Just had a tummy tuck done here in Portland at Burgess plastic surgery. I’m 2 weeks out. Really happy I did it. I had lost 75 pounds after having 2 kids. Lots of loose skin that just never came back. And my tax refund paid for it! 😅

I had a tummy tuck/ liposuction and a breast reduction in Turkey 10 days ago. My home country is Germany. 2 drains were in my tummy and 2 in my breast they have been removed after 2 days. I was barely in pain, but it is very uncomfortable for sure. Thank god, I am feeling better every day. My surgeon told me not to walk straight for 14 days, but I am worrying that I am not able to walk straight anymore at all. The scars are partly still red, but I hope that it will go away soon. I have a scar in my belly button, what is weird to me, but everything else went well so far, as far as I can tell, my surgeon was really good.I am so thankful for that clip, many of my questions are answered now.
    That you so much🤗

I had a diep flap procedure due to breast cancer and not wanting to go flat or get implants. It was a 10 hour surgery that included tummy tuck to obtain skin and fat to fully reconstruct two breasts so they will be as natural as possible. They also removed nipples and replaced them with skin from abdomen so they can later tattoo on “ nipples” so they will look more real. Waking up from that long surgery was so painful. I thought I was dying. I couldn’t move at all and it hurt to breathe even and even worse if I cried. But after a month, I am doing so much better and all I can say is thank God plastic surgeons can do what they do because I now have breasts that feel natural and look pretty good. They even lifted them up so they look perkier. And they tightened and closed my abdominal muscles (that’s what hurts the most while recovering). Not only do my breasts look better but I now have a flat belly that looks amazing. The scar is wide but low enough so I can wear a bathing suit. I can’t really complain about much. Just glad I’m alive and that doctors exist that help fix you up so you don’t have major self image issues after cancer.

I went to a plastic surgeon for a consult a couple weeks ago & he said he does the quilting sutures with no drains. That was the first I had heard of it! In all of the research I have done & the videos I have watched, every tummy tuck has been done with drains. But I am glad to hear you also use this technique! It just makes me slightly nervous that he uses no drains at all. But he said the chance of developing a seroma with this method are very very low.

Thank you Dr, I watched this episode before my surgery and was very helpful in relaying back some info to my surgeon just to make sure we were on the same page. I had removal and replacement of breast implants, liposuction and a tummy tuck. I have been pro active in my died and exercise routine and was not over weight but had sagging skin due to multiple pregnancies. I was told to schedule a massage for lymph node drainage but could not get it done before my first post op visit. One thing that occurred was after removal of the back drainage (one week later) I accumulated a lot of fluid and had to be reopened to get it drained on me second visit, I was relieved in the level of comfort after. I since then gotten two massages from two different places but I honestly don’t see the point. They are very light and no fluid ever comes out, even though I typically drain light some what though out the day. I just want to let others know walking after surgery part is extremely important and it sets you to make the effort to use the bathroom on your own. I never had to get help to shower or dress and the more I walked the easier it got. Also, schedule the massages ahead of surgery and make sure you always keep communication with your surgeon. This is my two week and a half after surgery and I’m walking almost straight, I’m able to bend and feel almost normal. Hopefully when I see the doctor again this week I can get the back drain removed. Good luck to all the ladies who are contemplating or are going through this processes. Remember to do your hmwk when choosing your surgeon, every day it gets easier the more you walk but the end results will be worth while.

Hi. I am Pedro, a Brazilian entrepreneur starting a new venture focused on making American women`s life easier (and safer) when deciding to have plastic surgery. We aim to provide access to great doctors at a much affordable price in Brazil. In order to help us prototype our product, it would be great if you could answer a very quick survey (2min) in order we understand what would make (or prevent) an American woman to consider coming to Brazil for having plastic surgery.. Thanks so much.

