Mrs Citizen you did a phenominal job. I wanted to actually see a shorter person ride the freedom, THX. That citizen 4.0 is a BEAST
You 2 are so cute. She’s pretty brave & it looks like you guys have fun together! 👍
2:33 What seat did you use? It looks really comfortable.
She’s a real trooper 😄
I really enjoyed the information that you gave and seeing a shorter person, Your Wife, try out these bikes was a plus all together! Thanks for another great video and learning lesson from You and your wife Too!!!
Super helpful! Thank y’all!
That was awesome! Really enjoyed seeing your wife trying these bikes. It gives a good perspective of the size.
I have a Freedom bike & bought a Rambo trailer from Wired & they beat everyone else price. It connects to the rear rack through the hole on the back of the rack. I just finished towing a 110lbs of camping gear on the Erie Canal bike path. It held up great. The trailer is rated for 100 lbs towing on a bike. You can use it around the yard with you pulling it with 300 lbs in it
Hey I just wanted to know if this bike is an all terrain Ebike? I haven't found any info that specifically says what this bike is made for and I'm looking for an Ebike that can handle the winter. Thanks!
How can I buy this bike sir? It says delivery mid January but I would like it now.
@@No-ju9xzyou just have to preorder… I am supposed to receive mine in early November and ordered in September.
I was wondering if you could attach a trailer. Thanks for sharing
@@No-ju9xz where are you located?
I saw wife rides and I had to come check it out.. I love the effort she gives and what a good sport she is about riding bikes that may feel sketchy for her. Plus will show me how well someone smaller can ride it.
Another great video, thank you!
Well you answered all my questions, thanks. Nice video.
Glad it was helpful
Yay Mrs Citizen! Awesome!
Appreciate vids like this man, you definitely take real time helping and understanding your viewers. Hope Steve hooks you up with a 2024 Freedom/Cruiser for all the press you give ‘em, you’ve likely sold a couple bikes for them.
He gave him the prototype it seems . And he has his 2023 blue one still in there somewhere

Nice garage...... I have the JUCIED Hyper Scrambler 2 and love it....just to tool around Central Florida .
Use to ride street bikes and motorcross when I was young . Just love to cruise around without traffic
thanks, this garage is getting too full! these ebikes are a ton of fun and more low key, definitely dont replace the feeling of being on a motorcycle and being in the wind though..
Wow what a take off, amazing
I want to thank you for your reviews they helped me come to my decision on what was good for me to purchase.
It was a big expense for me and i wanted to make the right chose. Thanks again from me and Mr Phil😂
You're very welcome!
Good video very instructive
The launch of the Freedom was impressive 😳
Looks like it has way more acceleration than my X-Class 48V!
Thanks for the additional info @CitizenCycle. Waiting for my November delivery here in upper Midwest.
Nice to see that the BRAKE LIGHT is very visible during daylight hours.

@@melissamontague3766 if you mean like a single track mountain bike, no. It's not really a mountain bike, but should be able to handle light non paved trail ok.
@@NOWitsOKto aye thanks bro
I have taken mine through the woods and on both single and double track rides.
I cut the PAS down to number 1 setting going through fairly thick woods.
My brother's Trek mid drive was better through the woods than my Freedom, but on longer rides up back roads, he cant keep up with my Freedom@melissamontague3766
The word you were searching for is knurling or knurled. They are grooves most times running parallel to the axis of the bolt that the knurled nut is screwed onto. It can be crosshatched with groves perpendicular to the first grooves added. It allows even more grip when done that way.
HERD the rubber burn out! awesome job both of you! lol i was all looking for a link for the Citizen bike lol. than you said its your creation right? No for real though im loving the WIRED ! ive watched your other videos also! you have me sold on the WIRED. i was going back and forth with this WIRED and the Magiccycle and even the Aventure2 !
You can for sure cut an inch and a half of that seat frame. Just ditch that janky clamp and drill a few nice and neat holes to possibly use an even more secure method of nuts and bolt design.
The hole in the back rack is to attach a Rambo bike aluminum trailer cart (ie. deer cart, Go BAGS cart, and your Shotgun Toting Grandma or Mother-in-Law during an emergency). Note that you can hold up to 300 lb on the Rambo trailer. That weight should NOT necessarily be added to the total weight capacity of the wire freedom because remember you are PULLING the Rambo weight as a working PULL load.
*Great husband & wife bonding video that, believe me, you will treasure for the rest of your lives and your childrens' lives.*
Pedal with God with your courageous wife here on earth, then ride together through Eternities as "Angels of God in Heaven"! ...Chappy
Great ride by your wife she did awesome overcoming her fears. I would like to see the new Wired Freedom do a flat ground low wind top speed test and if the range has changed with the new engine gearing
Great video as a couple, thanks God bless
If I want to get full leg extension on my 20 in folding e bike, I need to raise the seat to a point where I can only tippy-toe when stopping, plus I feel it raises the center of gravity a bit much for my comfort.
