Hi everyone, it took about 2 years to find this perfect frame kit including one year to choose each component of the bike to make it perfect for me. I am proud to present the assembly's video to you today. Good question, I confess that I didn't think to weigh the bike. I am currently on vacation, I promise that I tell you when I return ;)
how long will a carbon bike like this LOOK last for a normal fixed gear rider, riding an hour to three a day in an urban city environment?
I am looking at the LOOk bike now as I found one for 2000 dollars... but will it last me as long as a steel bike or aluminium in my type of environment in daily bike riding life?
The frame is aluminum, not carbon. You can tell because of the welds at tube junctions.
What is the weight of the bike?
what's your gear ratio ? :)
There are a lot of climbs in my city so I am in a little ratio 46/17 but for a long flat ride I am in 53/17 👌🏻

Hey man nice bike!
I have a couple of questions regarding the frameset as I have the same one:
1. the seat tube is 31.8mm but you seem to be using the 31.6mm seatpost. Is this ok?
2. Do you have any metal ring between the bottom headset bearing and the fork? I don't have it either but it just seems a bit wierd to me
3. Which compression plug do you use for the carbon fork? How big is it? Is it located on the level that imatches the middle of your stem?

To answer your questions:
1 - The seat tube is a 31,6 and not a 31,8. It is the interior that must be measured.
2 - Look carefully at 2:50. If it's a metal ring like at 3:20 in the video, then there isn't one and that's normal.
3 - I use the compression plug I had with the frame kit. I can't tell you how long it is, but it's a 1 1/8 inches and I think it's called a "x-cross" and is located towards the top of the fork tube because it is not very long.

That’s wierd that you have 31.6mm tube perhaps there were different versions of the frame. Mine is definitely 31.8 from the inside
As for the compression plug I would advice you to replace it with a longer one, as the stock one does not compensate properly the torque from the stem. Otherwise it can be dangerous to ride like this. Or mb I am just paranoid about that
@@betmakh That's wierd you have 31,8mm tube hahahaha because my seatpost is a 31,6mm as you can see in the video's description and at 2:00 it fit perfectly so...
Thank for the warning, but I've never had any problems with it since I got the bike. If one day I feel something wrong, I'll look to change it ;)

hi, the 2 frames are equally good, it depends on the style you want to give your bike. For lubricants and grease, search for "bike grease", and you'll find everything you need.

I don''t remember clearly but I think it's this one: FSA ORBIT IS 1"1/8 IS41

There’re absolutely awesome ! I have a really good feeling with them
They're bomb-proof, have decent aero benefits, look great, aren't expensive, very stiff, and are easy to service. You have to use their supplied lockring, which is a little soft so you have to be careful when tightening it that you don't "ovalize" it. I've used them on an indoor track on a track specific bike and on a second set on my track bike for the streets. excellent wheelchoice.

Why did you install the bar tape backwards? I have the same on my bike but in grey and the gradient is beautiful if you install it properly.
It is not upside down. I followed the instructions of the brand. And when I tried to put it with the black part on top to test, it wasn’t very nice for me and then it’s in that direction we place a bar tape 😅✌🏻

I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
But the frame is a track frame… not a road frame 🤷🏻♂️
