    I am a LMT and am certified in MLD. My question is, when I see the client would it be beneficial to also open up the lymph nodes in the groin? To aid I the draining of the lower abdominals? Or is that unnecessary since you are pushing the fluid over/through the watersheds above? Hope this makes sense. Thank you for all your videos and sharing your knowledge and passion.

      Can we use oils when massaging?

    • @KathleenHelenLisson
      @KathleenHelenLisson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@flordylan no, lymphatic massage is performed with no or very little oil. You need to stretch the skin, not slide along the skin. If shin is really dry, moisturize your hands before the massage.

    The rhythm that you are using seems a little faster than what I am used to. I'm always doing a 3-second interval with each stretch and with each release. Do you find that it isn't as necessary to go slower or were you doing more of a quick demo on where to do hand placements and in which direction to encourage the lymph flow? Thanks for making this available for client education!

    My therapist pressed hard on my belly button and now it is so sore. I feel this my have affected my belly button and I have now developed a liquid pocket around my navel and on my right abdomen. Should I feel concerned about this and consult my doctor?

    At this stage, i would want to believe you know what you're doing without watching a video. Makes me not take you serious.
