- I must be honest about the 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide after 200 miles. In Daytona, I take out a 2024 Road Glide for a real test ride all almost 200 miles. I head down with a few subscribers to Cape Canaveral in Florida to see how this bike performs on the highway of the Coast of Florida.

I did a test ride in Daytona. Got it up to 80! Its really quike. Talked with my local dealer and they think $5000 over retail is a good deal so i walked.
Bike is overpriced as it is.. 5K over retail is highway robbery!!
$5k over, smh. I’m walking too!
There is plenty of dealers that sell for MSRP
Man I feel for people in this position... $5 grand over retail... there are far to many dealers close to me around here for that to even remotely work.. Very very sad.
Oh wow! didn't notice that this is cool whip... nice to see you again.
I’m rolling my ‘18 RGS to the final ride . I don’t need the tech and don’t listen to music , just listen to the engine and the exhaust. Upgraded mine to a 114 stage 3, Jackpot header with Rhinehart 4.5 pipes
Nice
After Daytona I bought my 24 RG, and love it. It was a learning curve, but love it.
Nice to know
If you never bothered to place the bike in sport mode, then you truly have no idea of how the bike actually performs because when you do, the bike truly comes alive.
Roads I was on never could have had that option. We are looking at Sturgis for long, more advanced testing
This is bob... bob can't ride. Bob is a motorcycle enthusiasts! And has no buisness reviewing anything other than commuting on a bike.. so sport mode is not in bobs vocabulary.
@dormantmenace Sorry to say I've been riding a motorcycle since 1974. Are you going to Sturgis this year? Would love to go out on a ride with you.
Bob's coming over to the darkside!! Love it!!
Nice ride time will tell
Bob and Tam, your review is spot on. What still befuttle's me is if that is the seat, windshield and stereo are the first 3 things people change the HD is NOT listening to their customer's. With that said I'm 5'9" so I added a 10" windshield so the wind would go over my head instead of right to my ears. Nope you will not hear the stereo as you said at 45 mph. I added the Rockford stage 2 had it flashed and holy shit Batman it's a whole new bike now, even at 110 mph. I did my thing to custom my throttle response and ride...WOWZER! It's not hard to do just watch the tutorials and it will be fine. Theres a mode switch on inside of your right blinker switch that you can go back and forth depending on your curve's. GREAT review and I
subcribed.
Thanks I'm in Sturgis taking both bikes out today to test the curves. Thanks for the sub
thanks for the tip on the stereo upgrade ill look that up
bought the 24 streetglide. yea the windshield was useless. got tired of waiting for the klock works release so bought the Harley 8in. total game changer. can hear the radio and dont need earplugs now.
Thanks for your update. keep us up on your bike
I bought a 24 roadglide, I like the seat, I can go 2 hrs on it without getting sore. Windshield is to low but that is for looks. I put the 10 inch from harley on, can hear the stereo a bit better but stereo is junk pretty much. Bars are good, handles good, 117 has lots of power, I installed a stage one on it now. Brakes are good, suspension is way better rhen it used to be.
Thanks for sharing!
The 10 inch windshield that’s an option fixes the buffeting 💯, nice video
Thanks for the tip!
Picking mine up tomorrow! Hope to catch yall one of these trips!
@JohnnyGuestMusic Sounds good have fun, keep us informed on it
Cool video, nice to see something different and the feedback.
Have a ripper you guys!
Hey I got a ticket to come to Sturgis. I'll be at Katmandu on or about 29th July.
More to come!
Thank you Bob Tam love you guys 👍❤️✌️💪🏻☮️
Love you Skippy
Good review bob,I’m not sold on them…yet👍👍
more to come
You do not need to hold the starter button down when starting these 24s. Just click it once and it will start. I never use the built in speakers as I have lived with speakers in my helmet for many years and prefer the clarity of sound. Plus you don't annoy other riders or drivers with music blaring. Setting up for Apple Carplay and connecting my headset was simple and it just works each time I get on the bike, kudos to Harley for getting that right.
The only real negative is the speaker grills look a bit cheap.
