    My brother-in-law and I built a 62 Ford and put a 350 Chevrolet engine in it and it ran great 👍

    Great technique using the block of wood to scribe along the fender to get the curve you needed.

    I Put a Studebaker truck body on a Chevy S10 chassi. Dropped an old mid '60s inline six in it. It has an Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Dash cluster, '53 chevy Belair tail lights, and Nissa seats. No Fear! Great job man!

    Div, WOW, that came out truly awesome. I love the surgery bits. Keeping you away from the pub is working...more content for us. You must get yourself some "TEK" screws. Awesome for holding things together when mocking up. Would be great to see more the truck from a little distance away to get a feel for the entire look. Great job once again. Thank you for sharing.

      Thanks brother! Got some of those TEK screws, but sometimes I prefer a M4 bolt and nut. If you do many fittings, the TEK screw thread strips on thin metal.

    No rules in Rat Rat Bro. Use as many makes and models as it takes. The most important make and model is one having the vin. tag ! (arguably) One of the first rat rods was the Beverly Hillbillies truck from the American TV series . It wasn't actually a truck at all by what was left of a 1927 Oldsmobile. Tremendous amount of work in this video ! Good Job !!!!!!!!

    perhaps fill the cove down the bed sides with nice wood?? or with painted patterns, then you'd want to put some up front.. cover with a bracket to hold pipes as work truck? Sides may look better after looking at it a week.. Fun watching you think, cut, weld, smile...

    Cheers from Alaska. Cut a piece of exhaust tubing the diameter of that contour in half and weld it down both sides. It will match bottom you made and make the Ford side unrecognizable. Could even hinge caps on end and store fishing poles in it. Lol. Put tail lights in it even.

      @@ratrodsafrica It would not make the Ford side unrecognizable. It would just make it look like the older version ( a bumpside). But the fishing pole storage idea is great.

    Looking good Diff. You could make a rebar framework to mount rear light to mask over pie cuts.. then let it rust.. maybe needs a topper on bed. Framework with pallet wood instead of canvas. Removable if needed. Job looking a good one Diff. Coming along nice. Maybe name it the mongrel. Lol. Wheels are ugly. I made up some moon disks in black for my ride. On my 89 Saab 900.     Diff I would have put the fenders on the outher way, headlights forward, like my fenders wider at the front, but that's just me, keep going looks good

    I've seen it before and it usually looks really cool, use the rear quarters from an old 50s car that has tail fins! Maybe in the next build???????? :D

    Depending on year of VW bug and/or it it was an aftermarket fender, most body parts are zinc coated to my knowledge.

    P.s I got an engine and semi automatic 3 speed gearbox i can donate seems your on such a tight budget. You can run 3 on the tree brother!.
    It's out of a Honda C90 chicken chaser. You may have to gear it down a tad if I'm honest, plus acceleration may be a bit steady'ish, but you'd get there eventually. Let me know!! 😎

    Fantastic build ! I love watching it come together. Funny, I would only say that who is to decide that both sides have to be symetrical? If you are happy with the results, that's what matters.