Very nice video.
I’m considering buying it but I’m a little leery because I’ve seen other peoples deliveries and they had damaged bikes. When I got my RadRover, the box, and the bike were pristine.
I think shipping damages are a risk tou run with pretty much any bike..
mine was completely perfect. no shipping damage.
I'm a bit worried about mine, but then again you mostly see really bad experiences or really good experiences. So the majority you don't see I would think are just fine. No complaints
@@sp33dybiscuit you have to buy the shipping insurance, then you're ok
My Freedom was a tiny bit ‘torqued’ at the rear rack causing tire rub...easy fix...they walked me through it. Nice.
My Rad 6+ is dreamy, except every battery I have gotten for it (3), has crapped out with the bad fuse issue, not an easy fix...if fixable at all!
Your wife is most awesome 👌
She gets it ~ because she's with you. 😂 Ya-hoo! Moving on, the Quiet Kat Lynx...2 speed rear hub motor...hmm?! 24 × 4.5 tires full suspension, nice seat, etc. etc.
Also a rather juicy price 4k?!
But, it looks great! 😂
Then there's the Volcon Grunt...
How about testing those expensive
offerings? Maybe you could keep em?! You do an awesome job!!!
Have turned you on to others who are now subscribed.
Wired Freedom ~ Yabba Dabba Doo! 👍
Change the tires to narrower tires and you can easily loss 1"-2" of seatheight or standover height.
Change the seat to something without the spring mounted rails, that's another inch lower.
Mine is scheduled for November. I have enjoyed your reviews. I guess I got lucky with the 2024 upgrade!
Hope you enjoy it! And yes, the surprise upgrade was a very nice surprise.
Unfortunately, now they seem to be shipping in mid January..
Mid January is for new orders not for existing tho…it’s not like the bike anyone ordered in August isn’t arriving till january
I saw a rear axel nut extension to attach a trailer hitch to. Thick Velotric sells it.
u bet i got mine pre orderd ! going fromn a Lectric 2.0 xp lite , this gonna be so good !
OMG she looked like a little kid wearing your jacket…she is so cute & did a great job!
haha yes, she is tiny :)
You started something now Bryan 😂. The wife is gonna be riding the fast bikes and put you the slow bikes. Another great video thanks
Been riding a SUPER73 ZX for a couple of years and just ordered a Wired Freedom. Really appreciate the height comparison with your wife. I’m only 5’7”. Hopefully, it’s not too big.
Well done Mrs citizen 😁
Hey @citizencycle bud thx again for the content and info and answering us. As far as you know has Wired improved their packing of bikes for shipping to help with some of the damage issues?
Would love to hear your concern of no local service centers for this bike for warranty.
You make great videos my friend. I was wondering whats the pros n cons of having a digital rear camera? I work so much i only ride around the block once a week.
Very nice your wife is going to want one of your powerful e-bikes if you keep letting her ride them haha. Would love to see a new range test of the new model 2024 version 😊
my late 23 model has the samsung battery and flush axle nuts. I pull a trailer with an axle mounted hitch. wired sells a hunting trailer that attaches to the rack. It's a rambo trailer i believe.
Have just fun to watch this vidéo
Ortleb panniers carry everything you need!
Thanks for another very informative video! I was hoping that you would show a close up of the battery and you did! Looks like the Reention brand (name usually molded into the top of the battery cradle) two pin recessed battery tray. That's good news as many companies use that system. Don't know about the 60V being compatible with other 52V and 48V systems, but my (very) limited knowledge of DC motors is that they are not super sensitive about the voltage. The controller though might be an issue. Again, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
Hey I just wanted to know if this bike is an all terrain Ebike? I haven't found any info that specifically says what this bike is made for and I'm looking for an Ebike that can handle the winter. Thanks!
I solved that fender problem by cutting a old bike tire and fitting it into that space with some zip ties.
Per the specs online the Wired Freedom has a 18.3" frame, and the E-Cells Five Star comes standard with a 17" frame, and a 19" frame can also be ordered.
Love the Wired Bike ..... Except the location of the controller
Brave wife🎉😊
I’m going to add a dropper post to my future bike
Great video, you have me really considering a freedom as my new daily (when I don't have the kiddo on back). Do you have a budget recommendation for a bike rack that'll work for my Lectric 3.0 and my wife's Aventon level 2 ST? Again, really appreciate your content.
Great Q&A 👍 whats your take on the juiced rip current id like to see your take on that bike 🍻 cheers
Thank you for the additional information! I was wondering what the rim width is (for the possibility of installing a narrower tire when the originals wear out)? Thanks again!
