Awesome. That came out so good. Now my wife is on board with lacing and flaking the T-bird roof. Thanks! I like the contrast of the patina mat lower and the gloss roof.
Thanks mate, I really wanted to put alot more in it with mask lines etc but couldn't with the risk of the paint lifting so had to do a more basic one but I'm happy with it, next week it changes some more.
Fine job. Changed the car.. high gloss i would say on the rest of paint. Needs a Chrome wrap across the bottom of doors to imatate stainless trim. Maybe copper gold spokes on wheels. Or same lace on hood and boot lid done in mat clear over high gloss clear. Maybe little white pearl in mat. Then you salvaged a paint job. Good luck.. Great work..👍👍
Thanks mate, I had to reread you ideas a few times the mat clear lace over the top of the gloss I liking the sound of, my only concern would be that I wouldn't be able to scuff the gloss clear before doing the matt. But I think it would look pretty cool. That maybe on the cards I think.
Very cool, I love custom paint jobs on a car. I am certain the camera does not do the color shifts from the pearl reflections as if seeing it in person. You rocked that paint job. My compliments to you. My answer: Yes, pearl and shine the body to match, high gloss wet look clear. I have shot cars around the world in almost any condition; tropical, arctic, high altitude, you name it. My professional suggestion since it looked hot at your place: Go with slow hardener for the clear to flow the particles together better. That little extra couple of minutes of cure time lets the coat to lay flatter with less orange peal, that’s if that wasn’t slow with the clear that you used on the roof. I used fast in Alaska since temperatures were sometimes cool and paint was slower to harden and cure, I needed flow to stop as fast as possible. Shooting cars in Hawaii, I used slow due to dry heat on the best days to paint, that worked real well.
Great video as usual, bite the bullet and lace the bonnet and boot and paint the doors black and blend it into the lace work, that's what I'd do... car looks awesome, but it could look more awesomeness😅
I love it. My vote would be mat on the bottom of the car. It looks beauty as is. Just curious. How did you choose the direction of the lace? I would have thought to go the other direction.
STUNNING LACE ROOF!❤
Thank you! 😊
That turned out amazing 👏 🙌 😍 👌. Unbelievable results who needs a paint booth. Great colour choice with the pearls 👌

Thanks Steve it's getting there
Wow - and you did that outside with the bugs blowing by? Props brother.
Thanks mate 👍 it got a few in it but not many, I've seen more trash in paint jobs done in paint booths on youtube.🤣
100% improvement my friend!!
Thanks mate wait till you see the rest next week
@@copperheadkustoms ill be here!! Hahaha
Great video, I want to do this to my 52 Wayfarer.
Thanks, key is to get a large pattern as you can get on the lace a small pattern seems to get lost and looks a bit of a mess.

Thanks appreciate the info 👍 I think your definitely right it was drying a little quick.
Awesome job. I think some black steelies would set it off more than the alloys .. def clear coat the whole car 👌
Thanks mate, yeah I've been looking at different wheel choices.
G'day from Brooksys channel!!
Gday brooksy
Great video as usual, bite the bullet and lace the bonnet and boot and paint the doors black and blend it into the lace work, that's what I'd do... car looks awesome, but it could look more awesomeness😅
🤣
Thanks mate, I was thinking about lacing the boot and bonnet
Do the whole car..do the stainless n da chrome 💪rubiddy rubbbb
👍
You tease, lol. with the truck.:P
🤣
It is coming back soon just waiting on a few more bits to arrive then back on it, 1 or 2 more vids on the Desoto and its finished for the time being.
If you turned the lace 90 degrees it would flow better I think. Wings of the lace to the back. Maybe just me. Other than that. Very nice.
Thanks, I Couldn't get a long enough piece to run length wise roof is to long.
I love it. My vote would be mat on the bottom of the car. It looks beauty as is. Just curious. How did you choose the direction of the lace? I would have thought to go the other direction.
@@Skipping_Rocks it wouldn't fit the other way and that was the longest I could buy
@copperheadkustoms that will do it. You've inspired me and I've already ordered my lace for my 52 Packard.
@@Skipping_Rocks cool the biggest pattern on the lace the better I've done one with a smaller pattern and it didn't work out very well
My OCD would have made me lay the lace at 90 degrees to yours lol
Wouldn't fit that way
Do you let the paint dry, before you take of the lace??
Nice joob!!
Yes let it flash off a bit just so it wouldn't smear
@@copperheadkustoms thank you 🤘
Looks like opal.mad as bro.
Thanks mate 👍
Gloss
Agree 👍
Watching 👀 🇦🇺🇳🇿🦘🎺🌄
Hope you enjoy 😉
@@copperheadkustoms absolutely, very talented mate, love ya work 👌👍🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🦘🎺🌄
Thanks KC appreciate the kind words.🙂
jesus horizontal stripes make the car look fat
👍👍
Looks good but I’m a fan of the plain lacing not the pearls 🥹 I think that it hides the details 😬
👍
