No idea why but I had this in my recommended section so decided to click on it and give it a watch. Wasn't expecting to enjoy t as much as I did! Hearing the tones brought back memories of standing on an overpass bridge, with my mate, gesturing for them to sound their horns. Great memories :)

Passed my class 1 in 1976, our trucks had no sleeper cabs, we sleept across seats, use to be aways 3/4 nights aweek on multidrop and collection work, no sat navs, no mobile phones, no Taco we used lie sheets, (log books) and trailers were all rope and sheet, but still loved the job, keep up the good work and stay safe out there
Class video, I live just next to the Team Valley! The A1 is being upgraded to 3 lanes (4 lanes southbound) between Team Valley and Washington where it turns into a Motorway. Needs a new bridge over the railway line hence all the construction. Third bit of A1 upgrading round here, the Newcastle bypass is getting 3 lanes each way and best one is it’s being dualled all the way from Morpeth to Ellingham near Berwick. Rightly so we’ve waited long enough. Whole thing needs dualling (grade separated) to Edinburgh!

I've slept in my car over night and drove early morning for about a few years so i know the good good feeling you were talking about hahaha, somthing about living in it and changing scenery that my house doesn't offer.

I’m in the process of doing my HGV class 1 license, any advice on finding work as a new driver. I am not new to large vehicles. I am currently a bus driver, so I have a little idea of what it’s like to drive large vehicles.

Loving the vlogs, I live just north of Gateshead, was very strange watching my journey home from work haha. The road works on/around bowes incline (just before team valley) is to widen the road, its a huge project taking until 2025 to complete.

I’m an owner operator in the western United States. Us drivers here, if we have to over night on a side street always check our pins first thing to for the same reason. If we over night at a truck stop you’re generally ok and don’t have to worry as much but still always check before taking off. Great vlog Tim! Love seeing the differences and the similarities to us here in the states.

Check out "skills for logistics, young lgv driver training scheme"...get ya car licence dun asap...keep ya nose clean, no points while u complete ur lgv1 training...soon as u pass ur lgv1 test apply at ur local lgv recruitment agencies 4 one ov pallet networks (much easier than tramping or multidrop) night shift (roads r much quieter while u cut ur teeth+night pay is £17+ p/hr) 👍👍👍 you'll be taking home £650+ per week.....p.s. nice Bichon 😎

Hi Tim , loving the content , i used to love sleeping in my 7.5ton lorry 3 nights a week , pick up a takeaway, park up tv on and getting a good nights sleep . Nothing compares to sleeping in the lorry . Keep the content coming, can't wait for the next installment, happy tones Tim 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
TT you should go up the A19 through the tyne tunnel for some tunnel tones ! Little out the way but could be worth it
after sleeping in the lorry always feels food because you don't have the wife taking the covers

Almost a year on from this video's release and it's amazing to see how far Tim has come. Gone from spending nights out in the Volvo, to possibly buying it from Data Shredders to add to his Scania collection. I've loved watching this channel grow from even when it was just TikTok. Let's hope we get GL12 WUM back on the channel!

Yeah not a clue why the algorithm's churned this one out, interesting vid. As a non-lorry driver, can anyone explain to me why lorry drivers attempt to overtake other lorry drivers so frequently? Pulling out erratically, holding up the right hand lane, gaining such little distance over the other lorry, and then inevitably a roundabout appears on an A road and it's all been for nothing. Seems like such an unnecessary action with such a MASSIVE vehicle.
If we were all in the normal traffic Lane, and the middle lane drivers were in the middle
Everyone would be trying to over take in one lane on the outside, it would be carnage!

Might sound stupid... But all the trucking videos I watch, no one has the radio on. Do your lorries even have them/ are you allowed to listen to music?
Did 10 years of European work, up to 3 weeks away at a time. The first couple of nights out are fun but after a while it just becomes a huge drag.
I go truckspotting at Leeming Bar as lots of nice trucks go there. If you ever go to Middlesbrough I’d recommend the A19 and let me know if you do as I go spotting along the A19
