  • @MrTehNoms
    @MrTehNoms ปีที่แล้ว +34

    I trained those with no resistance. The key to work up to it safely, is to do scapular movements first. Raise your body as much as you can without moving your elbows.
    Hang first to strengthen your hands and get your arm and torso bones used to the load.
    Then scapular inch-ups to strengthen your back and shoulder muscles.
    Naturally, your body will ask for more and you'll do the full motion pull-ups

    Physical prime? I’m 42, 5’6”. Exactly one year ago today, the day after Thanksgiving, I was 212 lbs. and I decided to lose weight. By May I was 143 and decided to work on my physique. Started calisthenics. Did tons of body weight exercises, then started to learn calisthenics moves. Started with the L-sit. By the end of the summer I was doing L-sits into handstands. Now I’m working my way to a full planche. I’m in the best shape of my life right now at 42. Even better than when I was working out and looking cut when I was 25. In fact, I have more muscle definition and see more muscles on me than I ever have before. Physical prime has nothing against mental fortitude……

      @@swalscha If you have a very high level of strength before you start yeah, but if you can do some good basics like 10-15 pull-ups 50 days is wat too less

    • @swalscha
      @swalscha 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ErikDerElektriker strength is build over stability. If you try to gain strength with poor stability you're gonna take months for a oap sure, if not injured first. But if you include exercises to reinforce small muscles that contribute to an overall core stability, you'll allow the bigger muscles to work properly.
      So imo, with exercises like a "typewriter"/lateral push-up and pull-up (both hands) and one arm superman push up hold included in the program for the oap, you'll need significantly less more days. Just repeating the same unique movement is not always the smarter choice to progress.
      In an other video he responded why he didn't try the eccentric + elastic band method, he said that the path followed during the exercise wasn't the same with an assisted band. I agree with him that it is an important point but it's because of his lack in stability that he couldn't engage a proper path or near this path.
      Train smarter not harder = do things in order, step by step 🤷🏻‍♂️

    390 days, that really puts it into perspective. I started running two months ago and I was getting discouraged because I noticed no results. You saying it took you 390 days to achieve this feat gives me hope that my stamina and strength will improve in time

      Stamina builds very fast.
      This dude was making continious progress, he just crossed a arbitrary boundary after a long time.
      You should watch some videos about how to increase running abilities, because there are a lot of mistakes that can stunt you progress.
