I just got these for my 2024 KYM XC-W. My trail riding season is paused bc of weather but super excited. Just yard riding I have noticed the front end to be much more stable and confident at speed. Seems to eat up the little bumps and roll over diagonal branches instead of slipping or bouncing and losing the front end.
I usually put some thread seal tape on the threads of the damper rod before taking it out or installing so it doesn’t damage the cartridge seal. I had to learn that the hard way.
If you have 4CS forks......just buy a couple of pogo sticks and bolt them on.... that would be an upgrade 🤣🤣 Honestly,they are terrible! I had them on a 16 350SXF
Would you suggest installing the Dal Soggio XR kit on the 2025 WP pro cone valve forks that come on the 2025 KTM 300 XCW Factory Edition rather than changing the 20 nm bottoming spring with a 12 nm spring ?
That’s a great question. I can’t really say because I’ve never tested those forks but I would imagine that they would make. Really cool setup having the cone mid valve and a bladder base valve.
@@highlandcyclesLol they made forks before with cones in the mid and bladder up top I own them… cones are terrible for plushness even with the bladder up top stock yz250x forks are better in all ways
@@highlandcycles Most will say otherwise. MX Tech allows you to feel the terrain much better with better hold up while still remaining plush. Better quality components overall as well. If you want plushness and don't want to feel the terrain and what the wheel is in contact with then the Dal Soggio is a better choice. Both have slight pro's.
@@kurtheidelbach I hear ya but by friend who just went to 6 days last year prefers the bladder. I might try them eventually. For feel I personally like a set of KYB's tuned well. They are the most precise I have ever used and you don't have to buy a bunch of parts.

The DS forks I've serviced usually have lots of flow through their valves and the stock KYB's are more restrictive and require more pressure in the cartridge to avoid cavitation. I'm really curious how Fantic has those forks setup. I figured they were on the stiff side based on your earlier riding videos
I have kyb on my sherco also, i noticed it seemed like you just put oil in the top where the bladder goes without any measuring and inserted the cap? Isn't there any certain amount?

all enduro guys hated air forks but we still have the pump and use it 😂
When is the ride review I am excited. Ktech makes a nice kyb clamp tool like $40 bucks to clamp the lower cartridge. Great job!
Soon. My kid already rode it and was stoked. He doesn't like wearing a camera though so I will ride it soon.

Oh man. I would recommend the dal soggio spheres if you can afford them. They are magic

You need to do a review on MX Tech Ravens. Better than KYB and Dal Soggio options.
Maybe in the future but my friends who have used all of them disagree. My double A buddies like the Dal Soggio the best

I'll be interested to know if you notice a harsh feel when hitting big sharp edges. I'm betting on cavitation.

There is but I always just go over a bit and bleed it.
