Thats one good COE. A flat bed Might be worth it just to transport cars but how about a boom and sling? How about hiding the radiator and moving the engine as for forward as possible, and try to get a bug catcher scoop out that little flap in the middle little hood? I look forward to the build.

My thoughts on the roofs are hay bales fall on them when loading. All my Bedford's are the same with caved in roofs There was a cab over Bedford complete truck 4x4 not far from my house. Sadly the paint in the body was the only thing holding the rust together. I love a coe.

What about making the air cleaner into the form of that ancient Baghdad battery? The one that was made in a pottery vase.

Cut them edges off the outer shackle. You will still have enough strength some shackles don’t even have that.

I love your can do, budget, diy attitude. The use of a pot lid as a hub cap is the sort of thing I would do but get too scared about doing for a lot of parts. I have those sort of ideas (eg. I was going to use domes from doors off 2 old washing machines as port hole windows on an old van but got convinced from the comments I get from "car guys" that they would be unsafe when driving or never pass a road worthy.) It is great to see someone in Australia doing these creative, clever ideas that I feel a lot of old school hotroding was based off and making cars that look so good.

2 ideas for the air filter cover - An analogue clock with a small mirror so you can read the time on it from the cab like a heads up display or paint up another dog bowl to look like a watch battery and use that as a cover.

Love the battery box. Regards the filter, throwing another idea in the mix, there's is a catering tin you can get it's preety big, would look preety cool. Or just get some skulls on the hardhat

Maybe keep helmet air filter just raise it 6 inches?👍

Maybe you could make an air cleaner top look like a Pirate hat like you have on your flag? But I do like the idea of the skull looking like it’s feeding the motor.

gday ol mate from cessnock nsw you could build a steel skull or just get a cheepy plastic one it would be easier to mount or even just use as a filter etc and i love the treasure battery box idea easy access as well n looks good ..all the best big pete.

At first I thought it was a Devon or summerset Aussie made Ute. Couldn’t figure out the carb size. You got lots of goodies. Maybe build the bed out of some recycled decking boards. Cheap and aged. If painted sand blast. Wood can be heavy for bed. For shop truck. Good luck. Cool shape. Always like the Devon and summerset shape👍👍 have a Good week Mate. Do you have free cycle in Aussie. I thought they was all over the world. Free couch. Charity shops throw them out. Leather goes mouldy if humid . A lot of work. 👍👍

Cool old truck. A lot was used by the military . I worked in a car repair garage when I was 13 onwards. 1978. The owner had a 1943? Austin k2a ex military. gun turret on the roof. But had a nice heavy duty crane set up on the back. Started every time I’d sat up for three weeks in mid winter ice. 4x4 . We go tow in cars with it. 13. And having a Ball.
