Wish I could say I did it myself, but I can't find the spray on adhesive strong enough to withstand the heat of a car interior. I have tried before, but it only took a few days for the glue I used to give up on me. I got a mobile professional service to do this one for me. I think I have found a better adhesive, and might give it a go myself again on a future project.

We have a 2004 model. The facelift. It's a C220 Cdi with 380,000 kms on now. Runs like a charm. Everything still looks great even the interior. The facelift of these was the best C they ever made.
I'm curious to know if the diesel Mercedes is significantly more fuel efficient than the petrol....(I drive a diesel as my daily, and the L/100, or mpg, is really good!)
@@ProjectCarHaven I'm sure the diesel is much more fuel efficient. We get 5.6 litres per 100kms (sometimes even less) on highway drives. But would also like to see the consumption of a C200k on the same drive.
@@SDav21I have a remapped m271 c180 kompressor 170hp and 270nm, witch is bascally the same thing as c200. The fuel economy in highway is about ~6.7/100km and on long contry roads i can get it to like 6.2l. On city drive its about 8.5/10l .
@@Meandog_ the m271, sorry to say, is very different from the m111 which has reinforced block, rods, hypereutectic pistons, oil squirters and a robust and durable dual row timing chain system. You can turbocharge an m111 and easily get away with it reliably and with some really good power too, cant say the same for the m271. all in all i think you should do an engine swap ;)
Hahaha who are you kidding? This car is a synonim for rust as every other mercedes vehicle.Awful car full of malfunctions.Yes,i do own own one for 14 years by now.
I was expecting to see some rust on this car... It seems they are prone to rust as crazy... Maybe this one was in a dry environment... The job you did, simply amazing... I suspect it has been many many hours... The result is awesome. Good job!
Im picking up a black 2006 C350 this friday, this made me so excited to get this car. The hood needs to be repainted, and paint correction elsewhere and a suspenion issues on the drivers side front wheel. This car comes apart like legos. I dont fear the car or DIY work on it now. Hell i use to work on my old bmw and ive worked on a W204. Nothing to fear with the 203
@ProjectCarHaven you are amazing, I loved this video, my husband is Mercedez fanatic and would like to do this with you, any training up for grabs, my only wish for him is to be able to do this in Africa, he will be excited 😢
Great job brother If you plan to keep the car I would recommend you to change the center console and instrument cluster to facelift Almost everything is plug and play And then bumpers and bi xenon headlights And it would be a perfect car
@@ProjectCarHaven it is I have made a full facelift conversion to my car For the instrument cluster all you have to do is just get the kilometres programmed
Just like OEM 😂. I'm going to pick up a no crank no start W203 for $CAD600 tomorrow, bought a starter motor already just in case. Say a prayer for me. Should be fun😅.
It's an Xtrons android unit, specifically for the W203. I have sold the car and all the paperwork went with it, so I can't tell you the specific model number. A quick google search for "Xtrons W203" should get you some results. There is probably a newer model with more RAM available now.
Unfortunately, I don't currently have a separate video for headlight polishing. The polishing compounds I used were Meguiars Scratch X, and Turtle Wax Headlight Cleaner and Sealant.
Hi from Mauritius My dad owns a 2008 w203 c220 cdi manual which I need to give a rehab rescue ❤ as he considers it to be my car ❤and I love both him and the car. It was and is also our first mercedes! Can I get the links of the parts, wheels and anything else that you feel free to share?
Lucky to live in a beautiful place like Mauritius! 🌴☀️🌴 I found the wheels locally on Facebook marketplace. I sourced most of the parts in Europe using eBay. Some were genuine OE (like the MAF), and some were aftermarket, like the fender well covers from Poland. A lot of the parts will have the Mercedes part number on them. I then used those numbers in google searches to find replacements.
amazing job !!! ima daily driving same motor but wagon how much did u spend on the suspension or if its easier for you as a whole keep up the great work the vid is amazing edit: i saw the other video its worth every buck for such a nice old school merc like that
Thanks! Glad you found the accountant run down video! I'd be much faster with the rest suspension on a W203 if I ever have to do it again, but that was an unexpected undertaking the first time I started pulling it apart.

This is what I really like about Western/European people, they do everything themselves, the results are excellent, and it's very inspiring.