Thanks for your input, HD seems to be trying to get to the next level
I dig everything about mine except the speakers and there’s not many aftermarket options outside of the Rockfords they sell at the dealer and on the old frame there was a lot better value for the $ options
Sinister Sounds has a set up for it
i personally find the seat comfortable..i burned a full tank of gas without stopping and felt fine so im keeping it...really like the suspension took a few tries to get it dialed in..im going through corners on my local rides 10-15 mph faster havent scraped the floor boards yet i dont even feel like in pushing it...the only thing i miss from my 2016 RG is the hydralic clutch. that just felt better to me
Thanks for your input, Enjoy your ride
Wow, as a hobby learn to wrench. Installed a 131 crate motor in my "old" 2020 RG, (which I bought below MSRP in 2019), along with a Wood cam and it's a never ending Wohoo moment at still less than what a 2024 goes for
Sounds like you have a nice bike.
I bought a Triumph Rocket 3 GT and had nothing to change on the bike it was perfect since the first day i had the bike with Harley motorcycle you have to change the seat the windshield the exaust so on and so on they make their money on part and its cost you an arm , so lame but that my opinion.
True, but what I see is a lot of HD owners want to update their bike
I think I need one of them
You got one
Bob, there's only one type of glide, the Road Glide! Mine is a 05 and it rides great, its time to part with the ole girl! If u know anyone looking for a mint bike-27k miles, let me know!
Send phone or some kind of contact. I know two people. Include a picture if possible. B&T has my number and email.
Looks like Neil might have so.e interested
I only have one other dislike and that is the clutch cable adjustment and the clutch handle has a clicking like it's binding
Didn't notice that
I noticed the same dislikes about the bike. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for checking it out
Gator country...nice to see you here...
Thanks
As others have said, “I’m not sure that I like having the modes, I didn’t use the different modes”. You seem like a very nice guy, but maybe shouldn’t be doing “brutally honest” reviews that aren’t possibly honest. If you have a monetized channel you should earn your viewers. If you’re shocked at the low windshield you haven’t ridden many new vehicles designed to look good. There hasn’t been a usable windshield on a RG in the past decade.
I've been riding a motorcycle for over 50 years. I'm not sure how many bikes you have, Riden. I would say somewhere over 500. When I give a review, it is based on my riding of it. Yes, HD doesn't put the right size windshields from the factory. If I didn't say something about it, someone would have called me on it. Since this video in March, I have taken a 2024 Road glide & Street Glide out in the Black Hills on a more intense ride. This was not a click bait video. You must not watch our channel. We built a 50 x 60 steel shop to start building bikes for Vets. If my review wasn't honest, I don't know what would be. Oh, we have 26800 subs getting 100 a day right now. Have a great day.
@@bobandtams Like I said, you seem(ed) like a nice guy that is obviously working on subscriptions and clicks. I'm just a guy that has also been riding for 52 years. I don't need to count how many bikes I've ridden. I purchased my first Harley in 2013 and have never been on one that has a useful windshield. I know that a standard RG doesn't come with a backrest so I wouldn't complain about it. I took a short ride on a 24 RG and tried all the modes to see what it was like. I also don't feel I'd use them much, but could see rarely using them and could tell others what it was like, but I don't make money giving "Brutally Honest Reviews". I wish you the best of luck and hope you get all the clicks, likes, and subs to make all your dreams come true. I"m going to buy a 24 RG, and change the windshield, seat, floorboards, exhaust, and bars to fit me. The display is awesome, the handling and lighter weight is a noticable improvement over my 2017 RG. The power is also obviously improved. Also never met anyone satisfied with a stock Harley seat, but the 24's are a lot bettert than the 17.
You look good on it
Maybe one day
The asking on that 24' is i think 34k. Not including the tour pak.
$25,999 MSRP I have dealers that will sell you one that price
You can get the limited that has a back rest right?
yes
They asking crazy prices, the bike should come with a good seat
You would think or options
I want the CVO ST
Nice
I realize that things have to change with the times, but I’m just not a fan of the direction the MoCo is going. IMO Harleys should be air cooled v-twins. These have a more metric flair to them and I think that’s intentional to draw to customers to the brand, which is what the board of directors should be doing for the investors, I’m just not a fan of it though….
