@@doit_vehicles Thank goodness you do. I was dreading taking off my bumper this week. I hit a semi-tire on the highway at night going 75 mph, it ripped out the right fog, the temp prob and the wiring for them as well as the wiring for the low beam and the turn signal. I was lucky it didn't make me crash. You should consider making a video on the wiring *from the lights to the relay* that includes colors, connectors and placement of the wires. At the moment, there are only videos replacing wiring harnesses inside the lights. I have a WIS tech manual and it doesn't really spell it out too well. The one thing I *do* see are people in the comment sections looking for a video on how to do this. Thanks again.
hummmm i need this. cause some old lady fully brake'd in front on me and my headlight got pushed back, (i live in france) but lucky i had a english doner car... but no i run 1 LHD light and one RHD light from england... and its very wierd. its my driver light is now a english light so they go the opposite way + its cover is yellowish... mine where clear AF, but i touhgt maybe i can swap over the hole inside in the housing of the other light so i got 2 european lights again since the accident broke off all the mounting holes on mine...
This is not easy at all. Plus i don’t understand why in the first versions if this mercedes i think from 2000 to 2003 they made those thin lines on the headlights. They removed them in the next versions and it looks much better
@@doit_vehicles I just found out that theyre called halogen Headlights and here is an interesting article www.autotrader.com/car-news/how-did-we-see-halogen-headlights-281474979975575
@@anasbtr Yes, that was the problem for me on the highway the night I hit a semi-truck tire. I didn't see it until the very last minute and I was afraid to swerve and cause worse damage if it went out of control. Now you have me interested in updated them. Thank you.
To restore the lenses (outside front surface only), just use TOOTHPASTE to put it over and wipe with a little wet cloth or towels, it will be clear like crystal ....

I know for sure that there ar 3 bolts on The headlight, i remove mine earlier to fix something, mine its a w230 kompressor 2004
can you use a heat gun vs the torch?
yes , actually with a heat gun it might be easier to protect the plastic and not overheat it
Superb
Nice

In theory it should be for focusing the light on the spot it's needed and not on other drivers ..

Sulfamic acid may restore to new look.

It will work only if the lenses are not heavily worned like in my situation .
Chris Fixx has an excellent tutorial on this that might be interesting. He goes into great detail.