Dear doctor Tony, thank you for such a great explanation on tummy tuck + breast implant. I am your number one fan!!! I live in Brazil but if I didn’t I would have a tummy tuck surgery with you! I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions as I’m planing on having a mommy makeover.
    - Have you ever heard about compression socks after a tummy tuck? If so, is that important?
    - how soon can your patients return to their exercise routine, including weight lifting, crunches and bike riding? How about driving?
    - what do you recommend to improve the quality of the scars? What about keloids?
    - is there anything a patient can do to avoid the ugly belly button that I have seen so often after this procedure?
You will make me so happy if you answer my questions!...

  • @Mike1911a1
    @Mike1911a1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I got abdominalplasty on 10/26/23.
I'm a juvenile diabetic who didn't have insurance for several years and reused needles, didn't eat well, and took high doses of over-the-counter NPH and regular insulin. I ended up with extensive scar tissue and lipo hypertrophy from the insulin, I didn't rotate injection sites.
I lost over 60lbs (I was 240 lbs) with the keto diet and kept it off for 3 years, so my reward to myself was to have all of that scar tissue and lipo hypertrophy removed with abdominalplasty, flank lipo, and the abdominal muscle repair.
I definitely wouldn't define it as "botched" because I've seen some really bad botched surgeries on TH-cam , but it could have been a lot better and definitely wouldn't have been at Dr. Youn's standards.
I have a "pinch crease" on one of my right side. It makes it look like I was cut in half and when I was glued back together, the top and bottom was offset, so I have a little "spike" coming out of my side. My surgeon also said that the belly button will have discoloration, scars, and it's round rather than a vertical oval with a hood. I know that's a pet peeve of Dr. Youn. I only found Dr. Youn's channel tonight, 12/24/23, and I've been watching his videos for the last 5 hours.
Dr. Youn's operation on this lady came out much better, than mine. I don't live anywhere near Michigan though.

I just got my TT today with abdominal reparation (I had 7cm gap). This video has been the most informative and useful video I have watched! I don’t have drains placed and didn’t have a liposunction as I am thin and athletic. I do lots of sports and hope to be able to improve my sports performance after this. Also had 3 c-sections and I find that tt pain is more like discomfort and ‘better’ than the c-sections. Unfortunately I had to have a small vertical scar because I had lots of extra skin sideways. I did bring a bikini at my surgery - such a good recommendation! Thank you Dr for this video. This is such good advice and helped me choose my surgeon - much much appreciated.

So, maybe the end of this year. I’m nervous, bc like Dr. Youn said my doctor is also worried about blood 🩸 clots.
I’m glad to see so many women have similar concerns. I think 🤔 a Tummy Tuck for women is a treat 4 us. Non- Selfish bc moms look after everyone husband kids what about us.

    • @soulmatelost2014

Maria don't be scared. I had my tummy tuck done 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 63 my stomach look like a sponge that was awful. The first thing you have to do is remember to take care of yourself the second thing is I went on the internet and I learned a lot the best piece of advice that I got was to go get a walker you cannot stand up straight after this operation that is what makes it difficult but if you have a walker you can maneuver yourself up rest your arms, on this side of the Walker and then you kind of Shuffle Let The Walker do the work number one you won't fall down I'm telling you it was a lifesaver for me the one day I was up I was taking myself to the bathroom you just have to understand you have to go slowly as for pain that the first day one pain pill the following day going back to the doctor's office I took one pain pill after that I didn't need any more pain medication you take it easy you move slowly this is not a race and before you know it you'll be walking don't rush yourself I believe in the internet you will see some things that aren't so good but there are few people out there that show you start to finish how they maneuvered it and I can't even explain how much better I feel and look it's amazing absolutely amazing and I wish I would have done it sooner take your antibiotics drink a lot of water make sure you eat something even if you just have soup but I'm not a huge proponent of don't baby yourself you'll be fine if it's 63 I can do it and tell you right now that is the best thing next to having breast plants put him at 64 that I've done for myself oh and PS you can get a walker and Annie Thrift Shop four five six dollars do you want be the best investment you ever made if you need more encouragement just hit me back on this comment section if you like your surgeon and you're happy with the treatment that you had up to this point you're going to sail through it so don't worry about pain the pain was not that big a deal maybe a day and a half just go to sleep but make sure you walking keep saying I Walker good luck