Very good points I believe company is thinking that too
I much prefer the 23, the 24 to me is too smooth, too compact, throttle sucks, too twitchy, ymmv
Thanks for your input
In Alaska its cheaper to buy 24 than 23. I think it w as about $5k less.
Yes HD dropped the price on the 24s
@@bobandtams I've heard it's a chip thing!
I am a Road King and Fat Boy 😊kind of guy. I don’t need all the extra BS they put on these bikes. I don’t want a Harley Goldwing. You pay all that money to get no wind protection, can’t hear the stereo, and the seat sucks.
Sad, but do you ever buy something that you love 100%
Motorcycles are so subjective. I always love it when guys beat up on other brands or different models. It almost sounds elementary school. Mines better than yours. Anyway, I do think Harley stepped up there game with the new stuff. I also think they are way too much money. But as for the little things most people will not like, how many people actually keep their bike bone stock? Part of the fun of ownership, at least for me, is modding the bike to make it my own and not look like everyone else. As the saying goes, to each their own.
Very true, bad news everything cost to much
@@bobandtamssad but true. Unfortunately, I live in the northeast so, that kind of money for 7/8 months a year for this old guy is too much.
I feel you
Yeb, Yeb, I do live here. Orlando. The 2024 Road King is nice, BUT, Harley has taken away so much stuff, especially the rear luggage bag. That in itself, Harley will charge you your second born, because your first born is paying for the bike. Too expensive. I just came from Orlando Harley. I have a 2014 Ultra Classic, lots of options. They first came back with $7,400., I told them, are you kidding me. They wanted my business soo bad that he came back with a $12,400. Offer, that’s a big difference. So, you see how they want to screw you at one end and grease you on the other end. I’ll wait till I can get one used
Sounds like a plan
Lot of guys like the seat. Everyone knows the radio and lack of windscreen is rubbish.
Seat depends on the rider. Thanks for the input
Did you eat at Grills?
No didn't make it this trip
That’s ridiculous. Harley should put a functional windshield and comfortable seat on the stock bikes. Harley ALWAYS half-asses things and I’m sick of it.
Seems nothing ever is perfect
If you only got it up to 60-65 mph you really missed out!
Didn't have the opportunity in city and coast areas
if I started shitting $100 bills, I would buy one
I saw someone on the market place
Why spend $25,000 plus to something you don't like
There is nothing that I like 100%. You always weigh the good verses the bad
Is this the VVT model?
no it was 117
I think the tail lights are ugly.
Lot more light there
You are definitely a gold wing guy
Really, are you going to Sturgis? Be happy to take you for a ride. Be there June 10 th till August 18th
Do not purchase a 24
The new bikes are aerodynamic garbage. Even with a taller windshield you have the same problems
The way HD flies the air over the ferring and into the rider washes away your stereo speakers
When you ride in the rain the water runs in and over the screen. When water drops fall and hit the screen it can change your screen like you’ve touched it. I’ve had it change music, back out of the screen I’m in.
The vibration in the front end feels like your wheel is going to fall off
I fully regret my 24 purchase
I want a refund
Sorry to hear have you tried a clock works windshield
@@bobandtams I have one on order and hopefully that can make the ride more tolerable
We understand subscribers, bell ringing , thumbs up…Don’t beg.
Ok, thank you
Sounds like a gadget bike. I prefer simpler bikes.
Seems cars, trucks are all going that way. What happened to hand cranked windows. no a/c.
Ha ha, I’ll take hand cranked windows but gotta have A/C 😂
Another fluff review “I didn’t like the seat, the windshield, the stereo” blah blah blah. How does it handle? How is it in the twisties? That’s what we want to know.
First off, I didn't do any twisties. We rode on Florida!!!! If you watched the channel, we are trying to get it for 2 days in Sturgis. Then, I will be able to push it. Stay tuned
Thank you Bob Tam love you guys 👍❤️✌️💪🏻☮️
Thanks Skippy