Rim is 3.25in or 82.6mm
Update I pulled the trigger and ordered the WIRED Freedom in Orange! so excited. Earlier in another video you mentioned you bought Fonts because it didnt come with the logo. Where did you get it the fonts?
Glad I waited for gen 2
Loving what I am seeing with wired. Any change you could ask if they will one day release a front rack that will work with the suspension. I have yet to find a universal one to work with a 4 inch fat tire. It is the only think keeping me from pulling the trigger on one. I need a front rack as I run a bike as a car replacement and am on an Aventon level with an aftermarket front rack. I can get a weeks worth of groceries for a family of 5 with just 1 trip and not sure i could here. alternative is an areal rider kepler, but I would prefer a wired.
Im ordering shortly. thanks for the vids. im 6'1" 270lbs and i carry a 20lbs bag. this has rear suspension which i need that. peace
Awesome! Probably be a january delivery for you then. Hopefully, you live someplace where it's warm in January and you can ride it.
looked like your wife was really enjoying the speedy bikes
It took some convincing but I think she had fun.
@@CitizenCycle925How can I get this bike? I've heard other people having it but I don't want to wait till January. Having this bike would save my life man. I'd even buy it used off of you if you'd let me.
I finally got to el segundo to put my bike together. Fair warning to all Wired ebike buyers….it is powerful. I put it down twice in my first 3 days of riding it. Be careful when turning you must go wide and slow. Try to start off slow and dont hit to much throttle until your up and moving smoothly. It’s a beast so fun i went to manhattan beach and then I met my cousin in Marina Del Rey for lunch at killer shrimp and road on some city streets along the marina to get there.
Damnit dude, you're gonna make the Mrs a speed junkie if you're not careful.
How many charge cycles does that battery have? Thank you for the great video
I was looking at this bike before the improvements, now I’m really interested.
Question do they make any provisions for a second battery like Ariel rider does? How thick is the lower tube where the battery goes? Looks potentially, a problem for a front end shimmy especially on the cruiser version. I have another brand of bike with step through it has a front end shimmy because of that, and it looks beefier than the Wired, and I wish I had got the non step through but I’m 63 😀 Also Wired needs to cut a better deal with a finance company, $2300 best is $200 and change a month, most companies offer 24 months financing making the payment under $100 a month.
Keep the videos coming my friend, they are awesome
The front fender is really the only one you would want longer
You can definitely take a pipe cutter and cut an inch off of the seat post. I’ve done it to several bikes.

I'm 5'5" and now I know how I look trying to mount my wired .
Like a child...🤣😂🤣
Great video!
Thanks Bruce!
@@CitizenCycle925....your videos are Outstanding! I purchased a Fabulous Road Warrior AWD based on your videos...and I told Lampr 1:32 o the same....
@brucehechmer5457 That road warriors a seriously fast bike too!!
@@CitizenCycle925 ....yes...I weigh 250lbs....41 mph for me....
My Himiway Escape motor engages sometimes and not others making a gurgle noise in the hub. Thoughts?

I have the same issue with my e-cells super monarch awd. I am extremely disappointed, not worth the 5,200 I paid for it.
"I should design and sell them".....YES!!!!!
Everyone always talks about height. It's not how tall you are. It's how long your legs are. I am 6 foot. tall but I only have a 30 inch inseam Someone five 9 could have a 30 inch inseam...
it's about leg length, not height
Sounds the same as me was 6'1" 30" inseam but about 6 foot now at 73 . I got hella long arms and still riding
Hi, is it possible that you can find out what the largest size chain ring that can be put on the 23 model as you know it has the 52T and the newer 24 model has the 56T just curious to maybe upgrade the chain ring and how high I can put it ? It looks like a 54T might work, but would like to see if I can squeeze a 56 or possibly 58 thanks
Great video on New e- bike and I think I might like the power of your Citizen model better. So, I'm just being into the e'bike scene and considering the Wired to use here in NC. But it seems cool to build my own since I like to tinker and know my toys very well to be able to work on and mod. How was the custom build and any advice to suggest on buy ready to use or custom build? Thanks in advance.
Wired told me to leave P5 on number 6 for the 2024 model.
Correct!
I'm curious what the up/down rear tire travel is?
What was the make of the seat you used ?
YOU GUYS SEEM TO BE A REFRESHING COUPLE ❣️
I just received my bike, but the packaging was damaged and had missing parts: the secondary small box with pedals, front axel, and whatever else should be inside was missing. The headset was also severely gouged. I was pretty bummed and I reached out to Wired and they said they'll ship out a replacement immediately. The box was ripped in several parts and there were no reinforced plastic strips around the box. I know they're trying their best to get the shipments delivered, but just make sure your bike is delivered intact and you have all the components. Can you tell me what accessories should be inside the small box so I know what to expect?
