Great job reusing parts from your salvage yard Duff.
I was watching a show about patina
    If you mix:
    16 ounces Hydrogen Peroxide
    2 ounces white vinegar
    1 table spoon salt
Mix it in a spray bottle
The patina comes instantly in seconds without waiting

You are a true artist. You are a trickster as well. My 1919 Dodge roadster pickup started life as a Ford Courier rat rod. I had an idea to take the word FORD on the tailgate cut out and reverse the R and weld it perfectly back into the gate. I am not an expert welder like you but I would love to see you do something like that - keep people guessing.

Night times occasionally down to 0 degrees C, day time peaks typically 15-20. Nothing like the northern parts of the States. We never get snow.

As always lekker job boet. I'm fascinated when you decide to get into nature for a moment, letting us see the creatures living around you. I thought you might go back to the Nissan for the tailgate, reusing the original tailgate, then you used the door.
