looks like Italy Spain or Mexico. Looking forward to moving to Philippines next year and checking this place out too.
This place similar to many Mexican colonial pueblos, it's not a coincidence since many Mexican families emigrated here and built the town alongside Spaniards and Filipinos.
Your right Michael, northern Luzon doesn't get the tourist attention like it's southern counterparts. I've never heard of this place but thanks to you, their tourism may just go up. Thanks for sharing such a lovely place called Vigan
That's make it even more charming. I wouldn't exchange the greatness of Northern Luzon to the beaches of Visayas. You know what the other white vlogger named Good Samaritan visited Vigan in 2022 I guess and outside of the city proper there's a very beautiful place I couldn't remember the name though.
Ilocos Sur is quite exposed when it comes to tourism and all, Ilocos Norte isn't that exposed, however Ilocos Norte is the Balikabayan Province of the Philippines. And the best part of the north is that the cost of living is very low, from rent to almost everything. As per safety, it is one of the safest and cleanest province in the whole country

Try also in the landmark of ou r prisedent bongbong marcos the pagidpud ilocos nortw so many spanish house therw too and the hannah beach hotel resort ppagudpud the bluelagoon beach.. so beautiful fresh seafoods and nice place.
Thanks for showing Vigan. It's well presented. Vigan is indeed a beautiful city. It reminds me of some cities that I have seen in South America, Central America, and Spain. I originally came from the Philippines but have been out of the country for over 55 years. I'm watching from Sydney, Australia.

After 45 years I’ve seen Vigan again in your blog. It feels good reminiscing my past through your videos! Hope to see Ilocos Norte where I spent my school break during my early childhood until my teenage years in your blog.
Another amazing video Michael strange how things work out your life change has seemingly pushed your vlogging to a whole new level you are definitely at the top end of vloggers in the Philippines.

Finally a different type of town.. Well I just put this beauty on my bucket list when I retire in the Phils. I will pile on with your drone footage being great at the end. Great job Michael! -=Efrain=-
That street where you bought the t shirts has no electrical or telephone wires. It looks very neat that way. Wish that all streets in the Philippines are like that.
💯 Agree! ... Also, the real walking streets with no vehicles are awesome. ... Did you try the KALESA, Michael? I hope you did. They're roomier than the trikes, right?
Wow, never heard of this place. I've been to various parts of Luzon , but never been here. Hope to visit this place next time I visit from the US. Thanks for promoting tourism in this beautiful unknown travel destination.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wow. Just saw the drone work at the end, drifting through the peaceful streets to a soothing melody. I could put that on loop and drift off to sleep ! If you have an extended , (5 or 10 minute version of that) I know it would be a hit. Just magical. the pub looked like an ideal place to hang out with friends, as you did. Lots of cool shops to explore. thank you for taking us along !
This is one of my favorite vlogs about the Philippines. Your shot of Vigan at night at the end with the Spanish guitar is such a beautiful scene. I've taken a clip of it, and shared it with my friends pm or group chat. I hope you don't mind. 🙂
I don’t think it’s ancient but colonial since it’s been built during the Spanish colonization. You will not see any ancient houses in the Philippines ‘cause they’re not made of concrete, stones or mud
I'm sure I'll add more to this comment but... just saw the drone flyover of your hotel, and once more - PERFECT choice of music . You really capture the essence of being there. You my friend, have a gift.
Thank you for vlogging the Ilocos provinces where I was from. I have been living in California for more than 50 years now. Watching your vlogs makes me feel me feel physically there sans horse poo.
You gave justice in showcasing this city. I was there for four years back then with my college. We used to ride in "kalesa" carriage with my college mates who are residents of that place and we roamed around the city I considered my second home. Enjoy your stay .crisologo street is always busy days and nights. ❤
I love Vigan. Reminds me of Cuba before it's downturn. Vigan is in the northern part of the Philippines which gets less tourists. Most western tourists want to go to beaches, which the north is not famous for.
@@sandiego92155 Worst thing about Cuba is their constant meddling in other countries. They are the only reason Maduro clings to power. Nevermind how disastrous his government has been for Venezuela
My family is from Iloilo, never been to Vigan. Currently in the U.S. for 41 years. Thank you for your travel vlog. Vigan seems beautiful & really vintage.
Love the old world charm. As a solo traveler, this place reminds me of those small towns and villages in Europe and Mexico (minus the tourists) that inspires me to keep traveling. So glad you went when there was less crowd so I got to appreciate and enjoy your vlog. Didn’t seem rushed at all. Evening scenes were fantastic! Thanks😊
Here's something for the next round of beers at the next stop! Your vids are very engaging; I felt like I was also sitting at that bar listening to your friend describe the mountain trek he is about to go on. 🍺🍺🍺
When I was a kid, it was the Vigan tapa with fried eggs i wanted for breakfast. The last restaurant on the right before the parking lot in the end has tapa.
History: You will know it is an old city/ municipal in the Philippines when you see a plaza (or town square) in between a cathedral and the capitol/ municipal government buildings. It was designed naturally to keep the balance and separate power between the church and the states. It was designed during the Spanish era to make sure that the church won't influence the government's works and vice versa, however, the two power must be nearby to make sure that the ruling of the government will always be based with the spiritual guidance of the Church. Before, when the Spaniards introduced Christianity (conquered the Philippines) the church or the friers always intervenes in the policy and rules of the state and because of this, the Filipino leaders and officials make it sure that it will never ever happen again by putting a town square or a plaza in between both powers.❤ Enjoy your stay in our beloved Philippines.🇵🇭👍🙏
Your vlog episodes always put a smile on my face esp after a long day at work. I see Vigan hasn't lost its charm. Seems like a lifetime since I was last there. Lots more to see up north, Mike, a whole new world up there esp in the Cordilleras. Keep going, mate, and stay safe. 👌
The North is beautiful white sandy beaches, rolling hills, mountain views from Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Regions, Cagayan Valley paddy fields, corn fields, Baguio , Cordillera Mountains, Spring wates falls and Lakes, Nueva Vizcaya From Eastern and Western Luzon Newly built high ways up hills and to the top etc. There are many nice places where people are not talking about it. Better Roads and Transportation than in the South of Philippines
wonderful video production, you brought the best in the City, professionally done not ever before I've seen from other vloggers in the Vigan City, local or foreign. Thank you very much!
They do have a black sand beach named Mindoro Beach. Compared to most other Philippines cities, it seems like you can more easily and safely walk around the city. Very cool place!
Watching your walk around the city streets are kept in great shape and I saw overall everything is clean, very surprising and a well deserved shoutout to the city government..😊

In fact, so many structures there were damaged. But i'm glad they were able to patch things up and everything seems to be back to normal now. :)
wow, what a beautiful city. love the vibe there. hard to believe a city like that existing in the philippines. I'd love to spend some time there exploring its beauty. hopefully you'll film the fountain area lit up at night. please tell us what there is to do in that city.

I drove up to Vigan last April, flying into Clark & renting a car. I spent 2 nights in San Juan, La Union, for a bit of surfing, then drove up from San Juan to Vigan in around 4 hours. The architecture & infrastructure in Vigan are truly striking. (I recommend a visit to the old prison, where the republic’s 2nd president, Elpidio Quirino, was born.
