I honestly cant see them putting additional 180hp+ on top of the flat plane crack. So much recalibration would be needed for preventing vibration and taking the chance after so many miles suddenly some motors might be giving out. If they do anything to the LT6 they would add electric to it . Maybe that is the way Zora is going. Even Ferrari's SF90 has 769 and adds 217hp with its electric. The sickly fast ferrari 296 puts out less than the z06 at 654 but has electric putting out 217hp. Plus, hearing it around the ring , even with the turbos you would still hear more of a high pitch if it was the 5.5L, doesn't sound like that. The LS9 put out 638hp and its final time was a 7:19 (on the official Nurburgring times). The engineer that drove the car even said there was a slight issue and it could have gone faster. Same year Z06 ran a 7:22 , another official time on the nurburgring official times page. On top of it, the ACR bugged me because it basically had slicks. They basically had slicks with the cup tires vs the pilot sport 2's on the zr1. Doesn't matter, the vette still ran a 7:19 smashing the viper. The C7 zr1 if people remember never got a true Ring time because when they tested it was down over 100hp and when they went to go back that is when they were not letting mfg's do that testing. So the c7 zr1 is a sub 7 minute for sure and the vipers later the acr's all ran Kumho slicks basically. I've driven a couple , one at Willow and tires make a massive difference along with all the Cunards.
Could be. If they go with the C6 ZR1 recipe, they might just stick with an LT2 and trick it out for an FI setup. That could be the cheapest option at the manufacturing level. It would not surprise me that they go "electric ray", but it would sadden me to the core.
Great video but you should try to be more accurate or precise with your statements. your years, horsepower figures and other details are mostly incorrect.
I can't believe people spend what they spend on Challenger's instead of just getting a Vett.. That always blow's my mind when people spend over 100K on a Demon when they could get a C.8
it demonstrates that specsheet numbers aren't everthing, that people get into muscle car culture for the tuning platform and not the comfort of driving a supercar. imo both cars are suited for respectable demographics.
A Demon can do a 9 second quarter mile. A C8 corvette can't do a 9 second quarter mile. Most of America are highways and long straight roads, so straight-line performance is more important or more exploitable by most people.
It won’t be a 5.5.. maybe a 4.2 or 4.5 with turbos. everyone is still speculating whether it will be a flat plane or a cross plane although my hopes is flat plane Btw Z06 starts well above 100k, the car you’re speaking of for around 70k is the C8 Stingray
Liked the video. I think there will be one more version called the zora. Probably a hybrid all wheel drive of the zr1.

ZR1 competes directly with the 992 GT2RS that is coming to market.
That twin-charge "speculation" was way more than speculative... dude practically bet the farm on it
WHAT ...!!!! When did GM do an official release of specs or unveiling...!!! "speculation" is another word for "CLICK BAIT"
C'mon man....!!!!!!
don't hate the player, hate the game!!!
audio is bad but thanks for the info!