I’ve seen in unboxings for the older models that it also comes with a small thing of touch up paint, is that still the case for the new ones?
What about a strip of inner tube @7:45?
Can you post a link to the seat you put on it?
Your wife did excellent on take-off. Great video.
Hey citizen I just wanted to know if this bike is an all terrain Ebike? I haven't found any info that specifically says what this bike is made for and I'm looking for an Ebike that can handle the winter. Thanks!
Whwre do I learn how to change the settings to reach max speed and power?
Thank you!
Is it possible to mount bow rack or gun rack on the handlebars?
Love your video and thought it was both informative and fun to watch. This may be a dumb question but is the Citizencycle that your wife rode last a custom e-bike or if not where can it be bought? Thanks
Thank you Jody! Citizen bike is homemade 😁
LOL This reminds me of the time my little 4 year old nephew tried to steal my bicycle. Luckily, he couldn't reach both pedals at the same time. 😂😂😂
Can you put a link on those 2 e bikes because I’m interested
These bikes are good but don’t take them off road on any steep climbs. My buddy and I have had a lot of issues with the bike shutting off on steep climbs. My buddy sent his bike back to them and the owner Steve was very nice and tried to solve the issue and gave us some settings to try. Those settings didn’t really help and it still shut off. What was happening is if it’s a long steep climb the hub motor heats up and to protect itself from burning up its shuts itself off. My buddy ended up finding the sweat spot to prevent the hub from getting to hot by changing C5 to 8 and C14 to 1 and taking a few breaks during the climb. So saying all that anyone that buys this bike for mountain biking don’t expect to much. If you want that type of performance than you’ll have to shell out $6,000 and buy one of the higher grade mountain bikes. For street use and flat fire roads the bike performs very well.
Why would you do that in the first place unless you can afford to break it 🤦🏽♂️
There's a connection underneath where is sprocket is pull it out and you'll see that the connection is disconnected from time to time tape it back shut
Dual motor bikes are pretty good at hill climbing. If you really have a lot of hill to climb I think thats the way to go. I have a Fabulous bike with dual motors and it really climbs.
Who said this is a great mountain bike?
Thats great info, I love the specs on this bike but was concerned how it would handle step off-road and rocky terrain and it looks like its just not up for that abuse. I live in Arizona and we have some hardcore rocky terrain out here. I did test ride the new Lectric xpeak and it was not that powerful on the motor 750/1300 peak and only 48volts but the bike can handle off-road trails better with the frame and motor does not seem that high strung. It did not overheat even when going over large boulder fields uphill for 15 min. Its a bummer however as the top speed of the wired is amazing.
Hi Mr Citizen, nice video! I'd like to know your wife tried your bike at 19.30 mn ,what bike is that? Because i like the look of that bike and she said it's lower that's what i like but does it have the same power and speed and price of the Wired ? Please let me know thank-you so much!
I have a knaap AMS. 250w 36v ebike and still can't seem to get the right settings with display any help would be much appreciated.when I pedal the assist kicks in nicely, only the speed doesn't start showing for at least 30 seconds.
My swagtron eb12 has a battery in the rack
Seems like the fenders are waaay too close to the tires to be used off road, much less on muddy trails or on/in snow.
is there a guard for the derailer?
Put the battery on top of the rack
QUESTIONS REGARDING SUNTOUR SP12 SUSPENSION POST….The previous Freedom bikes had an issue using a SunTour SP12 suspension seat post with an oversized seat. When the oversized seat was dropped to its lowest point using the SP12, the oversized seat would hit the rear rack when sat on and flexed. Is that still the case with the 2024 Freedom?
i would like to hear a answer on this was well.
Nice set up and thank you for the great information. One quick question I have not heard the answer from anyone. What's the weight of the bike itself?
This prototype weighs 87lbs and wired is trying to slim it down a few pounds.
@@CitizenCycle925 is it comfortable to pedal?
Definitely have to wear a helmet on these bikes, but I wear one no matter what bike I’m riding. Seen too many brains in my life! She’s really flying on that but that’s because she’s probably really featherlight and I would say well below 5‘,4“!
I decided to get the WF as my first ebike. It will be delivered mid November. I've never even ridden an ebike before but I want a full twist throttle lol. Is it possible to put one on the WF? If so how difficult is it to put on?
Updates?
so I cannot hook up my dog trailer to the back axel nut?
God... it myst be nice.
Me and my older brother have the same ATV. We both have 850 polaris sportsmans. He blows me away every time.
I am 6'3 and weigh anout 290 he is 5'9 and weighs about 160.
It is amazing how much more power small engines and electric motors lose just from rider size/weight.
I can just imagine the power difference she must feel, compared to yourself
Vertical cuts on the side
What do you run for air pressure on this?
